What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Trying my first homebrew. Started fermenting last night. We'll see how it goes. Trying an extract kit from Brewer's Best (Pale Ale).

The smell of those little hop pellets is among the best the things I've ever smelled in my life.

Does anyone have any idea of where I can find Samuel Adams Utopias for something closer to $150 than the $250 I've seen it?

Got a six of Sierra Nevada Tumbler waiting for me in the fridge. Just waiting for the wife to call me to pick her up from a baby shower. Couple of Magic Hat #9's too.

I've got some UFO Hefeweizen, Brooklyn Oktoberfest and one more quart can of Paulaner Weisn.

Gonna be a good night. :banned:

Victory Storm King (2010) earlier, Firestone Walker 13 now (Gator>hey)Looking forward to Founders Breakfast Stout next :excited:
Drinking before the fight, Breakfast Stout and Shorts Cup Of Joe Stout. Thumbs up
Onto the Breakfast Stout now. I really wish I could buy this all the time, I had to stock up on a trip to Wisconsin a little while back. Looking at my RateBeer reviews, and it's actually in a 4-way tie for highest ranking of any beer I've ever had. :hifive:

Harpoon IPA. Pretty good suds. Hoppy. Full creamy flavor with an excellent finish. A little fizzier (more carbonated) than a sierra nevada or other IPA's i have tried. I'd buy it again. :banned:

if you don't mind me asking what are the other 3 tied with the breakfast stout? I am in a bout of depression right now, a guy who works out of our Detroit office had a friend buy some Canadian Breakfast, I had a picture of the bottle in hand sent to me. Well, for whatever reason the guy was fired before he could send out the Canadian, I sent him my address before he was fired, I am hoping he can still send it but I have no way of knowing. Also, I have been going through a terrible cold so I have been on a drinking hiatus. But I received a box of goods from a fellow Beeradvocate so I plenty to try this weekend.

Is anyone here in Atlanta? Looking to get some Sweet Water Dank Tank Fresh Sticky Nugs "Fresh Dry Hopped Double Red Ale"

my favorite style.

will be willing to ship anything from FFF, Bell's, Founders, GI or pretty much anything from the midwest.

Just got the last bottle of Founders Backwoods ******* from the store! I've actually never had it and am quite excited.

I'm not sure how how good of a measure this is, since I've noticed that a lot of my earlier ratings are higher than a lot of my more recent ones. The other beers are Goose Island Coffee BCS, Long Trail Coffee Stout (Brewmaster Series), and Alesmith Speedway Stout. I don't even remember the Speedway Stout THAT fondly, but I must've really enjoyed it at the time (nearly 2 years ago now).

Eugene, Oregon's finest -- Ninkasi Tricerahops. Not only is this an excellent DIPA, but it comes at a nice price. I typically find bobmers around $4.69 - $4.99 which stacks up nicely against a lot of other high-end doubles out there.

Went to the local Stop-N-Shop to get a cortadita (cuban coffee w/milk) and peruse their beer selection. They are a run-of-the-mill quick stop but have been making a real effort to stock some quality micros over the past couple of years. They have developed quite a following and tend to get some hard to find beers every once in awhile. I stop there periodically to see what they have and pick up a pick-6 (everything is priced as a sixer or individually for mixing and matching). After picking up a pint +6 oz of Arrogant ******* Ale, I was going to stop there as my wife and son were waiting in the car. Standing at the register I noticed they had a few things on a back shelf that appeared to be in limited quantity so I inquired. I noticed a Dogfish Head that I had not seen before, World Wide Stout. Not thinking about it and assuming since it was back there it had to be a treat, I asked the lady to grab two of them for me. She rang them up at $8.99 per 12 oz. bottle  .

Who has tried Dogfish Head World Wide Stout and is it worth the $$$$? I read some reviews online and it appears to be pretty good stuff with a 18% ABV so it packs quite the bunch. I'll be interested in trying it but have to go out and get a snifter first to give it it's due.

I would say that it's worth the money to try a bottle of it, but after having had a bottle once, I don't ever see myself buying a bottle again. I'd share one with someone if offered, sure - it's an impressive and unique beer. But it's not something I'd want to drink often. And yes, 1 bottle is enough. Drink it slooooowly. :2cents:

Wished I had the excess funds to hit Goose Island today to purchase as much 2010 Vanilla Bourbon County at the King Henry release. But I am saving up for the mass of Central Waters releases upcoming (Exodus, Kosmyk Charlie, Bourbon Barrel Stout, Barleywine and Cherry Stout) all happening wihtin the next 2 months.

Drank a bunch of Napa Smith Organic IPA last night, pretty good IPA I haven't seen around here before
I'm an organic buying kinda guy but for some reason am hesitant at buying an organic beer. I'm concerned that it's just a marketing thing and the beer will suffer as a result. So it was pretty good huh? Might have to try a couple.
Organic gets thrown around a lot with breweries but I think truth be told, most of the smaller craft brews are organic. As for this one, I'd recommend it and drink it again with no hesitation. Now, for what I really came here for, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale 2011 style

Possibly, one of my buddies wants to go, get a cheap hotel for the night and hit the anniversary party.
