What I learned from urban talk radio yesterday (1 Viewer)

I started listening to Sirius urban talk radio recently and frankly I'm stunned how I'll informed I am on major issues.  Yesterday I learned Trump is an total idiot for mentioning pulling out of NATO the day before the subsequent terrorist attack in Belgium (no credit given for Trumps call 20 days ago that Brussels was a muslim cr**hole, deemed a lucky guess I suppose).  All the urban call-ins agreed, confirming NATO is an anti terrorist organization and Trump is an idiot.   I thought NATO was formed to stop the Soviet era threats, and Trump was just engaging in a standard negotiation ploy to get Europe to pay their fair share of defense, rather than the US picking up nearly 90% of the costs.  I had no idea NATO goes on high alert when a terrorist pops off a bomb, now I know.  Thanks urban radio!  I look forward to learning more today, I'll keep FBGs informed on my findings.

I was stationed in Germany and going on "alert" was really just an inconvenience. It's not like NATO troops are out patrolling the streets, ready to bang bang at the drop of a hat.  NO, we'd all have to grab our gear, fire up our vehicles and sit around till someone took the calls that said every other unit was in their  vehicles sitting around with their gear.

3/23 I learned you have to haul your kids down to the clinic periodically to get them tested for HIV because kids are going to have stupid risky sex all the time and there is nothing parents can do about that.  This is the type of stuff I just don't hear on conservative radio.  Unfortunately that was the highlight for me for the day, I got bored with what the nonstop  "black lives matters/all lives matters" back and forth nonsense so I guess instinctively returned to conservative radio for the rest of the day.

There used to be local urban talk radio but I believe it got canned.  I heard the libs   are trying to resurrect it, for the presidential elections I suppose.  I'm mostly listening to Sirius channel 126, at least nationally they can get a few decent liberal call-ins and screen out all pesky conservatives.  In the past, on the local stations there aren't enough libs to call in so the conservatives constantly call in to challenge the host and ruin the whole liberal narrative.
