Week 13 Game Thread - Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys (1 Viewer)

Gotta love the HoF coach who takes the hot RB (whoever that is that game) out midgame for serieses at a time but today is sticking with a completely ineffective Jones. Not only is his team losing but he's finding ways to flabbergast us fans in the process.
He's almost gone, you'll miss him someday.

It amazes me how dumb NFL coaches are. Seattle is driving near the 2 minute warning for the half. They are around Dallas' 20 with 2:03 on the clock, first down and 10 seconds on the play clock. Do they do the smart thing and let the clock run to the 2 minute warning? No, they run a play and then an incomplete pass. They come back out and get sacked 2 straight plays, followed by Dallas timeouts and now Dallas will get the ball back with about 1:20 left against a defense that they have anhialated all half.

The Seahawks should have been looking to "take the last shot". Let the clock run to the 2 minute warning. Run on 1st down. Dallas would not call timeout in that instance. The clock would run to about 1:20 and then you run your offense.

I doubt it. Been sick of the 3rd and long draw for years.
Yeah we've discussed that 3rd and long shtick ad nauseam. I won't miss that either.

If you are Seattle, do you really run out the clock here? You have 52 seconds left and you have been successful moving the ball through the air.

Barber heading to the locker room early with some kind of concern with his right foot. Regardless of the prognosis, he may very well be done for the day with Pittsburgh up next.

Crap I'm playing against Dallas D, Romo, and Barber in my main league. Just thought everyone needed to know that, pm me for my line-up. :lmao:

Might have just gone to get re-taped or something like that.
I don't know. Now I'm hearing the ankle. We'll see. I'll post anything else I may hear before the second half rolls around.
Ok cool. I have no insider knowledge, just speculating that since it was close to the half and figuring that Seattle would run out the clock they could just go to the locker room

I don't mean to scare anyone, but I was watching a few minutes of the halftime show, and Howie Long was talking about how the Cowboys would be a different offense if it was Tashard Choice carrying the ball for the rest of the season.... only caught about 30 seconds, so maybe I misunderstood him?

You guys are listening to this?

I'm listening to some old Megadeth, with the TV on mute, surprisingly it works. These dudes are hard core.

I have to thank the Audible guys for this one, but I picked up Choice as soon as Jones got hurt. Might pay off, it may not. But if Barber does go down having the undisputed #1RB on a team like Dallas could really help during the playoffs.

They took X-rays on Barber's right ankle at halftime and they came back negative. They expect him to continue to be able to play.ETA: It's more the right foot, not ankle.

Looked like his foot, not ankle to me.

TO must have "had a talk" with Romo for him to pull the trigger on that pass.
translation he started crying lolowens is back to doing what he does best, be a non-factor. thats what I get for being stupid enough to start him!ps anyone else notice when they show the crowd you see very few 81s?

I know the announcers love the QB's, but it is amazing how quickly they are to say a WR "dropped" a pass. It looked to me like the Seattle DB got his hand in there to know the ball away. It certainly didnt look like Crayton had a clean opportunity to catch that.

They dont exactly have a lights out return guy. Why wouldnt they tack 10 yards onto the return and start at the 23?

Edit. Holmgren is just full of stupid decisions today. Has it been like this all year?
