Week 2 waiver wire (1 Viewer)

My quick and dirty takeaway is that there isn't anyone worth burning top waiver priority for this week. I'm going to defer with the expectation that easier decisions lie ahead...

to much here imo.  Asiata will be used quite a bit and probably at goaline.
The news of his injury being just a torn meniscus definitely changes things.  Based on how he couldn't put any weight at all on his leg--I was thinking he would be out for the rest of the year.   With that being said---I'd think that Peterson owners would probably want to put 20-25% of their FAAB budgets towards McKinnon/Asiata.

I have to admit, I'm usually the first one to get angry at the "HOW IS HE AVAILABLE IN YOUR LEAGUE?!?!" guy.

...but Henry and Wentz?  Really?

Griff Whalen anyone?   Chargers just signed him.  He's a scrappy woodhead type player.  Could see some decent usage.  Only wr eligible but may have some value in ppr.
do you mean he's a white guy?

No, it just means that he gets by on hustle and smarts rather than great natural ability. He's not the fastest, but he's very brainy. Plays the game the right way. Very blue collar.
Wait.

What about his 4.38 forty?  Or his 10'01" broad jump? Or even his 7.03 threecone or 20 reps at the 225# bench press? 38" vert?

His natural ability via his measurables were pretty damn excellent.

When compared to this years combine his pro-day flashed as #2 (forty) #8 (broad) #5 (3cone) #4 (vert) #12 (bench) #2 (shuttle)  and he can obviously catch like a demon.

Wentz is available in one of my leagues and I"m surprised he's not available in the other.  Both 12 team leagues with 6 man benches.

Wentz was just dropped in my 12 team dynasty league. No idea why.
The owner may think that Wentz will be a better NFL QB than a fantasy QB in the current Eagles' system.

IMO that's a bit shortsighted. His fantasy upside may be limited with the Pederson regime, but you never know in the future if/when a new coaching regime comes to town.

The timing is peculiar, too. I mean, he drafted Wentz when it looked like he was likely to ride the pine for (at least) the beginning of the season behind Bradford. Bradford gets traded opening the door for Wentz sooner and he actually looks pretty good through two games. I would think Wentz owners would be encouraged right now and either holding or possibly trading but not dropping

Are McKinnon or Asiata worth an early waiver wire choice given the unknown status of the rb situation in Minnesota?

I agree. And as he develops and they realize he's their best offensive weapon, they'll open it up for him. At least they should.

Thinking about dropping McKinnon in favor of Tamme. I have depth at RB and after watching the first two games of the season the Vikings are not run blocking very well (dead last in the NFL so far with a 1.9 YPA). Add in the RBBC factor and this is looking like a mess. If I keep him, I hope that he produces to the extent where he will see more volume but in the end, I am holding two roster spots with ADP and McKinnon with very little current value.

In a deep 18 team league (yes, ridiculous) so RBs at a huge premium.  Here is my order for waiver request. What order would you put these guys in?

Dwayne Washington,

Asiata,

Whittaker,

Drake,

Artis-Payne

Agree with first two, in that order (and am doing the same for my 16-teamer). Beyond that, total crapshoot. Not sure who to trust in Car/Mia. Gun to my head, I'd say CAP/Whittaker/Drake, but I have no idea if that's right.

Barnidge owners in 12 Team PPR leagues will be targeting________________ this week?  I'm a little fearful this will be a streaming position for me this season with the poor drafting, but curious to see what other owners in this particular situation are looking at.

Is Barnidge a drop at this point?

Like Artis-Payne the best, but Stewart could be back in a week or two.  Washington seems like the only one with the potential to be a long-term solution for his team.

Washington

Artis-Payne

Drake

Pick 'em
