What'd you get? Details, man....details.
It's my trade with Duckboy. I was going to post pictures when I get home as I only know it's there since my wife called (I am at work). He sent -3 Hair of the Dog Blue Dot

2 HOTD Fred from the Wood
Yeah, I think he sent 2 or 3 of each to everyone in BIF too...
That would be quite nice of him.
Translation: You're not special. Sorry.(Disclaimer: It's not true, but no need to heed the truth. Just ask Furley. He's been ignoring reality for years.)

Drinking a Stoudt's DIPA. Saw it today for the first time in Sacramento. I was stoked, especially since it was on my wants list. The only problem is that it isn't quite what I was expecting. 10% abv and cloyingly sweet isn't what I look for in an IPA. 3.65/5

Yeah, I had it a few weeks ago. It was good, but nothing to write home about.

Abita Restoration Ale. Meh. That's all they had at the convenience store.

Wish they had some 20th Anniversary Pilsner
I was just watching the movie Waiting... and noticed that all the beer is Abita. They had an Abita Light neon sign and a Purple Haze neon sign in the movie and whenever they showed someone with beer it was Abita. I like Abita, but what's up with that?and BTW, six months ago I would've been oblivious to all of that.

oh yeah, tonight I had another first - St. Bernardus Prior 8. A lot like the Pater 6 but stronger.

Followed it up with a few SN Porters. Funny, when I tried it about 5 months ago, I thought it was only OK, now I really enjoy it.

Now onto my favorite - Paulaner hefe. :banned:

If you like the Paulaner Hefe, and I agree it is a good hefe, try the Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier. Simply the best German hefe imo.

 I've had the Weihenstephaner also and really like it. I love the Weihenstephaner Dunkel. The owner of the beer store I get them at told me that he wouldn't be able to get them anymore. He said they were not making it anymore (I think he said that, he's hard to understand at times.) Hopefully, he is mistaken. :(

I haven't heard anything about that but who knows. Maybe just a distributing thing?

Looks like you enjoyed the Equinox, FatMax.
Yeah, it's probably the best ESB I have ever had. It had a great bitterness to it along with a nice malt, but neither element was over the top. Just a strong tasting, easy drinking beer. The lacing in the glass reminded me of a big, sticky DIPA. Really good stuff. If you can find it, get some.

It'll be nice when Bell's expands production and some more people can get their stuff. They are really a great brewery. (not that I mind having them in my back pocket for trades)

Larry is currently talking to a couple of Florida distributors. I got an email from the man myself confirming this.As a Bells fan, it would be HUGE to be able to get even SOME of his beers down here. I agree with ya, its one of my favorite breweries.

I may have a Cherry Stout next

Sticking with the Bell's theme. I love the Cherry Stout. It took a 6 pack or so to grow on me, but I really dig it.

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout was the first stout that made me see how great a stout can be.

Its a good one for sure  I think Old Rasputin and Rogue Chocolate Stout were my first 2 big stouts that opened my eyes to stouts. I have a few BIG stouts in my fridge that Im want to try side by side....Stone RIS, Storm King, Alesmith Speedway, and Bear Republic Big Bear. Storm King is the only one Ive tried so far. Should make for a nice stout tasting night.

Sounds very nice. I can't wait til my cellar gets to the point where I can do verticals.

I think Im gonna finish off my night with a Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock. Its a perfect night ender. Then its time for me to hit the sack.
