I don't think you can start Teddy right now. Broncos just seem to be imploding.
That said, while I think Jones is the pick, he's always going to be a high-variance play, as we've seen in recent weeks. Think of it this way: Imagine you wake up Tuesday morning and KC righted the ship in a 49-3 blowout where Jones went 160/0/3 with a couple fumbles. Would you really be all that shocked?
As for me, I'm still trying to find my temp Wilson replacement. Used Ryan last week, and he's fine, but may pivot this week to Jones, Wentz or Tua. Leaning Wentz at the moment, especially since I could then hold him for Jets/Jax the following two weeks (by which point Wilson will hopefully be back)

Looking at my roster over the next couple weeks, I decided I need to put in a claim for Carter (I'm last in priority, so I probably won't get it). I need someone who's a startable asset, even if he has a low ceiling.

Traded for a TE to cover for Waller, so now OJ Howard hits the bricks and I have an extra spot I didn’t know I had which I should go after running back depth, but it’s really lacking out there past the Philly Rbs which I don’t think I’ll get.
Gianwell and Boston scott seem to be the hot commodity. Gainwell is frustrating because I held him all year for this very moment until his bucs game where he did nothing.
But I just can’t trust their coaching staff and Hurts as a runner to ever feel like I’d start one.
Collins and Penny also available but feel the same way about them.
Might be as good of a time as any time grab a second defense to hold NO through the TB game. They’ve been putting up points and look like they are playing angry.

Good thoughts, I would not be shocked by a Jones implosion, but I would be disappointed considering KC's awful D.
One issue is this league most teams carry two qb's. So it's Jones, Tua, Heineke, Teddy and that's about all I have to choose from. Can't start Tua on the road at Buff or Heineke on the road at Denver (their D has been bad but don't trust him AT ALL). So thus my Jones/Teddy choice. Assuming I can get him off of waivers Jones will be the guy.

Agree in your situation that's probably the pick. Just make sure to have your Maalox nearby on Monday night.

You're quoting a post from Monday morning. Perhaps somebody leaked the severity by that point, but it wasn't in this or the Sanders thread.
But no, there's nothing murky about a 2-3 week low ankle sprain. I'm probably going to let a bubble team blow their wad on this one. I would have spent up if there was a fair chance of getting a week 15 start, not that another Sanders injury is out of the question when he returns.

At what point do we think about adding Deshaun Watson? Does he actually play this year if traded?
1) Does he get traded? Sounds very possible.
2) If he does, will the league allow him to play this year? Signs point to yes.
3) If the team can play him, will they play him? Probably. There's a lot of desperate teams and if they are paying that much on him I'd think they'd want return on value immediately.
4) If they play him, can backlash from fans cause the league to backtrack and suspend him? Possibly, the league hates negative press.
5) How long does it take for him to learn an offense / for you to trust and start him? Unless desperate, I'm assuming at least 2-3 games to learn the book.
6) Then how long to build rapport?
I think the answer is its worth a shot, but there's so many good QBs in this league so I have a hard time thinking you won't have any good QBs before you can comfortably start him. He has a lot of barriers to being elite and I'm not sure if he'll immediately turn whatever bad team he joins into a contender from week 1.

Aaron threw several passes to Tonyan when he was covered. Anyway. I think he has good hands, but defenses may be paying more attention to him in 2021?

He is currently TE20 in snaps, while playing all 7 games, and only has 15 catches on 25 targets. Here are some numbers to check out: 6, 8, 8, 8, 10, 52, 63
Those numbers represent Tonyan's weekly yardage. No, those aren't typos and I ain't missing any extra digits. He has 10 yards or less in 5 of 7 games.

Just so enticing imagining super star QB performing like a rock star lol.
Decided I don't need the speculative add in two leagues in which I will just play and hold only one QB - Josh Allen. Bye week is over. Unless injury, heaven forbid, he starts the ROS.
Now, in another league we start Jaylen Hurts, who has been better then expected. Kinda scary when he gets off to such a slow start. And his passing accuracy is well, say way below average. Can he keep up the fantasy point totals? Idk - I imagine he's do for a dud or two, but when. So, that leads me to add a second QB in this league for insurance if you will. Just picked up Deshaun Watson but wondering if I should just drop him for Kirk Cousins who sits atop the waiver wire QB's. He's kinda of a sure thing with consistent points 18-20. MSU or UM?

I added him in 1 QB re-draft for 6% faab (could have had him for free). Tying up a bench spot for one week to gain resolution seems like a fair enough proposition. There are a couple of teams in my league that will pay something for the name if he's traded and gets on the field.
Even though it says the trade terms have been negotiated, it sure seems like contingency picks are going to be the answer to the pending legal issues and potential for future suspension. Otherwise, why in the world would Miami poison the Tua well this soon just to reach this obvious impasse.

Possibly only for 2QB/Superflex consideration. But in my case as an emergency backup in 1QB redraft I am considering Tyrod Taylor. He played well before injury, has a rushing floor, and the schedule isn't bad after the Rams. Helps if Brandin Cooks stays put at the trade deadline of course.

As soon as I commented on the post it took me about 5 minutes to come to my senses and drop Watson for Cousins. I saw someone had Carr on a bye and thought, If I were that manager without a second QB I'd go Cousins for sure. Cousins is low end QB 1, nothing to shake your head at. He's definitely a bird in the hand vs. nothing in the bush. And I thought even IF Watson gets signed it may take a lil while to see anything, and IF I ever got rambunctious he can be picked up again after a few days or next week. No one seems confident with Dear Mr. Watson quite yet. Thanks.

Sounds like Tyrod could potentially be back this week. Not a great match-up vs. the Rams, but next week he gets the Dolphins. I could see either QB in that game being streamable (of course, by that point Watson may be starting for the Dolphins, so I guess he'd be streamable as well)

They’ve been good against receivers as well and they have played the best. They have had great play out of their linebackers….I Simmons, Z Collins, J Hicks, Marcus Golden. They also have Budda Baker backing it up. They were good against TE last year.
I would still roll with Tonyan given the Packer situation.

It all depends on timing. It could be Jeff Wilson, Jr. who is on IR. If you have IR space perhaps him? Do a little more research as I am avoiding SF RB's for now. Wilson could be the play for the last 6-8 games idk.

I think I might be in on Cobb for a spot start on Thursday in my 14-team re-draft. I have resorted to starting Tim Patrick in that spot and I think it's time to move on with Jeudy coming back (even though I think he's playable against the Redskins secondary).
Cobb has been reasonably efficient with the limited targets he has received and I don't see Rodgers not finishing north of 250 yards. Somebody has to produce with Adams and Lazard out.

Better pick up this week: Perine or Pollard?
Carson was my main RB so I'm left trying to stream the best option week to week at this point.

Against the Jets and Mike White, I think Perine is probably the week 8 winner. However, if I was you I would scoop Pollard, hold, and start if that's the only move you can make.
I think Pollard is an RB1 if Zeke goes down. It's far more likely that Mixon breaks down first, but I doubt Perine is in RB1 conversation if that happens.
You can plug Pollard into RB2 or FLEX every week and it won't hurt too much even with a healthy Zeke. Normally, I would only feel comfortable doing that with Perine if Cincy is playing someone awful where you can count on garbage time carries, or if Mixon is hobbled.

I think Lindsay is more talented, but they don’t seem to have used him much all year. I think the backfield is probably a stay away for now, especially against the Rams this week
Def can’t play anyone this week but they have the Dolphins Jags Jets on tap I’d think DJ is worth the add. More of an early down profile than Lindsay and probably better in the receiving game. If he gets a 3 down workload with Lindsay merely a COP that has value even on the worst team.

This is my understanding too, that Lindsay hasn’t been the passing down back. Doesn’t profile as the early down back. If DJ is getting majority of early down work, the majority of receiving work, and goal line work…that’s playable in a lot of matchups.

Don't forget, Pitt played Mon & Cle played Thurs. Pittsburgh only had 3 more days off than Cleveland.

Picked him up 3 weeks ago almost as a novelty when he became available in dynasty for the first time since the league started. I figured he might be a worthwhile hold through the deadline. However, I dumped him after a couple of weeks in favor of Jeff Wilson. I was surprised to see that he was still available after the news broke and figured I have to at least see what this rotation looks like with Ingram out the door (dropped Tony Jones).
Lindsay was picked up 6 minutes after I grabbed Johnson. Maybe that's the better play in dynasty, but I think Johnson will do more as an RB4 / RB5 depth piece for ROS.

The path is there for rb2 for David Johnson if he sustains 3-5 receptions a game and tyrod throws for 200-250 a game, wish his rushing
I really like this move. Ingram with Saints. That's a backfield I want a part of. Worth a flyer for sure.
I just got Agnew after whiffing in FAAB on the others I was trying to get. I hope he is a thing. I know nothing about him.
