What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (6 Viewers)

I saw a new review on BA for the 60th Anniversary St. Bernardus and the guy gave it a pretty low score and I worried for a minute that maybe it's not that good afterall. But then I looked at his other ratings. A 3 for Bells Expedition. A 2.65 for Founders Breakfast Stout. A 3.6 for regular St. Bernardus. :loco:

Damn coors drinkers.

Rochefort 10 :bye:gave it a 4.7this is a ####ing great beer
Imagine then how good a Westy 12 is.
I'm still imagining myself.
imagining yourself doing what?
Well, I had this dream this morning about a girl I used to work with....Oh, not that. Imagining having one and how much better it might be than a Rochefort or St. Bernardus. Hopefully it's not a letdown. I'll know soon.

which guy we talking about here?
quasimoto
roger that. checked some of his reviews.btw - the Bros. gave the Expedition a 1.7 and a 2.6 respectively.
Never had it so I don't know. Kind of far off from the norm though.
mostly their complaint was that it has no carbonation. both of them kept hammering at that point.guys, THE BEER HAS NO CARBONATION. that's sorta the way it's made. it's creamy as hell.. super thick and chocolatey. which they didn't seem to like.

Going to change it up a little and really go ALL the F OUT in honor of my last night of drinking for a while.

Sixer, maybe even seven or eight zima's for me tonight, nice knowin' ya, fellas :banned:

DFH Raison d'Detre

Furley,

Is that a recent release for the Bourbon County? Or is that a stashed bottle from last year? I didn't think they released it until later this year.

I will be back and in full effect. Just was out doing many things this weekend, which included much drinking, poker, and strippers. :)
Nice. Any good, plate glass bax stories?
Not that I know of, but when I left the bachelor party he was still there and looked like he was going to pass out sitting up.
bax needs to get here ASAP!
:goodposting: :hot:

I have had terrible luck with organic beers.
I am a big fan of the Old Plowshare Stout that Fro sent me in the BIF Box. It's organic. I saw it after I got the box at Whole Foods. Nice and drinkable stout. Certainly on the dry side, and somehwat thin compared to the Big Boy Stouts. But being a Little Guy, I liked it.

They call this an ESB but I don't know. Can't tell a whole lot of difference between this and the Festbier (marzen) I had before it. Carmelly malty flavor. Not much hops. Maybe the sugar from the spoonful of cookie dough is screwing my tastebuds up.

I have never seen Old Plowshare, and I live in NorCal . That said, I'm sure there are exceptions, but one brewery that is available pretty much everywhere around here, Butte Creek, makes tons of organics. Most of them suck my butt.

:X Now there's a visual I didn't need to see. FatMax with a bad bottle of beer stuck up his nether-regions. Jeebus.

The hard way, no less.

I've avoided Butte Creek. Seems kinda gimmicky.

Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout.

Another top 100 beer getting rated for me. This one clocks in at #22 on the ol' BA chart.

Let us know. I can get it easily, but I'm not a big Sam Smith's fan. Actually, I'm not an English Ale fan and that is pretty much all I have had from that brewery.

And apparently sucks FatMax's butt. And not in a good way, per Skylord. You've been warned.I shoudl add that I was unaware of a "good" way to suck butt. But maybe I hang out with the wrong "crowd".

All rectum jokes aside, it really is a brewery to avoid. The only beer I remember enjoying from them is their winter seasonal.

"Rectum? Heck, I nearly killed 'em."

This imperial stout is pretty darn good. The smell is unreal.

Its definately English, check your American Double Stout membership card at the door.

Ok, on to bigger and better things. SNPA

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I hit the "N" instead of the "B" to type bigger.

acquired via trade. not sure the bottle date but i THINK it was a 2004.
Oh. Got excited thinking maybe they released it early. But Binny's confirmed that it's Oct-Nov.Maybe they'll put it next to the New Glarus offerings.......

interesting beer. had a hard time quantifying it. first English style Stout.
I like pretty much all English stouts (love Mackesons). And thats about it as far as English beers go. I think I'll need to make another run at English barleywines again. Perhaps I'll grab a few with a couple of years on them and see how they are fairing.
