:goodposting:

1 Sweetwater Blue2 Sweetwater Road Tripall that's left is CL. gotta go to the store
Hitting my beer store tomorrow for Southern Tier Pumking, hopefully some Old Rasputin Bourbon Barrel, and some New Glarus Olde English Porter. All this before hitting the Milwaukee Brewers game with my wife and kids. Needless to say I will be pushing the family into leaving early.

Fat Tire is currently my beer of choice. Not only is the beer awesome, it makes me feel good to know I'm doing my part to for the environment by supporting this wind powered brewery

Went to restock the beer fridge last night:

Bell's Two Hearted Ale IPA - The best (reasonably priced) IPA I've had.

Flying Dog's Dogtoberfest - The best (reasonably priced) Oktoberfest I've had.

Pyramid's Thunderhead IPA

Flying Dog's Snake Dog IPA

Great Lakes' Commodore Perry IPA

Kostriker's Schwarzbier

Sam Adams' Black Lager - not terrible, but for the GF

Sierra Nevada Harvest - Seasonal 24oz

Bell's Best Brown Ale

Very excited about the drinking options this weekend.

That's some good stuff there.

Got some:

Sierra Nevada Celabration Ale (I like this stuff and it was only $12.50 a 12 pack)

DogFish 60 min IPA

Capital Winter Skal

Sitting in a hotel room in Sterling Virginia drinking a Dominion English Style Ale . Maybe I just had a long day of work, but this beer is incredible. From the back of the bottle:

"Medium bodied, generously hopped, complex yet smooth, clean and refeshing".

Currently in the fridge:

Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Anchor Steam Liberty Ale

Miller MGD 64 (what use is 64 calories when it takes 2 of these to give you the buzz of one of the above?)

I haven't posted in this thread in forever, probably since single digit pages. Lots has changed but I wanted to share a quick story about the Irish Bar they built in my condo bldg...well it sits on the river in the bldg next to mine but I literally take the elevator down to the lobby, walk out the back door and along the river about 50 feet and I am right in the middle of one of the best Irish bars I have ever seen.

First of all, I'm not sure I ever had a true Guiness pour until they opened. All the Guiness is poured into 20 oz Imperial Glasses and if you drink out of the normal 16 oz American Pint glass like I have since forever you are truly missing out. The head of the Guiness has to form in an Imperial Glass, it was explained to me why its better and to be honest it flys down my throat like a rich dark cream(that visual doesn't sound right) but it is delicious. Guiness is the 1st "beer snob" beer when you get to college, the doorway to get to so many other better microbrews, but I want to say that a Guiness like what I am poured downstairs is absolutely worthy in the dicsussions of fine beers.

Also I have to confess that I enjoy drinking Miller Lite when I am watching the football games on Sunday Afternoons, just tastes good and usually I am thirsty which always helps. Not a great beer by any stretch but truly serves its purpose by the pitcher during NFL football games.

Carry on.
