what if? (1 Viewer)

I dont think that the Patriots would be the hands down favorites that they are now, for one thing.... In fact, I would say it would have impacted the Pats much more than the Packers although I can't help but think that the Packer running game would have benefitted by the extra attention paid to Moss...

Let's see how good Moss is when the temps get below 20. For that matter, let's see how good the NE vertical game is when the weather turns. Will they be able to run the ball?

Just like in NE.

 The patriots have been taking there new toys out for a spin... There is a huge difference between not running the ball and not being able to run the ball... The Patriots are the former not the latter...

The bigger "what if" seems to be what if Green Bay had been able to get an impact RB during the offseason. Letting Ahman go was the right call, but if Lynch had fallen to Green Bay or had they swung a deal for Michael Turner or Larry Johnson (who were rumored to be available), that could've put this team at the elite level. Moss plays when he wants to and there's no telling how that would've gone. Plus, they wouldn't have had James Jones and I think DD, Jennings and Jones are a solid corp.

It would have made the Patriots-Packer game a lot more even. Assuming of course the Packers get to the Super Bowl.

Moss would have been good for a year or two in GB. Moss would have hurt Jennings and Jones developmemt and the future of the Packers passing game.No back would be gaining yards with the way the O-Line has been playing. Line play would make the running game better.

If they had Moss I doubt they would have Jones.

The better question is, what if the Packers would have had LJ (and of course he doesn't get hurt by AJ Hawk).

That team with a stud RB would be a very scary team to face in the playoffs. Pats/Colts/Steelers would kill the Packers, its not even close.
