What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

Had a couple beers with GM yesterday at the Rogue Ale House.  Later in the evening, I was lucky enough to have a Hair of the Dog Blue Dot IPA on tap.  Portland is defintely a top notch beer town, and they even have a tourism brochure dedicated to their love for craft brew.  In about 4 hours I am going to be drinking a Pliny the Elder at the Oregon Brewers Festival.
Sounds great. I think I would be shipping myself cases upon cases of beer from there since I just wouldn't be able to drink enough of that fine brew while there.
 Oh yeah forgot I'm already here :banned:

Brewfest in T minus 2 hrs 45 mins.

#### you! :hot:
FYI, mine's been here for a little while. Happy tp help.
Mine too. :bye:
Hopefully mine is on the way.
I'm so glad you guys are getting this. Outstanding. You'll love it. Mor ethan anything you've ever had. Anywhere. Love it. Awesome. Amazing. Will change your outlook on life. A true Trappist experience. Anyone who doesn't have it will go through the rest of their life yearning for whatever it is that keeps their life so empty :Furley:. But not us.......
:sadbanana: that wasn't very nice
you know, furley. maybe instead of vegetating in the sweaty armpit of north america for months or even years straight, you can venture out to europe for a nice little vacation and make getting some pristine beers part (or all) of your european experience.

Bluegrass Brewing Company in Louisville has some decent beers. There is a taphouse at their bottling facility, downtown, near the baseball stadium.

I've had a couple of beers from BBC. Pretty good...solid. Not sure how many of their beers they bottle, but so far all I've seen in the area is the APA and the porter.

:bag: BUT, I had a very light lunch, came home, mowed the lawn and quenched my thirst with a DFH 90...before dinner. I'm now feeling much less buzzed and following up the 90 with a DFH 60. I think I like the 60 better.

Altbier, Hell for Certain (belgian dark), and Jefferson Bourbon Barrel Stout, I can verify in bottles. Apparently there's a golden ale and a brown ale in bottles also.

That jefferson Stout was really good.

Victory Ten Years Alt. Not bad so far...sort of like a poor mans Uerige Doppelsticke
That beer sort of grew on me. Didn't really expect to like it as Alts are usually ho hum for me, but now that it is almost gone I know I might miss it.

I still can't believe you haven't drank the Pure Hoppiness, especially with the reviews its receiving. Waiting for your birthday or something?Somebody from Mass snuck in before you too. Knocked our trifecta out of place.

I didn't have room for any bombers in the fridge.

bakes and Skylord, could you get you BIF II info in please?
Done. Had to put my wife and her very attractive sister (no pics) on a plane for Seattle today - they and my inlaws are going on a cruise to Alaska so I have the kids solo for 10 days.Modus operandii: Get their asses into bed by 9:30, commence drinking.

Current brew: Southern Tier Hop Sun. It's hot and humid - duh!!!

Next Sunday: Middle Ages 11th Anniversary Party. Won't see me near this computer all freaking day. Live music and cask conditioned beer, four blocks away from the Dinosaur BBQ. Can't beat it with a stick.

Sounds like a blast. I will be driving down to Chicago that day. Hoping to make it to the Map Room or Hopleaf (or both).

Hell yeah. Three of my golf league buds are riding along. They can get plastered for all I care - I'll have three or four over the six hour span, fill up on ribs at the Dino, then be easily below the DWAI limit before heading home.

Hop Devil, Ayinger lager (one of them), Geary's Hampshire.
Ever had that before? Some people love it, others dislike it a LOT. I'm a fan, but then I only drink it in the winter (used to be their seasonal).

Never had anything from Geary's. It's pretty good. Nice and malty. A bit of an alcohol kick. I guess it smells good...nose is broke tonight. Saving the rest for later.

Put in an order for a couple 1.5 lt. bottles of Fred. At 15.99, they seemed like a bargain. Something good to have if we ever get a FBG Beer Snob cornhole organized.

Next up: Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot
Waiting for review....
3.9Not bad.
Same brew as the Insanity, minus the bourbon barrel aging. The barrel does wonders for that brew. BTW, if you ever get a chance to talk to Dan Weirback (owner/brewer), do so. One of the best dudes in the entire microbrew movement, and that's saying a LOT.

Nice, I have a bottle of Insanity in the basement. Too many down there that I haven't tried. :banned:

Yes it does. The Insanity is superb. They are very much different, the Insanity has a lot of bourbon flavors. Friggin delicious (gave it a 4.35)
