I just offered a guy Droughns and Plummer. He only has Chris Brown, Portis and Lee Suggs at RB.

Wow, I guess the vultures are really circling around us Manning owners.Seriously dude, Jake the Plumber and Droughns? If he takes that, I hope you get yourself a good lawyer because last I checked, rape is illegal in every state.

I was offered Brady, A. Johnson & Edge for Manning & KJ. I told him I need Palmer & Deuce in a deal to even discuss a trade.

That's a reasonable fair deal -- Edge > KJ, Andre Johnson has big potential. Not bad IMO.

In a TD only, I just offered:McNabb, Taylor, Bruce for Manning, Tiki, Lelie... TDs being the only stat that counts, Im giving 10 compared to his 5.Think he'll accept, or should I improve the offer?

Brady and Edge are more valuable than Palmer and Deuce.

Dude was trying to do you a favor. In a few weeks he'll be thanking God that you blew him off.

AJ doesn't have big potential until Carr is gone. I have traded AJ away in the leagues I owned him.Yes, Edge > KJ, but I'm not high on Brady. I'll stay w/Manning before going w/Brady. I ike Palmer.

Palmer >>> Brady for FF in my book. I need WR help anyway not RB. The right deal will come along. I didn't ask for a critique.

Why would you say that? We're now nearly 1/4 of the way through the FF regular season. Teams are copying NE's blueprint for stopping Manning - rushing 3 and dropping 8. The Colts' D is much better than anticipated and so there's no need for them to put up gaudy numbers like last year.Is it likely that Manning numbers will improve? Sure. But I highly doubt they'll reach last years' numbers given the above. Plummer will give respectable numbers at QB this year. And as I said, he has no depth at RB in a start 2 RB league. If Droughns keeps the starter's job, he's good insurance against a Chris Brown injury. The team I'm making the offer to is already 1-2 and he cannot afford to stay weak at RB if he's going to compete.

I should also note that in this league passing TDs are only worth 3 points.

I would have taken that deal. Andre Johnson is a good WR and James is a big upgrade over Jones.

On Monday, was offered Pennington (before the bad news, but after the Sunday game), Marshall Faulk, Reggie Williams, and Marcus Robinson. :yucky:

I offered Bulger and Heap for McMichael and Manning..........I honestly don't know if I'm coming out better in the deal or not....

I offered Bulger and E. James for his P. Manning and L. Jordan after week 1 and after week 2. Not going to offer it again.

Hmm, I'm declaring a 1st round QB curse. Any time a QB becomes a consensus high 1st round worthy pick his success ends within months. See Warner, Kurt.

I was about to trade Peyton and Lelie for Brees and Chad Johnson, but just changed my mind. I'm in a 2 QB league, and that would have left me with Favre (who could go for 300/3 TD or implode in any given week), Griese, and Brees. I desperately need WR help, as right now I'm starting Andre Johnson (don't even get me started...), Michael Clayton, and Muhsin, and Chad would be a God-send, but I can't run the risk of giving up on Peyton just yet. We'll see.

Peyton, along with Eli, Benson, and Michael Clayton, were dealt for Holt, Bledsoe, Brady and Dunn in my main league.

Lots of variety in trade offers here.Pending trade in our league:R.Moss for ManningLooks pretty even to me, but the current Manning owner also has Palmer. If I were him, I'd be pretty happy with that trade. I'm considering trying to block it :boxing:

I think most Peyton owners will rather sink with the ship.

I would have taken that deal.  Andre Johnson is a good WR and James is a big upgrade over Jones.
He's very good, but as long as Carr is there he's not elite.
 try again:

Until the O-line is improved, neither Carr or AJ will approach their potential.

Seriously, Carr isn't the problem. Peyton himself couldn't perform behind that line.

Expect the O-Line to improve oh, say 2008?

Maybe. FWIW, I only own AJ in one league, Carr in none because they go way too high in drafts. Carr may need to leave Houston to have a career. Might never happen, so it's a shame really.

I have Manning and McNabb and was offered:For:McNabb (or Manning)Curtis MartinJJ Arrington:I get:Ahman GreenAaron BrooksJoey GallowayI refused with politeness.I've decided to keep both QB's and play the matchups. What is lost in my RB/WR corps will be made up for hopefully in my QB's. Then I'll make a trade before the deadline to make a late season run.

I don't own anyone from the Texans but they are team I root for (grew up in Houston) that said, as long as they have their coaching staff in place, I wouldn't expect much from them. Their O-line isn't close to becoming good enough to protect Carr.QBs are a fickle thing.

I offered Eli, Keyshawn, Barlow, and any two of Portis, Taylor, Dunn or Anderson for Manning and Holt...Havent heard back yet though. My QBs are McNair and Eli :X

That's disgraceful. Trying to block a trade because even though it's an even deal it makes one team a lot stronger. I hope you were kidding.I'm trying to get Manning in two of my leagues. One guy wants players like Manning has 15 TDs through five games, the other I think we're fairly close....he offered Manning straight up for Tiki which would leave me a little thin at RB so I countered with Green and Tiki for Manning and Brown which he flinched at.

Think I pushed my luck.

Unless you're getting a smoking deal, I'd have a hard time dealing Manning (unless you're really deep at QB). 1. Has Indy changed it's offense that much in the offseason to imply that Manning won't go off this year? No.2. Has he lost any of his primary receivers from last year? No, other than Pollard. But Clark is more than capable. He had a similar start in 2003 for the first 3 games. He's thrown for 2 touchdowns this year through 3 games. In '03, he threw 3 TD's and 3 INT's threw the first 3 games. Then, in Week 4, he blew up with 6 TD's. Lastly, look at the Colts schedule for the next 4 weeks: Tennessee, San Francisco, St. Louis and Houston. Guys....Manning is going to light it up over the next 4 weeks.Bottom line is the Colts are still an offensive juggernaut, it's just the first time they also have a solid defense. Only a matter of time before the guy gets back onto shelling teams every week, and Tennessee will be the first victim.

Not that I disagree with your post - but this is the exact same thing that was said last week about Cleveland...

Dynasty league (I have Bulger backing up, with Holmes, and Westbrook as my other good RBs)Trade:ManningMcCardell TaylorToefieldNext year's 1st round rookie pick (gonna be a late one, I've lost in the SB both years)For:Kevin JonesTrent GreenAnquan BoldinLamar GordonAlso, it's 4 pts. per passing TD and 6 for rushing. Standard performance otherwise. If I didn't have Bulger, I would not have done trade.

This offer has been posted in one of my leagues: (6 pt passing TD's, no deductions for INT's, 1 point/25 yards passing)P. Manning and A. Crumpler for B. Favre and T. Gonzo. The Manning owner has not replied yet.Edit: also of note, the Manning owner has Palmer in his starting lineup for week 4 over Manning.

My league has been too chicken to offer anything for Payton. They know I'd just laugh at them. Then again, our league is dynasty.

That makes a big difference. I'd never make the same offer that I did in a dynasty league.

Did not know it was "disgraceful" to try to win my fantasy league by not wanting one owner's team to get too stacked. Thanks for putting me in my place

Well, imo it is disgraceful if you block a trade for that sole reason alone when you believe the trade itself to be fair. For example, if one team loses a starting RB for the year, and another team loses a starting WR, would you veto a RB for WR trade between these 2 teams to keep them "weak"...even if it is a fair offer?

If that is the case, why have trades at all?
