Was just doing some research myself and I think this is the mattress for me. Which setup did you get and did you buy the frame or did you have one? I was like looking at the 14" mattress and the 8" foundation. Not sure if I should buy their frame or buy a different one in town.Been sleeping on the Saatva for about a week now. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the materials used in the mattress. We got the luxury firm version and while it's firm, it's extremely comfortable to sleep on. I'm a back sleep with occasional stints on my side. I actually look forward to hitting the sheets these days. I will continue to update as I get more experience but for the <$1,500 we paid (vs the $2k+ we paid 15 years ago at a mattress store) I'm extremely pleased.
We have the 14" luxury firm and we used our old box springs (they're 8" I think). My wife used to complain almost daily about her back hurting when she woke up and I haven't heard a peep since we got the Saatva. The luxury firm model is soft but it's not the kind of mattress you sink into. Plenty of support on all sides. We've been using ours for over a month and I'm really happy with it.Was just doing some research myself and I think this is the mattress for me. Anything to note? I went to look at some today and one was nice but the sale ends soon and I can't buy right away. No complaints. It's been great.Anything to note? I went to look at some today and one was nice but the sale ends soon and I can't buy right away. Just checking to see how it's still going.
Nothing. Thanks Tick. What do they say about box springs? I want cheap.
Same here on the thanks Tick.Rodrigo Duterte said:Thanks Tick. What do they say about box springs? I want cheap.
My trash service takes them for $10How do you guys get rid of the old mattress other than the dump? Any of these companies pick up?
Any issues yet? Some comparable ones are on sale and seem to be "equal" when it comes to other variables. Just curious if going the Internet route is better than something comparable for a little less. Good point. There has been a #### ton of ads on the internet and tv for new luxury brand mattresses (and the older premium stuff as well) though.I'm confused by this thread. There was the first wave where everyone bought Sleep Innovations mattresses for $500 and loved them (except for one big guy). Now everyone's looking at $1500 mattresses with the same reviews... why?

Report?Having a 12" Sleep Innovations Shiloh delivered today. Hope it lives up to the good reviews on here.
1 year in, still love this bed. I'd buy it again in a minute and will never own a mattress with springs again.Just an update, the Dreamfoam memory foam bed is really comfortable. Soft but still very supportive, really high quality build. Absolute steal at $710 for a king.
Anthony Kiedis.I need a very firm California King. What do you recommend?
Spoken like someone else who can't get a good night sleep...I'd consider blowing someone if they actually knew I a good pillow. Been through 20 pillows the last couple years, no winners.I know there has been some love for Casper mattresses... but what about their pillows? Anyone have any experience?
This is how bad it is............my wife told me last night she ordered some "My Pillows" from the infomercials. If the 4 star rated pillows suck, I can wait to see what a 1.5 star pillow has.Spoken like someone else who can't get a good night sleep...
I may just give the Casper a try. Not encouraged by the fact that they don't come in different firmnesses... but they do have a 100 day free return policy, so if it sucks I can just return it.This is how bad it is............my wife told me last night she ordered some "My Pillows" from the infomercials. I like the return policy much better than buying from this:I may just give the Casper a try. Not encouraged by the fact that they don't come in different firmnesses... but they do have a 100 day free return policy, so if it sucks I can just return it.
I sleep really well on it and haven't had any back or hip pain. No idea of it sleeps hot or not, but it doesn't seem too really. It did take a little getting used to the idea that it really is quite firm. There's not really any fluffiness to it at all. After first laying on it, I didn't think I would be able to sleep on it, but I fell asleep and stayed asleep just fine. No complaints after a few months.Report?
Got the Bed in a Box mattress some time ago, probably due to this thread. Liked it at first, not so much now. Wife isn't sleeping well at all. Leaning towards the Saatva that's been mentioned in here but slightly hesitant. Not everyone likes foam mattresses
Anyone know what the quality of the pillows are like? The complaints seem to be related to the ongoing BOGO promotion.I like the return policy much better than buying from this:

I splurged on a new bed last year. As part of the major purchase I bought pillows. My wife and I both bought pillows by bedgear:I'd consider blowing someone if they actually knew I a good pillow. Been through 20 pillows the last couple years, no winners.
We have had a Restonic natural latex foam mattress for about 5-6 years and still love it.Went shopping with the intent to buy memory foam. Tried a lot of brands, but didn't like the "laying in wet sand" effect.I went through the difficult experience of purchasing a mattress last year. I was too worried about the online mattress sellers. I get that they all have excellent trail periods and return policies, but my wife and I just weren't up for dealing with delivery, set up, and potentially shipping back, then starting the process all over again. If you do have the patients and energy for that, I absolutely think you can get a mattress for a MUCH better price than I did, but I wanted to find a place that I could at least lay down on the bed before I made the purchase.
I ended up purchasing a Posh & Lavish Reveal. It is 11" thick. It is 100% latex. It has a 6" base then some configuration of layers on top. It is described as 'medium plush'.
I tried Tempur-Pedic. I tried Serta I-series. I tried Restonic. I tried Sealy. I liked them all pretty well, but the all latex mattress, I just liked it a little better. I liked how you don't 'sink in' to the latex mattresses. And I liked the feel of the latex better compared to the spring or hybrid mattresses. I also believed that they were 'cooler' but one of the sales people said memory foam has come so far that latex doesn't necessarily have a big edge compared to foam in that arena anymore.
My wife liked how latex was considered the most 'natural' mattress. She was a little hesitant to go the foam route because she heard from others that sometimes you need to 'air them out' before you sleep on them.
We both liked that the latex mattress had a really long warranty. It has a 20 year warranty. Apparently latex is very resilient and lasts really long.
In the end, we both like the mattress, but it wasn't any sort of major game changer. I am happy with it, but it was really expensive. I don't necessarily think it was worth the price... however, both my wife and I agree that if this thing actually does last 20 years it will be worth the cost. That is a long time.
We also got the bedgear pillows a mattress protector, and bamboo cotton sheets by Malouf. My wife says that she absolutely loves the sheets, and loves the pillow. Those are her 2 favorite things about the purchase.
I did go to the website mattress underground that was mentioned in this thread. It was definitely helpful, but it is a bit too much info for me. if you have the time to sort through all of it, I believe you could get a top quality latex mattress just like I got for a lot lower price. You just won't be able to try it first. I think Brooklyn Bedding and Dreamfoam bedding were both highly recommended by mattress underground, and both had all latex options. If it were just me buying a mattress for myself, i'd probably give them a try before I spent so much... but since my wife was involved too I knew she didn't want to have to deal with all the things that go along with the 'do-it-yourself' options. Since we bought from a retailer we got delivery, set up, and removal of the old mattress as well as having the ability to try it first.
One online latex options we came really really really close to trying was zenhaven by saatva. It was all latex, nearly half the price, they did offer a delivery, set up, removal option. The only thing holding us back was... you can't try it. That particular online mattress was very intriguing. If you are considering latex I would definitely check it out:

I went to a furniture dealer that sold Restonic because I heard they made all latex mattresses. The saleswoman was a major influence that convinced me to purchase latex. I asked this lady if they had any Restonic latex mattresses. She started going on and on about how the store used to sell Restonic 100% latex mattresses, but they were expensive, and people were hesitant to buy them (something about being afraid of a latex allergy), and they didn't sell well... so her store stopped selling them.Phil Elliott said:We have had a Restonic natural latex foam mattress for about 5-6 years and still love it.Went shopping with the intent to buy memory foam. Ours was definitely expensive ($2,000+). There were only two stores in town that carried them. Ours had three layers of latex with increasing firmness from top to bottom for a total of about 12". Fricken heavy also! But its a great sleep and we figured we will have it for 10 + years so high costs wasn't as much of a concern.I went to a furniture dealer that sold Restonic because I heard they made all latex mattresses. Then she told me that she has a latex mattress. She bought one. Loved it. Gave it to her son, and bought another latex mattress, and still loves it. She said she bought a 100% latex mattress from the Restonic factory using her furniture store discount. She explained that, the store currently only had 1 mattress with latex in it. I asked her for the details on the layers. Basically it was multiple layers of foam with a 1" layer of latex on the top. I was really close to purchasing it because of the price, but when I tried it out, I just didn't like it as much.
I actually emailed her to ask if she could still order full Latex mattresses from Restonic, but I never heard back from her. I think she really wanted to convince her store to carry latex again, but they weren't having it. I told her about the store where I found full latex mattresses, and she even said she was going to go there to check them out. I was thinking... with how much she loves her latex mattress, she should go see if they are hiring.
I agree about the "laying in wet sand" feeling. I didn't necessarily care for that either.
Ours is a total of 11" thick. I don't know how many layers, but I do know the base layer was 6". I figured it probably has 2 more layers of 3" and 2". The place we went had 4 firmness options: firm, medium, medium plush, and plush. We chose medium plush.Phil Elliott said:Ours was definitely expensive ($2,000+). ETA: They had about 4 or 5 different firmness. We initially chose the middle one but then selected a slightly more firm one as they all will soften up a little bit. The first two weeks we had sore backs when we woke up.
Interested in more info on these. Much difference between c series and p series? I know I'm getting a split king with flexbase #2, but have no idea about the other features. Any of them must haves?Second month of sleep number. It's awesome.
Just ordered 2 of these pillows for 1 day delivery. I can't wait to go to bed Thursday night!Pillow talk
I ordered one and liked it quite a bit. Let wife try it and never got it back so I had to order another. Much better than any pillow I've used in the past. Totally adjustable, you can add in or take out foam as desired. Wife took it out of their case and put it in a normal pillow case which gives her a softer feel. Mine I left as it came, firm and supportive but just enough give.
I'm 6'5", 280 and a side sleeper. After bumping around a couple of the mattress sites, I came to the same conclusion that latex was the way to go. I narrowed my search down to Ghost Bed, Helix and the Dreamfoam Eurotop Latex. I ended up buying the Ghost Bed in November. (I had to pick something and they were also including 3 pillows.) I haven't slept this well in years. I love it. I initially put it on the box springs from my old bed, but realized that I still felt like I was sleeping in a divot. I bought a platform frame from Amazon and it's been awesome.I've scanned the last few pages but was wondering if anyone who's been following along could give me a summary.
Me: Big guy (6-1, 250), side sleeper mainly.
Based on the last page, latex memory foam sounds best. I ain't scurred to order online either. I just need to narrow my research scope. Cliff notes would be nice.
It's not like his handle is "Bedbug".Same here on the thanks Tick.
Although, I'm not sure how I feel about taking bedding advice from a Tick. Seems like a trap.
How is this pillow holding up? Buddy of mine hyped the bedgear pillow and I'm intrigued.I splurged on a new bed last year. As part of the major purchase I bought pillows. My wife and I both bought pillows by bedgear:

I would recommend them. I bought the Dawn 1.0 performance pillow. I think my wife bought the mist 0.0 performance pillow. If you go to their website they have a 'Find my pillow ID' link that will ask you a few questions and recommend pillows to you. They are expensive, but if you have been through 20, you probably could have bought one at this point. They are really nice.
