Lobster Newburg

Yesterday started with me making blueberry pecan pancakes, bacon, fried eggs, coffee and cranberry juice. Then my wife started cooking. Well, she actually started cooking on Monday making some things ahead of time. Fresh cranberry sauce, cream cheese mashed potatoes, candid yams, collard greens and some other prep work. Then on Christmas Day she cooked a boneless turkey breast and stuffing with pecans and cranberries. While we were eating that, she had in the oven a pecan cobbler. We ate that later at night topped with vanilla bean gelato. I must admit, it was one of the best meals she had ever cooked. It was only the two of us, so lots of leftovers to last for days.We went out to eat for Thanksgiving, so my wife decided to cook the whole "Thanksgiving dinner" meal for Christmas. I can't wait.
We had all of the kids home last weekend and had just a bunch of finger food:
Pulled beef sliders
Cocktail smokies
Chips and Cheese/meat dip
Veggies
Fruits
X-mas snacks
Today we have a couple friends coming over whose kids are also not home
Prime Rib
Cheesy Hashbrowns
Garlic mashed potatoes (for the son who still lives at home and doesn't like Cheesy potatoes)
Cord
Assorted pies and snacks
Corn....lolWe had all of the kids home last weekend and had just a bunch of finger food:

Old age and bifocals are getting the best of me
Never cook by time, I always have probes or a digital thermometer and check often, it's the only foolproof way.Dumb move on my part not doing my prime rib on the Traeger. Just followed the directions provided by Costco. Sorry. That 500 for 25 minutes then turn it down is a terrible way to cook a primer. Outside gets too done. Not pink all the way through. Next year - back on the Traeger. Still was OK but not Smails worthy
