This might be the sneaky WR pickup of the week. There may not be clarity around Moncrief before waivers run, but the longer we wait the more I worry about his status.Phillip Dorsett might be rostered but I will mention it here. Moncrief is getting an MRI on his shoulder.
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts are awaiting additional medical opinions on the shoulder injury sustained by wide receiver Donte Moncrief in Sunday's game at Denver.
Those opinions will, the team hopes, help establish a timeline for long how the receiver will be out of the lineup.
Moncrief's injury occurred in the first quarter of a 34-20 loss to the Broncos. He did not return to the game.
If Moncrief is out of the lineup for any length of time, the Colts will have to lean heavily on Phillip Dorsett, who would become the No. 2 receiver behind No. 1 T.Y. Hilton. Moncrief's potential absence would mean an expanded role for backups Quan Bray and Chester Rogers.
In two appearances this season, Moncrief has seven catches for 73 yards and one touchdown.
Yes, Yeldon is awful. Is Ivory worth rostering in a 12 team PPR? He was dropped last week.
Benjamin and Williams both had 6 targetsI don't know about top 20. Williams' stat line would have looked terrible had he not had his long TD. I hate to be that guy that says "well if you take away that one long run..." but he did not get as many looks as Benjamin. I agree that he has potential and size to be great, I own him. I hope he's top 20. He reminds me, oddly enough, of Benjamin from last year. Probably a great bye week fill in and some good trade bait to the right team. I am not sure he warrants every week WR 2 status just yet. I did start him over DT as my WR3 last week and was fairly okay with the swap... but I won't be benching DT again as long as he's healthy.
I'm talking about more action near/in the redzone. I felt like Williams' size made him a much better target near the redzone than Benjamin. I was surprised at this. One week of sample size, so that's not a whole lot to go by I know.Benjamin and Williams both had 6 targets
Don't get me wrong. I'd rather have Benjamin who will be a wr2 while Williams is more a wr3I'm talking about more action near/in the redzone. Again, not to be that guy but I will be... 2/17 isn't as impressive as 3/61/1
Benjamin's 5/70/1 is much better if you take away his 45 yard TD as I did for Williams.
Who knows this week could be the exact opposite. Williams could be a star by the end of the year, but I'm not one to over-react to opportunities for a player. That has burned me in the past. Williams has the opportunity to be a very good fantasy player but that doesn't equal production automatically. All I know is I'm glad I picked him up
Yeah I think that's a clear example of you know what you are getting with Benjamin whereas Williams is more of a wild card with huge potential. I'm not sure that offense can support two WR2s weeklyDon't get me wrong. I'd rather have Benjamin who will be a wr2 while Williams is more a wr3
Yeah, I'm surprised he isn't being talked about more. I guess that's because there is still uncertainty about how much time Moncrief will miss, if any at all. This might be the sneaky WR pickup of the week. There may not be clarity around Moncrief before waivers run, but the longer we wait the more I worry about his status.
How is Michael on waivers? I might gamble with CAP ahead of Washington as Stewarts injury history is more reliable than Murrays.Non-ppr dynasty my claim list is as follows...
1. Christine Michael
2. Jerick McKinnon
3. Dwayne Washington
4. CAP
Anyone wanna convince me otherwise?![]()
I'm dropping Allen for Pitta as I think he will also be a top 10 TE the rest of the way.Maybe you're just not seeing it? Tyrell Williams could be a top 20 WR in that offense. Pitta could easily be a top 8 TE. I think the RBs will come
I guess my fellow owners know Michael's storied history. How is Michael on waivers? I might gamble with CAP ahead of Washington as Stewarts injury history is more reliable than Murrays.
read it wrong obviouslyI guess my fellow owner know Michaels' storied history.
Dwayne Washington is on the Lions.
I think this is correct although I may just leave CAP alone. He looked much improved to me during preseason action, which is why I was a bit surprised to see him inactive weeks 1 and 2(I understand that this may have to do with special teams and etc.) but he would have to be head and shoulders above Tolbert and Fozzy to really return on the investment IMO. It's possible but between Cam, Tolbert and Fozzy I'm not sure there's enough opportunity and subsequent upside. In standard leagues I obviously like him a little more,Non-ppr dynasty my claim list is as follows...

2. Jerick McKinnon

4. CAP

Not a bad add but mccluster is a LOT different than woodhead.I just put a waiver claim in for RB Dexter McCluster
taking over for D.Woodhead...could get a lot of PPR points
well yes of course ...but someone needs to catch that ball out of the backfield ...and hes familiar with the offence ( Ken Whisenhunt )Not a bad add but mccluster is a LOT different than woodhead.
I'll probably save the high priority spot and take my chances on free agency at no costHave the number 4 waiver spot this week and I'm all over the place. Very little solid information out there regarding the length of any of these injuries except for Woodhead. Peterson is anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months. If McKinnon had the backfield to himself he might be worth a shot. Abdullah? Who knows the extent. Stewart has a history of injuries but may be only a couple of weeks. I'm just not sure if any of them are worth the #4 waiver priority. I don't see any of the waiver wire RBs this week as a season changer.
I'll probably save the high priority spot and take my chances on free agency at no cost. Hoping Dwayne Washington slips through as I think he has the highest upside with opportunity.
Good call unless you are in a bad way for this weekend, with so many different RB options on the wire someone is bound to not get picked up. The only waiver RB's that I think are possible season changers are McCluster and Dixon.Have the number 4 waiver spot this week and I'm all over the place. Agree on Dixon -- the time to stash him is now. While he could just be yet another runner in BAL's backfield, no one else has really stepped up yet, and I think Dixon has the skillset to separate himself.Good call unless you are in a bad way for this weekend, with so many different RB options on the wire someone is bound to not get picked up. Wow, that is incredible! Not blowing any FAAB this week in 1 league or #2 priority in the other. Im hoping the guy uses his priority in the latter situation so I end up with top priority until I decide to utilize it. My end of the bench if Ajayi who I honestly dont like but is probably as good of a wild card as the rest of the FA RB's going forward. I think I might drop Graham for Pitta is he makes it thru waivers but not wasting my priority on Capt. Hip.
I like the Dixon call but worried by the time he might be relevant, I'll be clawing out of the basement with Lacy, Ware and Foster -- but I guess most are in same boat with injuries and RB2-3's --
my exact 3 RBsBetter make that <um>, two.I am putting in a claim on Joe T's avatar
See, I know this is more a Assistant Coach question, but was really thinking to cut ties with Foster and nab Dixon that folks have mentioned here--Also have D. Henry on BN. Will have to see what news on Ware (and JC) brings tomorrow/Fridaymy exact 3 RBs
That doesn't sound too good to me. New McKinnon or Asiata owners may be pretty happy...Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 12m12 minutes ago
At last check,#Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (meniscus) was still soliciting opinions on how to proceed, what he can play on. No word yet.
Part of the appeal of Williams is his big play ability and Rivers' penchant for throwing deep to big WRs - this one was more of a catch and run. Your stance is really odd here.Again, not to be that guy but I will be... 2/17 isn't as impressive as 3/61/1
That was my exact same reaction... when he got in the game and took a few carries, I thought to myself, "Who the hell is that guy?" He looked quicker and more agile to me...As someone who road Asiata for that stint in 2014, I watched him pretty closely.. he looked more svelte and nimble to me in relief of AP last week. My buddy texted me saying "Is that Asiata?".
But, still, he has the athletic profile of a FB. I think he'll probably split passing down work with McKinnon and get all the GL work. In between the 20s there still isn't much upside to running him.
I'm kind of torn on McKinnon. We know he's an athletic freak, we've heard it ad nausuem. My question is, is he a good running back? I've watched a lot of his touches and I honestly don't know. All I know is that he can take it to the house on any given touch.
You should probably cut Foster for a RB that has some upside.See, I know this is more a Assistant Coach question, but was really thinking to cut ties with Foster and nab Dixon that folks have mentioned here--Also have D. And now Abdullah is heading to IR. Man, as a Lions homer, I really hate to be right about this. I think AA had a chance to make this his breakout year. Hell, the run he got hurt on was one of the most impressive runs of his career. But I'm telling you, foot sprains never seem to end well. I still remember grabbing CJ Anderson off the WW a couple years ago specifically because Hillman had a foot sprain and Ball had a groin injury that he tried to come back too soon from and reinjured, and I thought, "I can't imagine two injuries that are more likely to linger than those two."The main reason I see Washington as the top claim is because whenever I hear "sprained foot", I assume the guy is going to be out for longer than the team is saying. I still remember the time MJD was "week to week" with a foot sprain and ended up missing like the last 10 games of the season. Same with Ronnie Hillman a couple years ago.
Also, he seems to have the clearest path to a defined role (even if it is on a pretty crappy running game). Yes, he's not a three-downer, but who is these days?

I think after this season entire strategies of fantasy will evolve. The incredible slew of injuries carried over from last year must make one reevaluate how a person drafts. I know AA wasnt that highly drafted I am just speaking in generalities. Seems like a ton of RB's are getting popped just 2 weeks in.Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 3m3 minutes ago
Lions RB Ameer Abdullah to IR. http://www.espn.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0570227197105674307-4 …
As long as he is healthy he is a must start at this point unless you have a clear better alternative.Yes, Yeldon is awful.
I only had a couple of new draft leagues this year and I had already evolved my strategy and it has paid off early. I avoided RB in the early rounds and then loaded heavy on them after that. Time will tell but I got a lot of lower tier starters and short term early starters like Ware and DeAngelo. I figured to run them until the starters were back and then look to fill holes from there.I think after this season entire strategies of fantasy will evolve.
