What does Bush, M Bell and Norwood have in common? (1 Viewer)

Napoleon Dynamite

Their best games (stats wise) came against the Titans.

Preseason week 1: Bush 6-59

Preseason week 2: M Bell 10-73 2tds

Preseason week 3: Norwood 9-104 1td

Preseason week 4: they might make Najeh look good!

This might be the best time to trade away Norwood.

Bush has speed and will be fine if he can get to the open field. The question is will they find ways to utilyse that speed and get him in the open field?

I still say he is over hyped badly. But there is no doubt he is fast and dangerous in open field. It's just a matter of can N.O take advantage of him often enough to be of fantasy sucess? You owners will probably have both some suceess and some failures with him is my guess.

It is just preseason and nobody should have too much of an opinion until mid season on rookies. Its way to early to judge players.

What does T. Bell, W. Dunn, and D. McAllister have in common......

They all were out gained by Bush, Bell, and Norwood in their games.

Bush doesn't look so special after you see what the other guys have done against that D.
Avg over 4 yards a touch tonight against a good D. Bush will be just fine.
While McAllister & some scrub named Branch averaged over 10 yards a carry in the same game. Colts D gives up yards to RBs. Bush is going way too high in drafts. By mid season he may be a weapon, but he is dancing around in the backfield way too much right now. It won't work on a consistent basis in the pros.

He will learn that, all rookies adjust

McAllister vs. Indy - 6/62, TDBush vs. Indy - 5/22, FumbleI think McAllister out played Bush tonight...
He did well against Indy's second team D. The regular season will be the true test.
Well...Bush didn't get into positive yards rushing until the 3rd quarter (against the 2nd team D), gaining his 22 yards on back to back plays. Bush will improve, but I think McAllister leads the team in rushing this season. Bush will do his damage in PPR leagues, if your drafting him in a standard scoring system, where the FBG have him ranked, you will be disappointed.

Unfortunately most leagues draft prior to mid season, so we all better form an opinion a little earlier then that.

Mike Bell will be a top 10 RB this year, not sure why you grouped him with Bush and Norwood.
My point is these players received extra hype after putting up very nice stats vs a very weak rush D (Titans) and really haven't done anything all that (rushing wise) vs other teams.

Bell had only a few touches in the first game (and fumbled). Then he played the Titans and plays the Texans tonight. You won't get a good feel for how he'll run against a top-notch defense until week 3 when he plays NE. St Louis and KC are the first two games.

I agree with this 100% thats why It drives me crazy when a guy like Bush comes out of college and they annoit him the next great running back. Only time will tell if any college running back becomes a good/great pro. The consensus is Bush will be a great hall of fame type back, based on what I ask? I say the difference between a Tiki Barber, Brian Westbrook, Warrick dunn and Reggie Bush is miniscule (my opinion). Bush has all the talent in the world as far as atheletic ability but lets please hold our enthusiasim until he gets a year in the NFL under his belt.

True, but my statement of Mike Bell being a top ten RB was just on the fact alone that he is the starting RB in Denver. And unless he gets hurt, he'll end up among the top. Denver had the opportunity to trade Lelie straight up to Atlanta for Duckett, but they chose to receive a 3rd round pick instead, obviously Shanny is very happy going into the season with Mike as his starter.
