And yes, yes I know about the Labatt's. My dad and my cousin, who are both helping me finish my basement, both drink it.
That is pretty shasta mcnasta right there. what is the oldest beer you have in that basement and how long ago did you get it? (don't include vintages bought if they were already a few yrs. old)

Whirlwind. A wit from Victory. I didn't like it as much before, but I'm liking it right now. Might be because I just got finished with 25 minutes on the elliptical. Or maybe it's going good with this banana. :shrug:

I'm about to embark on an 001 Beatification.

I'm almost nervous :bag:
I don't think I can drink another beer after this tonight.
I bet it was good. A buddy of mine works for a beer distributor. They're almost there for getting RR on their list. :thumbup: Prima Pils for me. I'm going backwards.

F'n great beer, agreed? I don't have the words to describe it.
F'n great beer indeed. I'm ready for whats next from them. I signed up for their newsletter but I don't have faith that I'll get updated once the next bottle hits their shopping area.

Somehow I think that if Skylord posted pictures of his cellar two things would happen:1) We would all be very jealous

2) Wingnut would masturbate furiously

Its not as large in volume as others. I age beer to drink beer. Once its of age, I drink it. I do have some really nice ones (2000 Alesmith Old Numbskull Barleywine, 2003 Alesmith Weizenbock (retired), all the Stone verticals, etc).Once I get my larger 500 bottle wine fridge from my sister, things could change though. My bank acct fears that day.

And since I've obtained my good standing with Sam (owner of the Stuffed Sandwich), if I want something aged I just get it from him. For a small fee I can get any barleywine, imperial stout, belgian, etc back till around 1998.

Now adays I treat beer like movies. There are so many I haven't seen or tried, why drink or watch the same one twice? Yes, beer does become more complex over time so tasting at different ages is worthwhile, but I don't need a case of 2002 Bigfoot unless I'm planning on trading it. I just wouldn't drink it. Too many other beers to sample, thats what trading with the Midwest guys has taught me...there are still breweries I haven't even sampled. Heck, I was researching Canadian breweries last night and found a dozen I would love to try.

Too much beer, not enough time.

i was "talking" to one of the Canadian BA's (goldorak) who said that he's tried trading with people in the states 4 different times... been nicked each time. none has made it through customs.

A dozen? My experience with researching Canadian beer and trying some when I was up there yielded a far smaller number.

Interesting. Did it get grabbed both ways?

i'd double-check my beermail to make sure on that one.. unfortunately it's been deleted by the system.iirc, yes, it got nicked going out but not coming in.

lemme ask again.

OK, maybe not exactly 12 but more than seven. Most of which were in Quebec.

Alright, so the bad news was that the draft took longer than I expected mlast night, and with an early wakeup time, no Masala Mama for me :cry:

Good news is that means I can polish off the whole growler tonight! :banned: (Alright, more likely in 2 nights - it is midweek).

Along with the growler and the expected:

FFF Alpha King

Bells Two Hearted

New Glarus Cherry Stout

Founders Red's Rye

Founders Black Rye

TipTop sent a couple of extras:

Smuttynose Robust Porter

Tyranena Bitter Woman from Hell

Thanks TT! Glad to get some of the midwest brews I can't find here.

We need a roster sig.
All will be revealed eventually. Suffice to say it was a challenge drafting with that many quality MB/staff. Went both better and worse than expected, so we'll call it par for the course until I spend a little more analysis on it.

Oh, by the way

46884x32x5017x8 = 37,634,724,480.00

46884x32x502668 = 754,146,768,384.00

46884x32x5x34x5 = 1,275,244,800.00
:mellow:
:hey: (1) Approximate market cap of DuPont (DD).

(2) Record number of kilowatt-hours produced by the 103 nuclear energy plants in the US in 2000.

(3) Estimated population of China, circa 2004.

What do I win?

Beer Post of the Day

Oh, and I was just thinking about this yesterday, but all the trades that I have been doing with you guys is going to seriously limit my options for BIF II. That, or I am going to have to be very creative or get some tough to find beers.

Or you could make it easy on yourself and just send me a 12-pack of Masala Mama growlers. Your choice. :unsure:
