What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

So, I was going through some of my old stuff and found tasting menu from the 2003 Real Ale Festival in Chicago that I went to. Thought it would be interesting to see what was there. This was towards the beginning of my entry into craft beer, so I really didn't know what to make sure to taste or anything. Also I am sure my taste buds have changed a ton. I made no tasting notes except next to Rogue Smoke I wrote "worst beer ever". That must have been the beer that I thought tasted like fish way back when that turned me off of smoked beers. Anyways I thought I would list what I marked as tasted (yeah, I know it's a lot) and beers that I regret not tasting. Here goes...

I don't disagree, but at the time I hadn't even had Two Hearted before. Everything was new to me. I had just started to get into craft brews and had no idea what to look for when I was there. Like I said before, I wish I knew then what I know now.

So should I expect someone knocking on my door this weekend?
How's Saturday at 2pm sound?
Should be home from work, but I work again at 4:30 Sunday morning. :(
what the #### do you do for a living man? jeebus.
Warehouse Manager in a Distribution Center that does home deliveries.
If you say "for beer deliveries" in that job description, then you are my hero. Otherwise, I think you're Furley's hero. But for entirely "other" reasons.
Nope, we delivery Appliances and TVs out of the warehouse. I work for a company that many people on this board seem to hate.
Even Furley might get this clue
Is it a Republican company?
Ralph's Joy of Living? Sounds like it might be a conservative company. Religious undertones abound....

I live in MN, looks like they are in OH.ETA: I am sure anybody who has been on the board for a while could tell you who I work for.

I'm a marxist, and I don't want to see politics in this thread.

if i'm naked, just let me in. don't ask questions. i'll explain everything later.
Come and knock on our door....Tip Top's been waiting for you....
You know this is funny to us, but have you ever tried to explain any board humor to a non-FBG? Gets you lots of blank stares and "sure...."s.

:lmao: ####### Bush :hot:

I would really like to try the Oaked Arrogant *******. Too bad I have only seen it in the monster-sized bottles.
What means this "too bad" part?
No kidding. If I saw that on the shelf I would see it as a ***mandate***.
But I think those monster bottles are over $100.
And.........?
See previous post from a couple of days ago (about 40 pages back I guess :D ) about how cheap I am concerning equating cost of bomber to a 6 pack.

that wasn't a question! Do IT! :hot: Better yet. Buy me one and ship it to me. I'll pay for the shipping.

For those of you who ordered from the Belgian Shop a couple weeks ago. I emailed them yesterday inquiring about the status of my order and got an email today that it shipped today. Maybe the email gets them moving? Just an FYI.

Hopefully mine isn't too far behind......

Anyone here keep their empty beer bottles? Or maybe one of each kind... I'm considering it where I'm just starting out with craft beers. I could imagine that with a large collection, transporting it would be a pain in the ### but I guess I'm just picturing myself in a big house some day with a game room and a shelf of 200 bottles on the wall. Would spark a lot of storytelling, I'm sure.

Wouldn't go as far as this guy.

Wal-Mart?
:goodposting: But no.
:goodposting: I worked for Sam's Club for 8 months. Longest 8 months of my life.
It's Minnesota, so it's one of 2 places. One of them is hated more than the other. In fact the other, isn't really hated at all.The first company I worked for was based out of Minnesota. I met a lot of nice girls there. ;)
