What are Leonard owners getting from the SJax owners in Trades?

I picked up Leonard in the majority of my leagues and don't know what to offer him up for, what are some of you guys getting for him?

The SJax owner in my league is hurting right now - I'm going to try and package he and Caddy for Portis...I think he'll bite.

nothing yet.

I have S-jax and I'm no offering anything more than Leon Washington right now. If the injury lasts more than 1 week and Leonard does anything (not very likely vs Dallas) I may make an offer but it won't be much.

Of course I'm lucky enough to have Rudi, T Jones, Lamont and KJ as well. (10 team keeper)

Nothing bc I dropped him last week for Antwan Randel-El. Brilliant!

If I still had him, I'd expect I could probably net a mid-tier TE or WR3 straight up. Wouldn't expect much more. Maybe package to upgrade slightly at a position, similar to the proposed Leonard-Caddy for Portis deal, though I'd likely try the move to upgrade at a non-RB position.

Same here. I've offered these two trades:Leonard, Issac Bruce, and Greg Jennings for T.O.Leonard for Minn DefDoubt he'll bite on either but I thought, what the heck. I'm not planning on starting Leonard this week.

They best I will be able to get for Leanard is the satisfaction of him being on my bench while the 3-0 team is forced to start Rueben Droughns
Playing against a Steven Jackson owner this week who also has Reggie Bush / LenDale White / Warrick Dunn / Chris Brown.I think it'll be a good idea to keep Leonard on my bench. My RB's should be able to outscore Warrick Dunn and whoever else he has to pick off the waiver wire. (Michael Pittman, Ron Dayne, etc...)

BTW - for SJax owners out there... if this injury is in any way similar to Fred Taylor's a few years back, prepare.

I couldnt even put the guy on the DL because he was never formally out for more than a couple weeks at a time - which became the whole freakin' season.

I was offered Leonard and Garcia for Romo. :homer:

Countered with Romo, A. Green, Norwood for Kitna, K.Jones (he has Dunn). Not surprisingly no trades being made.

The first trade is pretty much an insult. The second is very reasonable. I'm surprised the same person made both offers. Normally a guy who would offer the first one wouldn't have the presence of mind to offer the second.

If somebody grabs Leonard off waivers tonight before me, I won't offer more than a solid WR3 for him. meh, maybe I'll throw in an RB4.

Still clinging to line stability and improved groin status :goodposting: after the Ravens game...

Nice to see a reasonably civil offer. You're to be commended. Some dude offered me Julius and Bruce for SJAX today... :loco:
I can't take that - the league idiot consistently offers 4 for 2's all year...something along the lines of Darrell Jackson, Terry Glenn, Rex Grossman, and Joey Harrington for the likes of Steve Smith and Antonio Gates. :tfp:

I'm an SJax owner and was offered Leonard for my 1st round pick next year. I'm considering it.

I finished 1st in the league last year and 2nd the previous three years, have LT and Edge and am solid at other positions (can start up to 4 RBs), so my team s/b pretty good still. The 1st s/b late, like in the 10-14 range. I'd like to just wait out the injury but I'm 1-2 to begin this year. So, rather than sucking wind the next few weeks, maybe giving up a late 1st to help save my season is worth it. I also do pretty well with later picks and the WW, so losing the 1st probably isn't that critical.

I realize as I'm typing this that I'm trying to talk myself into accepting the offer. It just seems a lot for a handcuff though. Then again, if SJax is out like Fred Taylor was a few years ago it will have been well worth it.

:lmao: Maybe he thinks you need WR and QB depth?Seriously - everyone who get's "offended" by trade offers needs to chill. This just in: not everyone views players the same way. A few weeks ago, Marshawn Lynch and Brandon Jackson were elite rookie picks. Now people are considering dropping them/trading them to pick up Brian Leonard or Wynn (or were...last week). What's Leonard worth right now? What if he has 96 yards on 18 rushes and 1 TD and 46 receiving yards on 8 catches this week? What if he averages 2.4 ypc? Which willm it be closer to? How long will Sjax be out? When people offer trades, there is a ton of unpoken assumptions. One of the biggest seems to be "He must think I'm an idiot"

By the way, in the 5 non-PPR dynasty leagues I'm in, Leonard went between 2.05 and 2.11 (19th to 25th overall) in rookie drafts last year. Certainly his value right now has to be more than that to an SJax owner. Just a tidbit to help you guys figure out his current value.

Nah man, you don't understand. This guy floods everybody's, and I mean EVERYBODY's, inbox w/ his garbage. When he is consistently packaging WR's 4 and 5, in hopes of a WR 1...something is wrong. And who in their right mind would consider dropping Lynch? The guy has faced three top defenses, has averaged a total of 88 yds a game, and scored twice. If I were a Lynch owner, I would be pleasantly surprised - especially because Jauron's rumor of RBBC has been non-existent.

There is a certain irony to the fact that SJAX gets injured right after he posts a blog complaining about people handcuffing BLeonard and saying we wouldn't need him. Well, I for one am glad I drafted Leonard on both of the teams I got SJax on. I'm not sure I'm starting him, though. In one league I'd be starting him over Edge and Cadillac. Not likely.

How sure is the three weeks thing? I have seen one week or less. Are the Rams usually going to downplay injuries? Personally, I'm assuming the worst but I'm wondering where the three weeks quote is coming from.

BTW, sorry for sharing my team details. My narcissism kicked in for a moment there.

I'd be careful there - if my memory serves me correctly and Gruden's quote has any substance, TB has a history of no ground game vs. Carolina.I personally am a Caddy owner, hopefully not for much longer however.

Narcissism aside, I believe Leonard will put up some pretty solid #'s in the next coming weeks. Linehan won't rush SJAX back out there...they'll be done in two more weeks anyways. If I were a SJAX owner, I'd look to trade for him next week after he puts up average #'s against Dallas. In the next four, he plays Ari, Clev, and Sea (albeit, also Balt).

I agree, I own Leonard and he will never be cheaper than he is today.

FWIW, he rejected the first, and the second offer (Leonard for Minn Def) still remains.

*sigh* I cut him for the immortal Deshawn Wynn last week (and he was my handcuff for Jackson :wall: :wall: :wall:

Tried to get him back on waivers but naturally he was gone by my position in the waiver order :goodposting:

That said, a small part of me ponders if it does me a favor indirectly as the Rams offense has been awful (like KC Chiefs awful) and I dunno if Leonard really will change that.

Well lookin' at the guy who picked him up, he's a bit thin at receiver other than L Fitzgerald (Reggie Brown - who I already cut earlier this year, Lee Evans, and the injured Andre Johnson are what he has). If a trade were workable, he'd probably want Braylon Edwards (which I won't do). My other receivers are S Moss (which I doubt he'd take), R Curry (which may be more appealing than Moss, but probably not) or Bruce (who I don't see him taking either).

He's also 0-3 so I think that having the starting RB in there, even if for a couple weeks, is going to be more valuable to him anyway.

*sigh*
