Belgian Strong Dark Ales might be as good as it gets.abt 12 isnt a pale...I like DARK Belgians, just not pales (Duvel, etc)So you don't like St B Abt 12, etc.?really a Quad, but lumped in all the time.Not a fan of Belgian Strong PalesReally????The La Fin Du Monde, Maudite, are also excellent.Im a fan of the Belgian RedJust finished a New Glarus Wisconsin Belgian Red, courtesy of Furley.Very cherry.

Went to the Indy brewfest today. Much like you, I don't remember all of the beers I had (although I drank mostly water after the first couple of hours). Highlights included:Brugge Brasserie: A barrel-aged quadruple with pickled plums and Brettanomyces (at 14% abv). The code word to get this was "clam chowder" - they weren't advertising that they had it. (Brugge is a small Belgian brewpub in Indy; no distribution at all that I know of.)
Three Floyds: Gumballhead
Bell's: Oberon
Founders: Kentucky Breakfast, Old Curmudgeon. They had Devil Dancer, but I missed it.
Breckenridge: 471 IPA
Stone: Arrogant *******
Several breweries did a shared recipe: A saison brewed with hickory syrup. Tried a couple - quit tasty.

How much do you think I can bench press? 350 lbs!This is true. But we already know he benches 400+, makes $100k a year and has a "cabin".But the important question is whether he lifts or not.

drank a Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout
i'm really not sure that beer can taste better.
now drinking a Milk Stout from the now defunct, and de-listed, Denmark Brewing Co. not bad at all. i THINK the local place still has some bottles left.. bombers were going for 99 cents. shoulda stocked up on them. maybe i'll clean them out tomorrow.

My last count had 224 + BIF + BOTMC. That's a lot of beer. I took "some beer" over to a buddy's house. It was just us two. I brought 30 bottles. Mostly, so he could help m ewhittle down some extras, like some Founders and a few Two Brothers. I also brought over some good ones like GL Edmund Fitz, Bell's Porter, GI Imperial, etc. But the vast majority were simply extras like Founders IPA, GL Holy Moses, Two Brothers Botter, End, TB Ebel's Weiss, TB Cane & Ebel, etc. Good stuff, but not exactly the highest rated stuff from BA.Looks like i'm right behind you with about 30.

I've fulfilled my "two new beer a night max" rule. Now back to a standard - SN Porter.
