Week 7 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Standard scoring…4 pt / passing TD:

Dak P v WASH
Hurts @ MIN

I’ve started Hurts all season but this one has me considering a flip.

Want to get in line on this one due to Thursday night implications.

QB question. Need a Lamar fill in. 4 points per TD pass.

* A. Rodgers @Cinci -- Thursday night game. CINC D obviously terrible, but they're at home and maybe a bit more spunky with Flacco. Rodgers has been terrible throwing it deep, but maybe that changes here.

or

* J. Love @AZ -- Expected a lot more from Love last week. Could see the GB offense doing some nice things here, but there expected pass rate when they get close to the endzone is lousy. All Jacobs all day. AZ D seems middling at best. Brissett at QB possibly an upgrade that forces GB to keep their foot on the pedal.

Which?

Thanks
I Love Love here
Leaning Love.

Just read how Tomlin is absolutely horrible on Thursday nights. Could see A. Smith mucking it up with a sloooow offensive approach.

D question:

* PIT @CINCI -- PIT D coming around. 20 sacks on the season. Now facing an immobile Flacco.

or

* KC vs LV -- KC not being terribly disruptive, but still a solid D. Geno has been giving the ball away repeatedly and Bowers most likely out (and J. Meyers maybe on the trade block).

Which?

Thanks
KC for me
And it's not close
Any particular reason?
Geno is a turnover machine

Need a J Allen fill in – choices are:

Jones/Purdy home to Atl
Rodgers @ Cincy
Flacco home Pitt
Lawrence home to LAR
Brissett home GB
Darnold home Hou

Hate having this many choices and all feel Meh - but I have to do something and I am leaning Lawrence or Rodgers - thanks to all love this forum.

Darnold vs HOU
OR
Stroud @ SEA

Feels close, but leaning towards Stroud. He was unstartable early in the season but is trending upwards. Darnold started hot but HOU's defense is no joke. Only three defenses have allowed less than 100 pts... DEN (97), MIN (95), and HOU (61). Even with the bye, that's only 12PPG allowed.
You make a valis argument
But I'll go with Sam at home
Yes it's a tough matchup
But it is for CJ also
I'm not even sure I'm making an argument. Moreso playing devil's advocate. At first glance, I think my head says "play Sam he's at home." Seems like the higher floor of the two. The counter to that is that I COULD see Seattle getting a TD on the ground, and maybe a defensive score, while Houston has to play from slightly behind and, as a result, CJ has to throw more.

That said, SEA has already surprised me (positively) on more than one occasion this year. They're 3-0 on the road this year, and 1-2 at home (but both close losses two solid teams I would say). They're averaging about 27 PPG while HOU is allowing 12 PPG. Something has to give between the two. While I could see this being a close/low-scoring game, I could also see SEA running away and/or winning it fairly comfortably. I have a hard time seeing HOU winning this game easily, considering how both teams have looked so far.

So, while I do think that MAYBE CJ has a slightly higher ceiling under the "playing from behind" scenario, I also see scenarios where Sam might have the higher floor AND ceiling. I think Sam is probably the safer pick, all things considered (and maybe the pick with more upside as well).

Need to decide if CIN is a tasty enough matchup to throw Jaylen Warren out there tonight

Options, with 1 PPR for RB/WR, 1.5 PPR for TE, and return yards the same as rush/receiving yards (and I've included week-by-week point totals for each of them this season):

Jaylen Warren @CIN: 13.9, 17.4, 13.1, 8.3

Rashid Shaheed @CHI: 11.1, 17.5, 12.2, 10.2, 21.4, 8.9

Tucker Kraft @ ARI: 10.9, 27.4, 7.4, 13.1, 13.3

My matchup is probably pretty even, so I'm scared of another low-target Kraft outing, and fear Warren's ceiling isn't that high

Which sort of leads me to Shaheed, but I don't know if that feels right either (he's not returning kickoffs this year so far unfortunately, but he is still returning punts which has been good for about 2 points per game, give or take)

OK. Full PPR with 1.5 PPR for TE. I'm starting these three for sure....

RB Jacobs @ ARI
WR Adams @ JAC
WR Sutton vs NYG

Need to start three more of these (including at least one of the TE's)....

RB Carter vs GB
RB Gainwell @ CIN
WR Jennings vs ATL
WR Shepard @ DET
TE Hockenson vs PHI
TE Otton @ DET

Do I go both RB's and one of the TE's? One of the RB's and pair up the two TB targets? Both TE's due to the premium? And, if so, with who?

A few thoughts....

TB @ DET should be a shootout. If Evans was out for sure, I think I would have to start Shepard and Otton (who's been solid the last two weeks).
That said, TB-DET is on MNF. I'll need to decide on Sunday if I'm starting either or both of those guys.
PHI is stingy against the TE. Leaning towards Otton over Hock, but it's close. Otton has hit double-digits the last two games. Hock has 3 in a row.
Jennings playing with broken ribs scares me. One big hit, and he's possibly done.

I've got a matchup this week that I SHOULD win. Probably need the safest/highest floor options. Thoughts?

It's close. Good news is all three have good matchups. So, it might be less about "what's the right choice" and more about "all three are good options." CIN is worst in the league in giving up pts to RB. CHI and ARI are bottom half-dozen in terms of pts allowed to WR and TE, respectively. Based on that scoring (PPR premium for TE), the consensus projected scoring is roughly Warren 13, Shaheed 11, and Kraft 12.

I like Warren to have the highest floor, but Shaheed might have the highest ceiling. Kraft somewhere in between. Of the three teams, though, NOS is probably the most likely to play from behind. I sort of like Shaheed for that reason. Chicago will score. NOS will have to try to keep up, and should be able to move the ball somewhat.

On the other hand, in terms of likelihood to score a TD, Shaheed might be the least likely of the three. So, you can make an argument for all three.

Hope that helps.

That is tough, especially with Evans being TBD

Big fan of Jennings, but he's the one clear benching for me with his injuries

I think Hock makes it into your lineup no matter what as the most stable play

After that, maybe you hedge your bets and play one Buc? Or just play both anyway so you don't choose the wrong guy, but I lean Otton if you're just picking one

Reason for starting two Bucs would be a high level of concern about the Green Bay defense holding Carter down, and difficulty trusting Gainwell to get enough snaps

But ultimately Gainwell is a big part of why I'm hesitant to start Warren, so I would probably try him over Shepard (who hasn't been as productive as it felt from watching Buc updates on RedZone)

Shaheed is boom or bust for me,not that that's a bad thing
Warren offers the highest floor I think
Kraft could be a solid choice..or not
Tough call
Warren the safe pick
Shaheed the high risk high reward pick
Kraft somewhere in between
I'll give a slight edge to Warren with a pretty good matchup

Full PPR - who to start in Flex if Mike Evans is out Monday night at Lions?

All these guys are on the WW

Tampa Bay guys at Lions
TE Cade Otton
WR Sterling Shepard
WR Tez Johnson
WR Kameron Johnson

Texans guys at Seahawks
WR Christian Kirk
WR Jayden Higgins

Lions guys home vs Buccs
WR Isaac Teslaa

Cade Otton or Tez Johnson would be my vote - sticking with TB since Mayfield is playing so well.

0.5 PPR.

Flex:
  • Chase Brown vs. Steelers (TNF)
  • McLaurin (May not be healthy so it's a risk if not putting in CB) vs. Cowboys
TE:
  • Fannin vs. Dolphins
  • Henry vs. Titans
I think you have to go Brown, even though you are probably hoping for 10 points.

I'd go Fannin. I think he might be a top-5 TE this week given the matchup and a banged up Njoku.

Rodgers has been terrible throwing it deep, but maybe that changes here.

or

All Jacobs all day. AZ D seems middling at best. Brissett at QB possibly an upgrade that forces GB to keep their foot on the pedal.

Which?

Thanks
I'd go with Love. Expecting run heavy scripts for both, but Love can run and has better weapons. Is probably just a better QB too.
PPR need to choose from
Chase Brown vs Steelers
Jaylen Warren at Bengals

Leaning Warren but didn't like seeing so much Gainwell last week. I think Kaleb Johnson saw most of his carries at end of game when game was decided. Perine also in a lot for Cincy.
Gotta go Warren, I think. Brown has been rough so far, Warren has been decent to good, even splitting more than we'd like.
Standard scoring, non-ppr

Already starting Chase and Judkins (Doesn't get better for an RB than Miami). Need two from the following:

R.Rice vs Raiders - Must start surely?
R.Dowdle @ Jets - appreciate it's early in the week to know if he has a full go or not, if he does, must start?
C.Hubbard @ Jets - if back, do they go 50/50? One to stay away from?
BTJ vs Rams - signs of life last week at least
T.McMillan @ Jets - finally scored last week but might draw Sauce?
KW3 vs Texans - flex option at best
Rice and Thomas would be my picks. If Hubbard is out, then I'd swap in Dowdle for Thomas, but if it looks like Hubbard plays (and it does right now) I'd prefer to wait on see on that backfield.
WDIS 4pt passing TD 6pt rushing TD?

Fields vs Car
D. Jones @ LAC
I think with no Wilson, Jones is the clear call.
PPR 1QB 2RB 1TE 1FX

Maye @ TEN
Mayfield @ DET

Warren @ CIN
Dowdle @ NYJ
C Brown vs PIT
Pollard @ NE
D Adams @ JAX
K Allen vs IND

J Ferguson vs WAS
T Warren @ LAC

1/2 PPR 1 RB 2 WR 1FX

Pollard vs NE
Carter vs GB
Gainwell @ CIN

Adams @ JAC
Pickens vs WAS
K Allen vs IND
Olave @ CHI
Maye>Mayfield given no Egbuka, and a maybe limited Evans.
Dowdle and Warren would be my RB picks, even with Hubbard playing.
Would love to start both TEs, but Adams is a mist start without Puka in my opinion. I guess I'd go Ferguson in a likely shootout.

RB call is tough, I guess I'd go Pollard just because he's probably the clearest starter.
Adams and Pickens would be my WRs, with Allen as my flex.
PPR flex:
Keenan Allen vs Indy: cooled off after hot start. Stable floor of 5-8 targets.
Spears vs NE: should be playing from behind, new regime won't be as beholden to Pollard
Golden @ ARZ: ramping up his routes and has been very close to TD's.
I'd go Allen. Colts are down their top-3 CBs.
Daniel Jones @Chargers
CJ Stroud @Seahawks

:ponder:
I think Jones is the better call here, game has more shootout potential, and he's been better this season.

I'd go Stroud here, for the reason you have, 1 of them is playing the Texans defense.
PPR league. Need one of these three:

* C. Brown vs PIT -- Terrible matchup. Perine being annoying. At some point, Flacco could give him some dump offs.

* T. Higgins vs PIT -- PIT D a bit worse against the pass vs run. May have to air it out a bit more.

* T. McMillan @NYJ -- Tough matchup as Sauce Gardner will shadow. He's still a very tough draw. Ordinarily would say slam dunk here vs. other two options above.

Leaning T. Mac.

Which?

Thanks
I would go McMillan too. I'd prefer not to trust the Bengals if I could.

Which?

Thanks
I'd go KC for the reasons you listed. No Bowers, possibly no Meyers, and Geno is a turnover machine.
Non-PPR

Pollard vs NE
T Higgins vs Pit (Thursday night)
M Carter vs GB
X Worthy vs LV (already have Rice in lineup)

Need 2 and 1 has to be an RB

Thx
I'd go Pollard and Worthy. No worries about starting Rice and Worthy in my eyes.
BHall vs Panthers
CBrown vs Steelers
Hunt or Pacheco vs Raiders

Non ppr TD heavy
Who you going with as rb2? I’m the underdog but I’m ahead in our division. Big game! I’ve been starting Hall but I’m not liking the Jets this week.
Hall by a mile. He's all they have. Might not be pretty, but he should see 20+ touches.
Desperate times here. I need one from this group of four
12 team 1 ppr league
4 pts for passing td's
Rodgers @ Cinn
Flacco v Pitt
Nix v NYG
Stafford v Jax
TIA
I'd go Nix. If Puka was playing I'd say Stafford, but since he's likely not, I like Nix in a solid matchup against NYG.
PPR
Pick 3:
Bourne vs ATL
Diggs @ Ten
Deebo @ DAL
Worthy vs LVR
Goedert @ Min

Thanks !
I think I have them at: Goedert>Deebo>Worthy>Diggs>Bourne

That's with the assumption that McLaurin is out and Kittle is in. Bourne would be the top if Kittle is out, and Deebo is at the bottom if McLaurin is playing.

Here's one:
FFPC scoring:

Need three of the following:

C.Hubbard @ NYJ

J.Warren @ Cinn

R.Dowdle @ NYJ

O.Gadsen vs Ind
I'd sit Gadsden.
Standard scoring…4 pt / passing TD:

Dak P v WASH
Hurts @ MIN

I’ve started Hurts all season but this one has me considering a flip.
Good week to start Dak over Hurts, in shootout conditions, and getting Lamb back.
Need a J Allen fill in – choices are:

Flacco home Pitt
Lawrence home to LAR
Brissett home GB
Darnold home Hou

Hate having this many choices and all feel Meh - but I have to do something and I am leaning Lawrence or Rodgers - thanks to all love this forum.
Its gross, but I think Rodgers is the play. Really the only one with a good matchup.

I'd go Kraft given the TE bonus. He might be slightly more boom/bust, but I'd rather bet on the best player.
OK. Full PPR with 1.5 PPR for TE. I'm starting these three for sure....

RB Jacobs @ ARI
WR Adams @ JAC
WR Sutton vs NYG

Due to the scoring, I'm gonna say both TE's. I'd also go Carter, with the assumption he gets a lot of garbage time receptions.

Otton would be my pick out of that group, though I think Evans will play.

Standard league: Swift popped up on injury report as Limited practice (Groin)

Swift vs NO (Dont know his status for this weekend)
or
Warren @ Cin?

Tough injury year and in a crucial week to keep pace. Barkley not producing to expectations so need to find points in other plays:

TE non-ppr - pick 1 pls:
Fannin vs Miami
Hunter @ Tenn
Otton @ Detroit - Have Evans but waiting on status

WR non-ppr - pick 1 pls - assuming Evans is trending south or out:

JWilliams vs TB
Allen vs Indy - solid MU but constrained by Evans risk of GTD
A TB WR not named Evans

.5PPR WDIS at WR? Already have Nico + Sutton in.

AJB @ Minn
Diggs @ Tenn
I would take my chances on Diggs in Vrabel revenge game plus more stability in the NE passing game. The Eagles are still going thru the motions. The offense is atrocious. I have Barkley and feelings are mixed between- they will eventually breakout or its the same unwatchable dreck.

I get to find 4 warm bodies out of this group. Leaning toward the bolded

Full PPR. Lots of options to consider. WR/TE is the same position for us.

Do I drop somebody from active roster and pick up a Monday night guy in case Evans is playing? That way I could drop the extra guy and activate Evans. (Also who to drop if I go that route, and who to pick up in case Evans is out and I have to play the new guy)

Start 3 WR/TE plus a flex

Currently on active roster - short bench so I can only carry 10 between RB and WR/TE, and I have 5 RB at the moment (Henry, Judkins, Kyren Williams, Charbonnet, Kendre Miller)
WR Nico Collins at Seahawks
WR Courtland Sutton vs Giants
TE Jake Ferguson vs Commandoes
WR Romeo Doubs vs Cardinals
WR Kendrick Bourne vs Falcons

Currently on IR spot
WR Mike Evans at Lions (Monday night)
WR Jalen Coker at Jets - nobody has him ranked high, but if Sauce takes Tet that leaves the #2 WR to feast

Currently on WW
WR Sterling Shepard at Lions (Monday night)
WR Tez Johnson at Lions (Monday night)
WR Kameron Johnson at Lions (Monday night)

PPR League. Need three of these guys and one has to be an RB.

* T. Pollard vs NE -- Terrible matchup. T. Spears eating into snaps.

* I. Pacheco vs LV -- Quietly dominated snaps last week. Looked good. LV game script should be positive. Coming out party?

* S. Sheppard @ DET -- Egbuka out, Evans still not 100%. DET with injured CBs. Should be a shootout. T. Johnson seems like the deep threat, while Sheppard out of the slot could have a decent floor.

* M. Carter or Bam Knight vs GB -- Not a great matchup. Demarcado out. Probably split. Carter more of the pass catching back so if GB up he could be the play.

* T. Franklin vs NYG -- Sneaky good matchup. NYGs are a pass funnel. Give up a ton to the slot. But can you trust Nix?

* J. Coker @NYJ -- Great matchup. TMac will be lined up with Sauce. That said, first game back. Not sure if he's on a pitch count.

* D. Waller @ CLE -- Not a good matchup. CLE tough against TEs. Weather looks terrible with rain and heavy winds.

* Z. Ertz @DAL -- McLaurin out, Deebo banged up. This should be a shootout and somebody is going to catch the ball.

Which three?

Leaning: Pacheco, Sheppard, Ertz.

Thanks

Superflex league. 4 points per TD pass. Need two of these QBs:

* M. Penix @SF - SF D banged up. May have to throw a bit more than usual vs. hand off to Bijan.

* M. Jones vs ATL - Purdy out. ATL D looking pretty good. Mac was sub par last week, but he's getting Kittle back, Jennings is off the injury report, and of course his buddy Bourne is in the mix.

* S. Rattler @CHI -- Really good matchup. CHI can't get pressure and is giving up points to QBs. Ratter is keeping mistakes to a minimum and keeping Olave afloat. A bit underrated.

* S. Darnold vs HOU -- Not a great matchup, but he's the best QB on the list. Could give him the benefit of the doubt at home.

* C. Wentz vs PHI -- Revenge game? PHI D aint what it used to be. McCarthy out.

Which 2?

THanks!

Leaning: Pacheco, Sheppard, Ertz.

Thanks
I agree with Pacheco and Ertz...and I can't disagree about Sheppard, but really want to pick someone else.

Which 2?

THanks!
I'd take two of the guys at home...not Wentz.
