What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (5 Viewers)

I'm out in Moab, Utah for the weekend, and I've been drinking a lot of Squatters Hop Rising double IPA from Salt Lake City. I've been enjoying it. It has a really nice fresh, citrus/grapefruit hop flavor and very smooth for 9% ABV.

Also been drinking some Oskar Blues Ten Fidy imperial stout that I brought from Denver. That stuff is great. Great dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and roasted malt flavor with a velvety smooth and creamy mouthfeel.

Also an imperial stout from Epic Brewing in Salt Lake City, but was not particularly impressed. It alright, but overall forgettable.

ETA- It's unbelievable out here in Utah going to restaurants where every beer on draft is 3.5% ABV. Thankfully, places have had higher ABV beers in bottles. I refuse to pay for a 3.5% ABV beer. Might as well be drinking O'Doul's.

Fresh hoppy beers are like sushi IMO. You try it a few times, learn to like it more and more....and then you start craving the really good stuff.
Christo is more of a canned tuna and fish sticks type of guy. Isn't that right, Christo? Do you like fishsticks?

@ equating liking IPAs to having a refined palate.

I like sushi the first time I tasted it.

Same here and I thought beer was disgusting the first few times I tried it. As I tried more and more beer styles, I really developed a palate for what I like and what I don't. Not liking IPA doesn't mean you have no taste in beer. IPAs are an acquired taste and can have many complex flavors. If you don'tike it, fine. However, it still is much more complex than Coors Banquet.

I never claimed Coors was more complex.

Nor did I claim that you claimed.

Yeah, you just pulled that name out of the air. Had nothing to do with any of my posts in the thread.

I mentioned it because you love it. Mentioning it does not equate to saying that you think it is more complex than any other beer.

I love lots of things. You didn't mention any of those.

Christo is more of a canned tuna and fish sticks type of guy. Isn't that right, Christo? Do you like fishsticks?

You still haven't answered the question. Doyoulikefishsticks?

I did when I was a kid. I don't think I've had any for over 25 years.

Yeungling
I'm in Pittsburgh a lot for work and I started going to this because it's good value and I liked it the first few times I had it. $10.99 for a 12 pack of cans to finish yourself off in your hotel room. Not bad.

But after doing this last week... I've concluded that Yeungling kind of sucks.

A buddy's homebrew saison. Tastes more like a tripel than a Belgian saison though. But it's good.

Still recovering a bit from yesterday.....too much Gandhi Bot and Labatt Blue...

Next time you're in Pittsburgh go to Fat Heads. Awesome Wings (all their food is good, really), and killer beer selection. Love that place.

Hey guys/gals, a friend of mine sent a very quick video to Saranac and they are doing kind of an downtown ambassadorial program and that he made it through screening and the first round. For the next, they only told him to post it to social media. It's kind of like free promotion for them, and I'm assuming they'll just track some youtube hits/likes. If you have a minute

Thanks in advance.
