What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

The sweetness does, if I can find the rest of the bottles then I'll need to sample one.
If you find any more......
I've got a box of Cherry Christmas from 2002 that I did find. Haven't cracked one in a while so our friend Tip Top is going to guinea pig one for us (shipment arrives Friday). Its a good beer but the carbonation gets a bit wanky.Regardless, guinea pigs aren't from Guinea, nor are they pigs. Just so everyone knows.

I don't know the alcohol on this one either. I had to use a blow off tube once the cherries went in. Things got a little crazy so the alcohol has to be fairly high.

Wife got called in, so obviously I can't drive anywhere if my car is broke. Time for a Nugget Nectar.
Thats a crying shame. I hope you pull thru these tough times. :banned:
Struggling times man.PF-Wish you were here -and-Nugget Nectar :banned:
I have only gotten my hands on one Nuggect Nectar and it just wasn't enough. I need more.
me too. Well, not the only one part. I had a few (maybe a case or so). But not enough. Been sitting on these last few since March. Starting to worry about "shelf life". Hah, seems to be just as good as ever!

I am nearing my 100th review on BA and don't know what I should have to mark that feat. Any suggestions?
St. Bernardus 60th?I have a 1 track mind. I won't be happy until I have that.
Gotta go check to see if my case I ordered came in. Can't really call since I still can't talk.
If you get that case before I get mine...I'm gonna be pissed. I don't know why....but I will. I've been on a mission. So bad that the last time I walked (without saying anything) into the beer store the owner picked up the phone to ask for an update from the distributor. I was just there to to pick up some Paulainer.

They will be surprised when I walk in as they know I was having throat surgery. I even buttered him up with an Arrogant ******* (can't get it here). Also, I was around when the rep for that distributor was at the store and he wrote it down. I should get a case, just a matter of when.

On a side note, I don't know that 60th Anniversary can be better than St Bernardus on tap. I was in heaven at the Map Room. Very possible that I convince myself to get a 1/4 bbl of this on tap at home soon.

Ok, it's official. After trying to move all the stuff I bought this weekend downstairs I realized something. I have more beer than even I can drink. Quite the problem.

wanna come to Milwaukee and help them out Duck?

those ###### ####### can't seem to figure out how to stop dumping billions of gallons of raw untreated sewage in to Lake Michigan every couple weeks.

TIA
CSO problems or SSO problems? The first one's due to stormwater, the second due to inflow. I can fix all of their problems - just give me 20 years and an infinite budget. CDB crumbling rust belt infrastructure. :hot:
dunno what the problem is... http://www.wisconline.com/greenmap/milwaukee/deeptunnel.htmlthough i DO know that this much is bull####:

"The Deep Tunnel Project, an 18-year renovation of the area's waste water collection and treatment system, resulting in 17+ miles of tunnels is a waste water overflow catchment system designed to keep pollutants out of Lake Michigan. Designed and managed by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD), the Deep Tunnel is capable of holding up to 400 million gallons of storm and waste water runoff."

we'd get an inch of rain over the course of a day and the next morning's headline would be: "MMSD forced to dump 120 million gallons of untreated sewage in to Lake Michigan". pretty sure Chicago is trying to sue the City of Milwaukee for polluting the Lake, in particular their part of it.

I have not had any New Glarus, but from reading some of your reviews it is high on the list of things I need to try. Fortunately, there is good news on the horizon locally. A distributor said that St. Bernardus Abt 12 60th Anniv. Edition should be out soon as well as Jolly Pumpkin expanding their distribution down here. Plus the Brewgrass Festival is only 6 weeks away, as well as the selling of the limited edition "Double" Gaelic Ale that Highland Brewing is coming out with in 1 liter swing-top bottles. Almost the one year Anniversary of popping the cap, and I am very thankful.
New Glarus is building a much larger brewery to increase production. My dad is the project manager for and the good news is that he told me the owners are being very meticulous about how it is built because they don't want to sacrifice quality for quantity.
:excited:where yah been!?what can you tell us about whether or not they're canceling the Edel Pils and others?

I can get St. B on tap at the beer house near my work. But I haven't had it yet. The bar near my house has Chimay on tap. Near being within 10 miles.

(excerpt): "The Transportation Security Administration said in a statement passengers on all domestic and international flights would be banned from transporting any type of liquid or gel in their carry-on luggage. The ban applies to all types of beverages, shampoo, toothpaste, hair gels and other items of a similar consistency, the TSA announced."

:sadbanana:
WHAT?!?!?! That better be temporary. I had plans of bringing a lot of beer (Andechs) back from Germany. I can put it in my checked luggage, but I know the chances of it making the trip w/o breakage is slim. Edit: Whew...temporary. Hope they don't do the same next month. Or

Britain imposed similar bans with the exception of baby formula, which the traveler would have to prove safe by drinking some.
I'd gladly drink one of the beers if they let me carry it on.

I thought the same damn thing which makes me ashamed to admit. I want to go to Belgium and France for a week in March.

First thought that crossed my mind this morning when I heard the carry-on restriction. I plan on bringing some back from NY in a few months, hopefully the ban will be lifted by then. Next month on an international flight? You might be checking your beer.

That would suck. I'm thinking a second suitcase filled with bubble wrap will be the answer. They do still allow 2 checked bags...right? That'll probably set off alarms. "A suitcase filled with bubble wrap? Must be a terrorist."

Give us some options. I know you still have beer I sent you from a while ago. Perhaps an Alesmith Grand Cru or Old Numbskull?

I dunno. But I suspect that if they start drinking MORE beer, we'd have fewer of these problems.

Speaking of Duck Rabbit, they are coming out with a Baltic Porter (ale, not lager) as their next seasonal. Should be out in the next month or so.
