I read an article yesterday about how if you want to be treated well/better by airline personnel, you should wear nicer clothes on the plane. This is generally what I do when I travel by plane, but what do the other denizens of this place do? Those that don't fly by Netjets or own their own G5, of course.

Most comfortable outfit as possible. Unless I'm directly off the plane and to a meeting, sweats/flip flops it is. I've always been treated well.

Always something comfortable with flip flops. Never had a problem with airline staff treating me like crap or anything.

For business are you assuming you're going straight from the airport to whatever office you're going to? If I'm not staying at a hotel to be able to change, I guess I'd have to dress as I would for work.

Cabin temperatures almost always are too hot for me so I wear shorts on the plane regardless of the weather on the ground. I have convertible pants w zip-off bottoms or I change pants upon arrival.

Depends. Those bathrooms are too small.

Really, in the summer it's shorts, in the winter it's probably jeans and a T with flip flops or my slip-on running shoes (easier to get through security).

Your last option doesn't work for us. We "dress up" for military operations.

The only dressing up I do is wear socks with my flip flops as to not offend. Also, it doesnt matter what you wear in first class, they will be nice to you..

Waitng in line 2 hours before your Southwest flight and running to your seat does not equal first class.

Is that just in case you run into Michael Sam?

this offends me.. socks and flip flops? why not wear shoes?
I quit management a few years ago and just take care of my own accounts now which are all within 15 miles of my office, so I never have to fly for business anymore. And my favorite vacation is about a week in Vegas, where I eat good food, drink, play in the pool, and play poker at the Venetian with a massage girl behind me the entire time.

I dont check any luggage and bring 3 pairs of shorts, 5 tshirts, 5 pairs of underwear one set of flip flops, and one pair of socks for the plane..

I don't dress any different for a plane ride. It just depends what I plan to do when i get off the plane. It won't be sweats or anything similar as I don't jump off a plane and go to a gym.

What better treatment...an extra little baggie of pretzels? An extra few ice cubes in your drink?

What could dressing up possibly get me?
