What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

Reef Donkey and more Jai Alai tonight. Jai Alai is pretty damn good.
Canning date? I had a 2/01/17 earlier that was really damn good. Within 2 weeks it's always pretty solid.

Just finished a crowler of Civil Society Pulp, and am about to crack a can of their Flan, an 8% ABV DIPA collab with LIC beer project...hopped with Comet, Citra, Columbus and Mosaic Lupulin Powder.

Heineken Light is brewed with cascade hops...

:lmao:

this is like when miller lite trotted out that it was triple-hop brewed.

The new Red Wings/Pistons arena will have this indoor/outdoor biergarten sponsored by Budweiser. There is going to a GIGANTIC installation of like 10 foot tall letters that say "Drink Macro". Sounds awesome.

Plus all the Goose Island you can drink!

Commute to and from the East Coast or work?
Work schedule this month, no time to drink other than my nights off. Just picked up a six pack of fresh Jai Alai for tonignt. I haven't had a beer since SB Sunday.

More Hopstache. Got some of the 17 Sunday Morning Stout, probably try one later. Also fresh  squeezed some grapefruits, made honey simple syrup and have rye so

brown derbys are in my future as well.

Back on the Kale wagon again now that I'm home.  :kicksrock:
On weekends too? Man, that sucks.

Binnys Mokena had some kind of event so tried Hailstorm's latest in their series of imperial milk stouts. This one was Porn Stache which is chocolate raspberry. Definitely heavy on the raspberry. I should have bought one but had to get a mortgage for the BA Darkness I scored. They were also out of Cirrus but had the new Stratus so grabbed that.

Not sure what's on the docket tonight. Some kind of hops with a side of barrel aged goodness I suppose. No leafy green veggies. That starts next week when I move forward with Commitment to Excellence 2: Electric Jiggle-loo.

Change of plans. Local bar had Bells BA 30th Anniversey (didn't even know that existed) and Bells 335 E Stout aged in BB with vanilla bean. Wow to both. Especially that BA 30th.

A couple of Jai Alai, now enjoying a bottle of Upland Peach Lambic, 2015 vintage...wow. Tons of fresh peaches and oak, and insanely puckering. So good.  Anyone close to Bloomingdale, IN needs to seek them out if you like sours. Reminds me of Almanac.

How did this hold up? Big Stone fan here.

Found a sixer of Stone Ripper in a Redding Safeway over New Years. Never seen it. It's an excellent pale ale. 5.7%, touch of citrus, flavorful. I can't do IPAs anymore. This is perfect for my current taste.

Happy to stumble upon it yesterday down here in the Bay Area.

Old Nation Brewing in Michigan has made a really fine NE IPA: M-43. Michigan is finally starting to get a clue on these hazy juicy beers.

Speaking of haze, went up to Ram in Schaumburg yesterday. The NE Slapper is delicious. Got a growler to go too. Wish I got 2!

That wasn't Gummy Vortex, that was Funny Gummy and it was firkin and it was ####### phenomenal.
Tomatoes, tomahtoes. Jk.

Heard that it was excellent too. Any word on if these will see distribution down the road?

Oh, the new Stratus release is very delicious too.

They might but I wouldn't bet on it, those have been smaller batches brewery only. Oh and Gummy Vortex uses Simcoe and Citra, I like it better than Funny Gummy....but that firkin, damn was it good. I went for a food truck and had 3 glasses but had to drive home so that was it. Wish I could have had more.

Went to a local place and ordered a bottle of North Peak Stormy Oat IPA on a whim...holy crap, what a great beer. I'd never heard of the beer or brewery (from Traverse City, MI), but found out a few local places carry it. Going to pick up a 6 pack tomorrow

Another Peak Brewing Stormy Oat IPA. Great change of pace from the local stuff, and the bottles are pretty cool.
