What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Unfortunately no -- crazy week and weekend for me with volleyball tournaments for the girls and now sitting at Midway getting ready to head to Vegas for work. Per his FB page still had 4 cases yesterday though.
But CDL...ZOMGvanilla! That takes precedence over some "work trip."

Now that I got my smartass level reset, think I am going to pick up some Odell for a Sunday Funday.

New Holland Incorrigible Reserve, unexpectedly awesome. Picked it up at Costco for 5 bucks for a bomber. White sour with berries. Wish I had another bottle.

Vegas pretty much blows for beer unfortunately.  So close to SoCal and all I can find anywhere is stuff that's easy to get in Chicago -- Firestone Walker, Ballast Point, Green Flash, etc. All good of course, but I want to try new stuff. Every year I hope it'll have gotten better, and every year no dice.

Not sure where you're staying but Id head to the Yardhouse, they have a ton of draft beer from all over. I had a bunch there including some Pizza Port. I was staying in the New York New York and the Center Bar (think that was it) had some good beer on draft that I don't get out here.

In Mandalay Bay -- I'll try to hit up Yard House, few people mentioned it on BA too. Thanks!

Walk up to the NY NY and hit up the Center bar too, they had some Pizza Port that Yard House didn't. There is also Sin City Brewing on the strip if you want to try it. It was just ok, nothing special. It's on the strip on the east side of the street.

Thanks! I definitely wouldn't mind trying some Pizza Port beers.

Also drives me nuts that absolutely none of these places are on BeerMenus, which has been my go to while traveling for a while.

Also, pass on Makatea from Hailstorm. All kinds of meh. Banaba is much better.

Makatea may make for better pool beer in the summer and will try it again then.

I'll be in Vegas next week, I've got some recommendations from guys on BA for where to go for beer...I got the most recs for Hopnuts and Tenaya Creek for breweries, Wardog by Big Dogs in 4 pack cans for quote "the best local hoppy beer" (at Total Wine and/or Khourys), Yard house for non brewery draft selection. I also hear Crafthause cans and distributes a sour and a Gose, I'll definitely look for those.

Tampa Bay Beer week going on all this week here but I have to skip all the bottle releases and fests and tap takeovers because of this Vegas trip. Guess I'll crack a Treehouse Green and sulk :D

Todd the Axeman is a shell of its former elite self. Still a tasty beer but nothing I'd buy again for $16/4 pack.

I'm at civil society in jupiter. Know there are a bunch of Florida beer drinkers in here. Trying the fresh ipa....

Edited to add.....we drank the whole board. Great place very interesting beers. Took home a crowler of fresh ipa and morning fix.

Yep. Hoppy wheat beer...tried that one too. Really liked everything that I tried. Snacktime was the only one that didn't really do it for me but still was good. Gary goes bananas was just that! Very nice place.

That hoppy wheat is the best NE style IPA in FL. Lol. I wish they had all of their regular beers on, but with the Cardinals spring training in town they're out of a lot of stuff. They usually have 8 or 9 good hoppy beers on.

You going to Huna this Saturday? If so, I'll be pouring for Crooked Thumb in booth B01. Stop by and say hey!

My BIL will be down for that, I'll send him your way.

Back home, checked BeerMenus, and lo and behold my guy got in a new shipment of fresh Bare Hands. Grabbed bombers of Citronic APA, Bee Hop DIPA, and the elusive Honey Badger DIPA that I've heard is spectacular. Price was great (for bombers anyway) as well @ $8 for the DIPAs and $5 for the APA. Big fan of Bare Hands, and super happy that their beer is finally in my area regularly.

Just finished a growler of Hop Prism Purple IPA from Noon Whistle. I want more but shouldn't drive to go get more. Excellent IPA.

Delicious. It is like daisy cutter on roids. Think Navaja is a bit better but both are fantastic.

Did you see they are making Navaja a 6 month seasonal (for lack of a better term) and are canning Deep Space?
Yep, I did. Have you had DDC before? I was wondering how it compared to the bombers they did semi-regularly.

It is. I also find myself trying regular daisy every once in awhile and forgetting how good it is.
Have you had any Noon Whistle? If not this is a good weekend to swing by. They have their first Hop Prism and their 3rd NE IPA on draft...plus a black IPA and a bunch of other styles.

Had my 1st can Treehouse Julius tonight. Um wow. Need more to see if it tops Bissel Brothers Substance out of my favorite beer

Honey Badger is outstanding, basically a Hopslam clone. Citronic might be better, another great Citra-bomb APA, although to be fair that might be the 9.5% bomber of Honey Badger talking too LOL.

Anderson Valley's The Kimmie, The Yink & The Holy Gose.

I've been on a little run of sours lately.  Dogfish Head's SeaQuench Ale is also pretty good.

Civil Society/Slim Pickens collab, Schmedium, a pineapple strawberry IPA. Wow. Its like a fruity beer cocktail. So fruity. So good.

Crowler of Civil Society Pulp. On point. Best NE style IPA in FL, even tho it's a wheat beer.

Treehouse Julius, canned 2/9. Call me spoiled, but this batch seems off. Not as creamy or dreamy as it usually is, and the color is off. Maybe it got cooked in transit, I don't know...but the Green, Alter Ego, and Doppelganger that came in the same box are all amazing.

Now drinking a Surly XTRA Citra. It's OK at best.

I had a few of their canned beers. Cosmo and something else. Also had something at a beer fest from them a year ago that was outstanding. Haven't had any of their new stuff.

I might head into the office today. I was thinking of swinging by somewhere and Noon Whistle may be that somewhere now.

Haven't gone in years, and not planning to this year. Bottle shares are spectacular there, but DL itself is meh IMO, particularly given $180 / ticket.
The taps are too, depending on what hits when you are there. I have my daughter's birthday on the 12th and mother's day on the 14th. Yet my wife seems to think it's ok if i go. If that's not a sign I don't know what is. Been to the last 2 so need to keep the vertical going.
