Antoine Winfield is ACTIVE. He was listed as (PROB) with a hamstring injury.

D'Qwell Jackson is ACTIVE. He was listed (QUEST) with an ankle injury. Limited participation in practice Thurs/Fri. Was able to practice some last week too but remained inactive. Crennel had called him day-to-day.

-------------

Zach Thomas remains out with ongoing migraine headache issues -- Channing Crowder stays at MLB. Matt Roth is OUT with a groin injury. Dwight Freeney is on IR with a foot injury -- Robert Mathis moves to RDE as an every down player. Sean Taylor will be out for a few weeks with a knee injury -- Pierson Prioleau gets the bulk of the snaps for now. Dunta Robinson is on IR with a knee and hamstring injury -- Fred Bennett and Demarcus Faggins should get the majority of starter snaps.Freddy Keiaho is off the injury report and will play this week. Juqua Thomas will pick up snaps with the benching of Jevon Kearse, who is INACTIVE this week.

--------------

SNFAaron Schobel (PROB) with an illness. Fully participated in practice Thur/Fri and will play.

Mike Vrabel (see post 3 below) (QUEST) now with a shoulder issue rather than a team decision. Belichick made the change on the injury report yesterday afternoon apparently and there's no additional information to be found. He's probably going to play but YMMV.

MNF

Albert Haynesworth (QUEST) with a hamstring injury. Did not participate in practice all week. Inactive last week in a similar situation despite coaching staff saying he didn't have to practice to play.

John Lynch (PROB) with a neck injury. Fully participated in practice all week and is expected to play.

Nick Harper (QUEST) with a concussion/neck injury. Did not practice all week and is considered a GTD.

Is he not one of those guys Belichick is sitting "just because" like Welker? I shouldn't have assumed, sorry. BRB.....That silly Belichick...Mike Reiss has reported overnight that Vrabel has been switched from (team decision) to a shoulder issue, which wasn't reflected on the Friday injury report.I'll add him above -- I'd guess he's safe to use, but there's no other information apparent in the local sources other than another note in the Providence newspaper that notes the change on the report.

Thanks Jene! Yeah, gotta love Belichick.

Antoine Winfield ACTIVE.
He has been limited in practice. Does anyone have a read on if he will see his normal workload, or will his snaps be limited (i.e. playing in nickel situations)?
I would assume he's returning to his usual role. He's repeatedly made a point of saying he's returning this week. Some risk here, but I'd guess he's planning to take his usual number of snaps.

With D'Qwell Jackson active, what does that do for L. Williams tackles today? Big drop?
He's going to start, which very likely puts Williams back in a nickel role and his up and down value during the first eight weeks. It's possible that Williams could remain the full time player, but neither he nor Andra Davis did anything (positive or negative) to make a lineup switch. With the Ravens missing Heap and Williams, you might not see quite as many three WR sets although the Browns could get ahead enough to get Williams more than 15-20 snaps. And there's always the risk of re-injuring the ankle and things going back to how they were last week.

Derrick Johnson (KC). I did not know he was even injured.

Unless something has changed in the last half hour, he was not on the original list. Let me go searching quickly....I'm going to put the answer in the other thread.See the other thread -- Both Chiefs.com and the KC Star do not have Johnson in their inactives.

Winfield is such a menace on the field, I would start him even if he were playing at only 50%
