What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

tonight's bounty from Trader Joe's:

Sam Smith's Nut Brown

Mixed 6 pack o Smuttynose finest kind IPA, Anchor Steam, and some Liberty Ale for my roomie to try

Going to pick up the Dead Guy Ale (anyone had it?) and one of the Chimays later this week. I'll be popping my Chimay cherry.
pretty universally loved on FBGs

Does Joe's as a chain sell Smuttynose? Or just in certain areas? I've been looking for that, and have had no success. Maybe it was under my nose all along at Joe's....

I'm in mass and smuttynose is brewed about an hour away so i'm guessing it's regional. though this store has some stuff brewed out of Cali and Minnesota and other places so it's worth a shot. where you based?

Can't get Smuttynose at my Trader Joes

Just curious about the Trader Joe's question. Thanks, Skylord.

Also wanted to pad the thread post count. Closing in on #4....
I didn't see it at Trader Joe's last time I was in Chicago.
Figures. These guys are just like Bostonian (the shoemaker). Any time I find a shoe of theirs I love, they discontinue it. #######s.

I am pretty happy that Chicone's in Hudson, WI is starting to carry Smuttynose.

Beers I had this weekend:

Boddingtons

Newcastle (both of which were quite disappointing
Hmm, I've found Boddington's to be the smoothest brew on the market. To each his own, I guess.
It's smooth because of the nitro tapping. If you want smooth, hit of some of the good Russian Imperial Stouts like Stone, Brooklyn Black Chocolate, Victory Storm King, etc.

There's nothing like a nice smooth beer while I'm surfing the net. Gracias for the tips!

St B's Abt 12 is excellent

speaking of which... what of the 60th Anniversary? i'd ask on the BA but they'll bite your head off.

Had this yesterday

He'Brew Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A

Its a Double IPA with a big Rye and Malt backbone. Stong beer at 10% but balances nicely. I give it a . Worth checking out.

well.... it's a start anyways. nothing like the head guy basically flaming new people before they even get a chance to post but... as long as they realize it's not cool for the established heads to just hammer every person who asks a question that's been discussed 3 1/2 years ago.

Don't take it personal "Gator" I am aiming that one at the Florida Gators. If you are a big Gator Fan, o well ROFLMAO. Take it what you will.

Dude, shhhhh. We like to let Gator think the world is against him. It allows him to indulge his conspiracy leanings. So Gator, he was only kidding. Take it personally. He was aiming at YOU. Even if you're not a Gator fan (who cares anyway).
