Has anyone tried the new Guinness Blonde American Lager?

I have one that will be held for me as soon as it gets to my bottle shop! Interested to try it....seems like a crazy blend of stuff. Per Beeradvocate:I just grabbed a bottle of Firestone Walker's Eighteenth Anniversary Ale at my local liquor store. If you haven't had any of Firestone Walker's Anniversary Ales, I highly recommend keeping an eye out for the release. The brewery brings together California winemakers who help blend a bunch of their highly renowned barrel-aged beers together, which always results in a truly unique, complex, and delicious creation. This year's version consists of 38% Parabola, Firestone's bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout (100 score on BeerAdvocate), which should be an awesome base for the Eighteenth Anniversary Ale.
That's my favorite session beer.Just sipped my first Unsessionable. This is really good!
Rev is the brewed on date.Think with Rev it's a best by date....since the other cans of Fistmas had Feb 4 2015 on them.As long as that is the canned date, not the "best by" date. Some breweries do best by dates. Hate those. So I ran into some Unsessionable tonight but it had a date of 11/3/14 on the bottom of the can. Think it's still good and would still be good in my fridge for a week or two?
Odd, I checked some Anti-Hero and Fistmas, both had Feb 2015 dates on them.Rev is the brewed on date.Think with Rev it's a best by date....since the other cans of Fistmas had Feb 4 2015 on them.As long as that is the canned date, not the "best by" date. I've heard the only difference between a DIPA and barleywine is time, and I tend to agree. I think it's fun to try these big DIPAs fresh, then see how they change over time, but I love sipping on big beers. Give one of these a year then drink it at cellar temp and you'll have a totally different beer.So I ran into some Unsessionable tonight but it had a date of 11/3/14 on the bottom of the can. Didn't they show the logos of the breweries on a pile of limes? Should be interesting.Nope, but once it hits I am getting 3 or 4 I think.any word on the name??? I thought Unicorn Hits Rock Bottom was fantastic with the honey in it. I also loved Spiteful's Whale Tickler with the mango. I'm going to be all over this one.Hawks64 said:Drool PW new DIPA
That's unfortunate. Two Deep said:From here on out --Stella. I jump around and try all kinds of beers---I just can't find one I enjoy more than Stella.
Maybe the only difference between a bad DIPA and a bad barleywine. I love a good barleywine, and I obviously love good DIPAs. They shouldn't resemble each other in the slightest. But you are right that they sometimes do. Unfortunately on both counts.I've heard the only difference between a DIPA and barleywine is time, and I tend to agree. I'm in Ft. Collins this week getting spoiled on great beers I can't normally get. Oaked Yeti atm and lots of other good stuff in the fridge. Got an escape planned tomorrow to hit a dispensary then meet a local friend for a tour at Odell.
