What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

For my birthday my friends picked up some beer for me. Some Saison DuPont, some Westmalle Dubbel, Chimay Cinq Cents, Allagash Triple, and St. Bernardus Abt 12 along with a couple of Saison DuPont glassware. I was happy.

Sounds like one good birthday. My friends wouldn't know enough to get me something that good, Bax included.

It's been a great beer night. Now having Fred.
Fred = Red Rocket? Drinking the ole standby, HopDevil. I did have a Hennipen, a Saison Dupont, and a Westmalle Dubbel earlier.
Don't know how that happened.
Looking forward to drinking quite a few Hair of the Dogs when I make my trip to Portland in a couple weeks. I'll be there for four days, so maybe I will try and hit the brewery if they do tours.

Holy crap, I need to stop posting here. I didn't realize I was over 1000, much less the post leader. I am not comfortable being that. Skylord should be the one. He knows more about beer than I do, fo sho.

I was smart enough to make a list, although suprisingly the only one of the above that was on my list was the St Bernardus. They did good.

Haven't had a bad HOTD brew yet. I would take every opportunity to hit that brewery up.

He's only behind by 5 or so. And I would put you and Skylord in the same category. :banned:

We all have the same love. This is a really great thread because we all love good beer and we all have individual tastes and regional quirks that make each of our beer tastes unique. Not to mention that there is no politics, religion, or other differences that turn many threads into flame wars. And we aren't as stiff as the BA forums tend to be. This sounds like some kind of drunk speech :bag: .

May sound like a drunk speech, but it is so true. I have never found a place I feel so comfortable saying what I think about something that is truly a passion of mine. I love beer. And that is enough for people in this thread, which it isn't everywhere. GB fbg beer threads. Looking forward to seeing you in BIF II. Still have to decide who to send to....

I think I might be a little drunk. How'd this happen. Not trashed by any means, but well over the legal limit to drive.

BTW Skylord, you've almost caught up to Wingnut in # of posts.

It's like an alarm went off.
:lmao: Yeah, as much as I drink and talk about beer, I am not even close to these guys.

Pretty sad showing, guys.
That's 4am my time. I was  Couldn't drink much since I was on call. Saison Dupont was it for me.I did get up around 3am when my phone alerted me that some ####### sniped me on my bid for Westy 12. :hot: The jackass has an Ebay store selling...you guessed it, Westy 12. So he bought that item for $41.5 Euro and is reselling it for $57 Euro. The seller had sold units of 6 bottles before for $20 Euro. Now that this guy (winner) is around, I don't see that happening anymore. Next time I'm going to be online for the last minute of the auction.

Guess I am the only one with nothing much to do on a Saturday night. :kicksrock:
Not true. I was in bed before 10pm. I will note that we had a long and active day. But still..... :bag:
Man, I am not usually in bed at 10 even when I have to get up at 3 the next morning.

Got up at 6am with the little one, and we had a jam packed day. Don't recall even having a beer y'day.

No clue. Although, might have had one with dinner. They all bleed together after a certain point.

It'll be nice when Bell's expand production and some more people can get their stuff.  They are really a great brewery.  (not that I mind having them in my back pocket for trades)
Larry is currently talking to a couple of Florida distributors. I got an email from the man myself confirming this.As a Bells fan, it would be HUGE to be able to get even SOME of his beers down here. I agree with ya, its one of my favorite breweries.

:banned:

I may have a Cherry Stout next
Bell's Cherry Stout or New Glarus Unplugged Cherry Stout?
Sticking with the Bell's theme. I love the Cherry Stout. It took a 6 pack or so to grow on me, but I really dig it.
Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout was the first stout that made me see how great a stout can be.
i've had nothing but Stouts every Friday & Saturday for the past 4-5 weekends. (well.. and a couple Porters too)

 you should see my fridge. i've gotta plow through the Stout fridge before i can move on to the Porter fridge, then i can get to the Saison mini-fridge, and then the IPA mini, but not until after i drink up all the Browns and Reds that are in the basement.
