What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

I have had terrible luck with organic beers.
I am a big fan of the Old Plowshare Stout that Fro sent me in the BIF Box. It's organic. I saw it after I got the box at Whole Foods. Nice and drinkable stout. Certainly on the dry side, and somehwat thin compared to the Big Boy Stouts. But being a Little Guy, I liked it.
I have never seen Old Plowshare, and I live in NorCal . That said, I'm sure there are exceptions, but one brewery that is available pretty much everywhere around here, Butte Creek, makes tons of organics. Most of them suck my butt.
Try the Butte Creek 10th Anniversary Double IPA. Its pretty tasty.http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/762/32154

Sanctification is here. :pickle:
Mine is supposed to show up today too, but I haven't seen it yet. That, and a bunch of Russian River glasses, cause, you know, the dozens of beer glasses I already have don't take up enough room.
Mental note: Put a stop order on that case of Goose Island glasses I had on order for FatMax. TIA.
Did you just TIA your own mental note?
Yes I did. Part of the schtick. Apparently, FatMax doesn't have the same appreciation that the both of us do. His loss, I say.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'll give it a shot when I do. I did notice that it is not an organic, however.

FatMax is a beautiful man.ETA - What's the homebrew?
That's one that a buddy and I did a couple of weeks ago. It's a hoppy red, similar to arrogant *******, but not nearly as big. Easy drinker.
Looks like I owe you some beer. I will be sure to send enough to I get some RR when you go there. Included will be a $20 bottle of Peche Mortel.
Actually, I think I'm still behind you. You sent a bunch of beer last time. Anyway, I hope you like the selection. I made sure to throw in a few of the beers that you wanted.

Either way, I would like you owing me beer next time you hit up RR so you keep me in mind. I will have 7 beers off of you want list en route within 24 hours. :banned:

It's not looking good for beer there. And I don't drink anything else other than wine.
Embrace the lagers down there, and learn to like Margaritas (with good tequila, i.e. no Cuervo).
I guess I will just hope for Dos Equis Amber. At least I know I can tolerate that.
do they get "Presidente"? it's a Dominican beer that's not half bad. it's like a Miller or something.

That'll bring what I sent last time and this time to right about a C note, so figure things from there.

So who wants to bet whether Skylord's box of beer fits in his Crossfire? Weight on website is 70lbs. Total beers in box is 27 with a growler and 1 liter bottle in there.

So, will it fit?

I say no. He will need to strap it down on the top. In which case leads to a Crossfire Capsize upon any sharp turn. So he has to ask a friend with a pick up truck to put it in back and follow him home. Any friend who has a "pick up truck" is a hillbilly and will turn left, towards his house, when Max goes straight. So, unless you re-ship it from your work to your house you will need to drink all the beer at work before passing out in the cab on the way home.

Ooopsie. I just got done reading you and max's brew talk and he must have been stuck in my head.

He brought his truck today just to make sure. Said it wouldn't have fit in the Crossfire.

There's no way it would have fit. No way even close. I brought my truck to work just in case :)I can't wait to get home and open that box up.

I may only be drinking a lowly Casco Bay Riptide Red or Offshore IPA, but with the waves crashing in the background I can pretty much deal. About to fire up a growler of Cape Cod IPA.

Last night I had, no question, the best Hennepin I ever tasted - picked it up fresh from the brewery when I got potsie's cave-aged bottle and, lemme tell ya, it was out-freaking-standing. So fresh, hoppy, yeasty, estery... I'm getting a case of it next time I'm there. That followed a hoppy, earthy Cisco Bailey's Ale. VERY good beer vacation thus far. :banned:

bakes, no more reviews. Have you had any more of the beers from BIF II?
Been on vacation since Saturday and am rollin' with local brews this week. The fridge at home is well stocked with Tip Top offerings, so Sunday should be a very, umm, *stout* day.

BEER GUY'S QUESTION

With the talk of sloshball this last weekend a date has been set to have a real game. My question. What is the best brew to have for this? I ask because of the runningdrinking involved and the excess beer that ends up on the grass. What is the best tolerable beer for this situation?

The St. Bernardus 60th is pretty good. ;)
I . . . . .hate . . . .you . . . . .
Ok, not really. Just in the, im jealous I dont have that beer, kinda way. :D
:pickle:I only had a taste so far. Got sidetracked. Made dinner. Ate dinner. Finally set up a sellers account on Ebay to sell some junk. Might be time for another little taste. Saving the rest of the bottle for my weekly trip to Hooters tomorrow. :D

 Talking keg or bottles/cans? Playing ball, drinking from a keg using plastic cups...About anything will do. If it's bottles I'd probably go Sam Adams.

Guess I will read the reviews when I get back from Cancun.
You suck. ;)
5 year anniversary and a present for my wife completing law school. And the best part, poker is paying for it.

Moosehead. No question.Sure, it doesn't taste the greatest... but no other beer fosters better belches. Seriously. And if you can't slide into second, stand up triumphantly safe, and then let forth a celebratory bull elephant belly grunt, what's the use in playing?
