What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

We have Rogue essentially everywhere here.  Best I've ever seen the ceramic I2PA and RIS is $11.  Usually they are $13 here too.  They are very good, but tres expensive - there are better ones for less bucks (Stone for example)

Definitely go with the Mocha Porter and Shakespeare Stout if you haven't had them before - the 2 top ones they make imo.  Dead Guy is great too, as is the Hazelnut and Chocolate Stout.  Chipotle is a little off the beaten path, but I've always enjoyed the pepper beers.

I have the Smoke Ale but haven't tried it yet.  Picked up their malt liquor (put out for Father's Day) but haven't had that either.  People just keep sending me too much good beer  :banned:
Thanks for the tips.I have never had a Stone beer - they don't import into Florida and I haven't been on a trip out of state (except to Cancun and Grand Cayman) since I first learned of the brewery.
You should jump in BIF II. I would think that whoever sent to you could make sure to hook you up with some Stone.
If EG goes, I'll go. I can hook my Steeler buddy up with some Stone.
:suds:

Just be happy that you can get Stone.
:goodposting:
You mean I can get something you guys can't? Maybe we can talk beer trade. :)
i'm listening.
I'll check this weekend again but I'm pretty sure I can get bombers of the Stone brews I listed earlier with no problem (Arrogant *******, IPA, Ruination) and the Rogue bombers I listed earlier. What I want? I have no idea. I like wheats, porters, stouts, saisons. Just don't like anything real hoppy.

Hey can you get the Bell's Wheat Project beers?
I am good on Stone for now. I picked up 4 cases in Indiana about a month ago.

What is the deal with Stones RIS? The places around here seem to be getting plenty of the Arrogant *******, IPA, and Ruination IPA but they never seem to receive any RIS and they have homes for it so I assume that they're ordering it.
Stone RIS is a spring/early summer seasonal. It comes out at the end of April and is only produced for a limited amount of time. You probably won't see it again until next year. Most of the stores around here are running dry too.

A week might be pushing it. I still have a couple more beers to get that I want in there.

I was j/k. As you can tell the impatient schtick is making a move to BIF II. ;)

"This must have just hit the shores. I picked up a bottle today in Orlando. If you can’t find it soon, send some of us down here a beermail, I’m sure we can take care of you.

Cheers,

JON"

Just a heads up for everyone, I may not be around the beer threads as much for a little while. I have been having problems with my throat for a while. Just went to the ENT specialist after finally getting a referral and I have some sort of growth on my vocal chord. It is most likely not a big deal, but I don't want to really take any chances until I have surgery in two weeks. I will still be around, but the reviews will probably slow down a bit.

But mark my words, I will be back with a vengeance.

Sorry to here that man. Hope everything gets cleared up. On a lighter note, send me the beer you wont be drinking, TIA. ;) Seriously, hope everything turns out well man.

I won't be out of commission that long. Two, maybe three weeks.

Yeah but 2-3 weeks worth of beer for you is not a normal amount by any means. What's that, 4-5 . . . . kegs?

Going with the Lake Louie Arena Special tonight (a pale ale) Made near Madison, WI. Great stuff and the lady-friend likes it also.

I have read a lot of good things about Lake Louie, but haven't had the chance to try any yet.

I average 2-3 beers a night.
:bs:
The thing is those beers may be bombers or 750ml. :banned: Gonna be hard to stay disciplined and not have a beer when it's so damned hot out.
THere had to be a catch. ;)

Tip(sy) Top,

Sorry to hear about the surgery. Hope everything goes well, and we'll pick up the slack. This sucks for me, because it means I will now have to assume a more prominent role here. And pick up the beer slack. Which means I can not go a couple nights without beer any more. I had half an Oberon last night, but had gone since Sunday (Beatification) before that. Sorry, but all beer is now hollow to me after Beatification. I actually didn't really like the Oberon much. Was on draft so maybe there was something about that. No clue. But didn't finish it because it didn't appeal to me.

Anyway, get well and I'll make sure to beat up on Gator and Furley for you. Too bad Bax won't be around much either.....

coldchill,

Not sure if I've said this before, but the site for your homebrew efforts is top notch. I'll look you up if and when my buddy and I get our pub-cafe-whatever open (if ever).

Having the Hop Sun from BOTMC. This supposedly is a "summer wheat beer". But the first smell of this tells you that there are strong hops in here. And that's good. With a name like Hop Sun, I guess I should expect nothing less. First taste tells you that there IS wheat in there after all. THis doesn't suck, bakes. Nice choice.
