Week 13 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

I will have gone 4-5 in my last 9 games with this lineup:

Brees

Peterson (bust considering where he was drafted)

Tomlinson (bust---no doubt)

Marshall (take away his first two games and he essentially a WR3)

Wayne (absolute bust)

Tony Gonzalez

Thanks for the whole 1/4 of one point Peyton, you SOB.

ETA: And now V. Jackson craps the bed against Atlanta. WTF !!

Still have a shot at a W with Andre on MNF.

You'd think I would have had a good season:

PManning

ADP

Grant

Wayne

SSmith

Gonzo

That great game in indy just made me miss the playoffs for the first time in 8 years. Even if Gonzo and ADP score big.

I need another team to beat a division rival to make the playoffs and the guy tanks it starting Leon Washington and Darren McFadden over Chris Johnson, Brandon Jacobs, and LT. This might be the most pissed I have been in 10+ years of playing fantasy sports. The worst part about the whole thing is that the team that tanked is my best friend.

He'd get kicked out of our league as soon as the lineup became official.

Well my season is over with a 6-6-1 record. Out on tiebreakers....time to start looking to 2009
I hear ya. I'm going to finish 8-5 and losing on a tie-break. Worst part is that I lost one game by .21 and another by .59. Glad I have other leagues, but that stings!

Won this week despite LT but next week is for all the 'marbles' and here comes the friggin' lights-out Raider D! WTF, where's that break-out game for LT that my inner voice has been whispering about for the past several weeks!? This morning all I'm hearing is Start Hillis, Start Jacobs, Start Faulk, Start the coffee pot...

I'm on the verge (provided Andre Johnson scores more than 0.7 points tonight) of losing my fourth straight game, falling to 7-6 and retaining only a very slim shot at my league's wild card slot. I'm so frustrated because on paper this is the best team I have ever assembled.

My roster is in my sig, and according to the latest FBG "Top 200" rankings, this is what it contains:

QB: #4 (positional rank)

RB: #4, 5, 10, 16 & 20 (i.e. five starters in a start 2, 12-team league)

WR: #2, 5, 15, 28 & 44

TE: #2

Def/ST: #4

I just don't know how I could build a stronger team, but they just haven't played up to potential and/or I've started the wrong players each week. I may have to quit fantasy football if (when) I miss the playoffs this season.

This week I scored 130+ points -- in the first 12 weeks there were only 9 better performances in my league. My competitor this week was one game ahead in my division and I would have owned the tie-breaker with a win. He had the two highest scoring RBs for the week (Westbrook and D. Williams) who each scored 4 TDs (which was only the 3rd and 4th time any RB has done that all season).

Arrrgggghhh!

My team is absolutely falling apart going into the playoffs. I hope Indy cuts Wayne. He's a terrible WR.
Mannings stinker yesterday may cost me the playoffs.

Please, for the love of God get out of your own way Frank Gore and make some positive yards. You are killing my team!

I know this is a venting thread and all....But on what planet can Adrian Peterson be considered a bust? I don't care where you drafted him.

Benched Rodgers for Rivers and it cost me a bye. Now I have to hope my matchups are good enough to win this week. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I agree. I could go with "mildly disappointing" but not a bust. Really the same goes for Tomlinson, though he's been a bit bigger disappointment.

It is in order to improve his draft position is his point. I think it is a donk move but he will not be removed from the league.

In the PPR league where I need to win the next 2 weeks to have a shot at wildcard spot for playoffs (where I've lost 4 in a row thanks to Bush being injured and Addai/Wayne/Ocho Cinco sucking it up) I have a 24 point lead going into tonight and my opponent has Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels going.

See you all next year :bag:

It's always about the karma - and he'll get his.

Well, the worst fantasy season of my life has just been put out of its misery. 5-8 record, good for 11th place (out of 14 teams). I know there are far worse hard-luck stories, but my team was the 4th highest scorer (top 6 make playoffs). FBG's lineup dominator and Yahoo projections had my squad as the favorite every week but one. And it seems every week I lost could be pinned on a single bad lineup decision. This final week, just playing for pride, I had Joe Flacco as my QB but swapped him out last minute for Shaun Hill. Flacco outscores Hill by 10; I lose by 2. Every single freakin' week was like that ;)

Went from 12-0 to 12-1 ... only lose of the year and it was meaningless ... but I;'m still pissed.

Wanted to go for perfection .... the sub-500 team I played against had his best week of the season led by Westbrook.

I scored thrid highest this week and played the 1st highest team.... I needed a MJD TD to pull it out for me.

Oh well .. rest up during the Rd 1 bye and get my guys ready for the money round..!!!

I'm venting on behalf of others here...

Tightest season I've ever seen - 7 teams ended up tied with the second best record (7-6). Slaton's TD run with 2 minutes to go changed the outcome of one game, knocking 2 teams out of the playoffs and putting 2 different ones in.

- The team that lost to Slaton would have been the #1 seed (which includes a bye as well as getting your entry fee back) and instead was eliminated all together.

- The second team that was eliminated missed the playoffs by 3.5 points. He just needed Mario Williams to not have a huge game. One less sack from Mr. Williams would have been the difference.

This will be a long one, but have to get it off my chest. Basically, the whatever can go wrong, did go wrong story.

Starts with it being the last week for trading and I have McNabb as my primary QB coming off the Ravens debacle. So, I engineer a trade of McNabb/LJ for P. Manning/Heap (can trade LJ, as I have Forte/DWill/Dunn/Bush in the backfield). Shark move, right?

So, the QB swap blows up in my face for this week, as McNabb explodes and Peyton has his worst game in at least 2 years. At RB, obviously Forte/DWill have tremendous games, but I sub in Dunn for Royal for flex, as Royal is questionable and a late start and our lineups are set at 1 on Sunday. Of course, Royal plays and scores a long TD. My other starting WRs, Wayne and Cotchery, both spit the bit with Bryant on the bench with a TD as well. At TE, I bench Scheffler at last minute for Daniels (mostly a gut call) and, of course, Scheffler finally breaks out, while OD continues to suffer the Sage curse.

All in all, lose the game and a bye week. At least I am in the playoffs, but coming from the last seeded position, so it will be the toughest road to hoe. I am confident in my team, but, after this week's debacle, one only knows what will happen next.

:ptts: :violin:  :football:

Did you win or lose?(AJ)7/75/1 = 20.5 + (OD)2/25 = 4.5 = 25 (PPR) but in non PPR you probably won..close, so how'd you do?

Peterson is the #2 ranked fantasy RB in my league through Week 13 (performance scoring - non-PPR).Only Michael Turner is ranked higher.

Not sure how you could consider that even mildly disappointing... much less a bust.

Lost by score of 132.46-131.33. I fall to 6-7, and there are SIX teams at 7-6 vying for two playoff wildcard spots. I needed to win to stay in. This is my first year playing fantasy football where I don't win any money back at all (unless, by some miracle, I end up having a huge monster week in Pay the Fan netting me +60points on the top 20 guys)Thanks for caring though =)

I just want to vent about the lack of vents this week....

I have come to love this thread when Im feeling down I know there are others who have it worse off than me.

Thanks guys for keeping it real.

: )
