Footballguy
Start:

QB, Philadelphia Eagles, Donovan Mcnabb @ OAK: Start all of your Eagles.

QB, Seattle Seahawks, Matt Hasselbeck: Impressive last week, will build upon his success.

RB, Pittsburgh Steelers, Rashard Mendenhall vs. CLE: Browns rank dead last against the run.

RB, Green Bay Packers, Ryant Grant vs. DET: Grant hasn't exactly broken out yet, look for it to finally happen against a Lions defence allowing 113 rush yards per Game.

WR, Philadelphia Eagles, Desean Jackson @ OAK: See Donovan McNabb.

WR, Seattle Seahawks, Nate Burleson vs. ARI: 2nd in the NFC in yards, receptions, and touchdowns.

WR, Denver Broncos, Brandon Marshall @ SD: BMarsh is back on track.

TE, New Orleans Saints, Jeremy Shockey vs. NYG: Shockey vowed to have "The Biggest Game of His Season", NPD thinks hes motivated enough to put up some decent stats.

Sit:

QB, Tennessee Titans, Kerry Collins @ NE: Collins will have a few turnovers in this one.

QB, Tampa Bay Bucccaneers, Josh Johnson vs. CAR: You may be impressed by last weeks outing against PHI but Johnson will come back down to earth this week.

RB, Cleveland Browns, Jamal Lewis @ PIT: Don't expect many 100 yard performance from Jamal this season, especially when facing the steel curtain.

RB, New York Giants, Brandon Jacobs @ NO: Saints are only allowing 83 yards per game, and NPD is willing to bet that Ahmad Bradshaw gets the majority of those.

WR, Buffalo Bills, Terrell Owens @ NYJ: T-BLOW, enough said.

WR, San Diego Chargers, Chris Chambers vs. DEN: Perhaps the biggest bust of this years fantasy draft.

WR, Tennessee Titans, Nate Washington @ NE: Washington has not been able to gel within this offense, and it won't happen against NE.

TE, Baltimore Ravens, Todd Heap @ MIN: Minny D will try to take away all of QB Joe Flacco's weapons, Heap included.

Nice analysis, but your everyone on the "Sit" list aside from Jacobs & maybe TO wouldn't actually be on somebody's radar as a player they're considering starting.

Actually, on a bye week where I'm missing Dallas Clark and Vernon Davis, I am looking to start Todd Heap. Additionally, I disagree that he's a sit this week. The TE has seemed to go off regularly against the Minnesota's defense this year.

Yeah but Minnesota will try to take away the offense's weapons.

:goodposting: Oh, noes, forget the stats then! :coffee:

Are you kidding me? I got him for $1 in a $100 auction league. How can he be considered a bust at all, much less the biggest one?

LOL I had the same reaction.Just imagine all the guys out there thinking, "oh no my WR4 is a huge bust, my season's ruined!"

122 1693 6 receptions for 69 yards 1 Td. 12 pts in standard scoring. if your happy with that thats cool.(projected rank) (actual Rank)

Some of you need to relax a bit. The guy made a list that took at least a bit of time to do. Either say something constructive or just pass through.

Gotta agree on Grant, if the line looks decent (which I think they will due to new additions and the bye week) I think the entire offense is in for a big day.

I'm not sure how Josh Johnson comes back to Earth against Carolina after being halfway respectable on the road at Philly. The guy's got some wheels....he could get 2 rushing TD's against the Panthers. The reason the Panthers pass 'D' is rated so high is because they are 30th in rushing defense.

Mendy is sick...
Mendy practiced today and will start
based on what?

Steelers | Mendenhall expected to start, Parker to be worked in Fri Oct 16, 03:10 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall (illness) is expected to start in Week 6, while RB Willie Parker (toe) will be worked in slowly during the game. RB Mewelde Moore will continue to be the third-down back.

:SHRUGS:

I think people are going to be very disappointed by Seahawks passing game this week. Last week was kind of the perfect storm for them. They got an early lead against a team that can't come from behind, was without their best WR and has the worst pass rush in the NFL. Now Arizona doesn't have a great pass defense, but they aren't as bad as their ranking(they faced Manning and Schaub who are both tearing up, and are both better than Hasselbeck) and unlike the Jags, the Cards will be able to get pressure on Hasselbeck, especially with Seattle on to their 4th LT of the year,a guy who wouldn't make most rosters let alone starting lineups.

Frankly, I think the Cardinals defense makes for a spot start if you are playing defense by committee.

I completely agree on DeSean Jackson and Ryan Grant. I think they could both have monster weeks. Especially Grant.

This is a good point on Seattle and Hasslebeck, if the game was in Arz Id have reservations, but being at home I'll take my chances with Matt in a league if I had to

Meant to add: As a Vikings fan, however, their biggest weakness on defense seems to be covering the TE. In fact, on many plays the TE seems to go uncovered altogether. So I like Heap this week a lot. In fact, I'm playing him over Olsen.

Shockey vowed to have "The Biggest Game of His Season",

Is there a link to this? From what I read ... Shockey said that the game was not about him but about 2 great teams going against each other. He refused to discuss anything about himself.

He said that before he was traded away from NY so it really has no relevance to the discussion now, however he could still want it as bad as he did then. It'll still take him getting open and Brees to give him the ball to make it happen.

Don't mean to be critical at all. Was just surprised Chambers could be considered the "biggest" bust of the draft when expectations were extremely low for him. He was (and is) considered the 4th or 5th option on the team behind Gates, VJax, LT2, and possiby Sproles. It's not a matter of being happy or unhappy with his production, it's just I didn't expect anything, nor did most fantasy football owners, at least not according to his preseason WR ranking, which was somehwere in the WR50 range. Thanks for your effort. Always appreciate people taking the time to do these lists.
