what is up with the quote function? (1 Viewer)

I have noticed that when I try to reply sometimes I get a random quote attached to my response?  TIA

It's a feature the mods can turn on for specific posters

You started quoting earlier and backed out or something. It sucks. 

You click the quote box and then hit the little X in upper left corner to delete.

I've tried that, and it doesn't work on android...or at least my android. I've tried at least a few hundred times and I got so excited when it actually worked one...single...time. Never happened again.

 It works on the iphone but can be a #####. The key is to tap and then backspace on the phone.

Click in the blank space next to "Ignoramus said:" then click backspace.  It works.

You can't edit a quote once you have posted it? Losing the preview and the ability to edit kinda sux.
