WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING WITH RODDY WHITE? (1 Viewer)

Just traded for White this morning. Snagged him for Moreno. Feel like i got him at a great bargain since the back field in Denver is such a mess. In another league i also put in a trade for him, offered up Mathews but i doubt it will go through.

I was hoping to start him this week as I figure 6 weeks is typical recovery time for high ankle sprain. But his missing practice Wed and being limited today has me worried. Will be waiting to see a full practice before I start.

Just traded FJax and A Bradshaw for Roddy. Thinking he will ride the pine until week 7. Wasn't thrilled to give up my RB 4 & 5, but roddy's upside is too appealling.

Sweet! How many other leagues are you in? What other roster moves have you made?

I am not playing white until he has a good game, and looks good doing it.

My guess is around week 8
I'm of the same opinion, but it just pisses me off b/c if he would just take a couple games off he and we will be better off ROS. All this decoy play is only drawing out (and potentially worsening) the healing process. I wish the Falcons and the player were as smart as we are about this situation.

The topic is what are you doing with Roddy white. My response is trading for him and waiting until week 7. Figured people on this message board would also appreciate knowing what players people are willing to trade for him to put it in context.

Would you have preferred that just I say I am buying him and leave out the rest? Would that help anyone reading this topic? Or would it just have taken up additional space like your unhelpful responses to my post? Thanks again for being sweet bros. Keep being awesome at the internet.

Totally rad, but wtf would you do with white? least he was on topic
People doing this is more annoying then what you qouted

Nope, but either way, you should probably play bowe and bench white until he has a good practice/game. He missed practice Wednesday and was limited yesterday, just like last week. Expect the same results on the field.

I tend to agree. I mean are teams really worried about White out there? It's not like they don't know he's not 100%, right? Are teams really still playing more attention to him than Julio?

I think he's getting closer. If I hear anything positive today I think I will start him. Snf prime time seems like a great time to return. .. They also need a win badly

What would be positive enough for you to hear? Full practice? If he does practice in full i would consider it, but if hes limited again, i just don't see him doing anything other than what hes done the last 3 weeks.

I agree. If it's another limited with no other info then no start but if it's a full and/or we hear he looks good on the field then it's a go

Anyone else think he actually looked okay out there this Sunday even though he only had 28 yards? I think he's going to break out soon either this game or after bye.

He is running routes where he stops, turns, and tries to cut to the left. But............instead of cutting, he hops on his gimpy leg and barely moved to the left. This was TONIGHT!!

To me he is a good month away. Week 9.

So he played in 74 of the 76 snaps on SNF and was targeted 9 times. Is this the week to start him? Especially with Cromartie over Julio Jones?

FYI - some people checking into this thread actually find wigg's type of post helpful - they help gauge trade value and also give an idea if people are trading or holding on the player in question. Carry on.

Absolutely try to buy Roddy this week. Many White owners are probably hurting right now and White isn't going to 100% or close to it until after ATL's bye (week 6). It could be more like Week 8 or 9. You could get him for a deep discount.

Too bad ATL is 1-3. If ATL was say 3-1, they could sit Roddy this week and give him 2 full weeks of rest. That would be best for his owners and the Falcons as a team.

If you have White and aren't desperate, you have to hold him and wait until he has a solid game, then you can consider dealing him then.

They really tried to get him more involved this past week. I realize his ankle held him back a bit but Ryan really misfired on a couple of the throws to him... esp that 4th down play

Their timing has to be off some. Just haven't been able to get reps together with that ankle. That said, I still may start him this week. My WR's are killing me.

What better way to come back out right before the buy vs the jets. Only thing I worry is they go up big and sit him.

I'm playing him, so far every guy I replaced him with has give 3 for 40 anyway so what does it matter if it comes from White

My thinking exactly. You either hold until he blows up and then insert him into your starting lineup, or you take a chance and hope this is the week you don't leave his points on your bench. I think this is the week to roll the dice.

I can think of worse flex options, if you already have other WRs. I may roll him out this week over Jolique Bell

They have not played very well all season. I doubt they get the chance to sit anybody. Hell the jets might beat them

I'm with ya dude. The Jets are scrappy and ATL needs some wins. If he can go at all, I think they'll use him more than just a decoy.

With Garcon on a bye this week, I think I'm gonna play Roddy. It's between him or Givens for my WR2 spot. Givens does have a nice matchup against the Jags, but has been inconsistent so far this year. It's a tough call.

I think I'm going to finally pull the trigger and start him this week. He's been more involved in the O the past couple of weeks, this past weeks particular. That bodes well for how the team sees his health IMO. I think he will be back to himself after the bye week. Even at say 80% I think he can have a good game this week.
