I forgot how good this Mendocino Winter Ale is. It has lost NONE of the hoppiness, and may be a bit smoother.
 Haven't had this yet.
me neither, and I get mendocino beers down here
You won't be able to find it now. It's last year's winter seasonal, and Mendocino normally changes their seasonals. Who knows what they are going to brew this year.
Huh. I've had the Yuletide porter in the past. This place is going to be pretty busy during the holiday season. I get a little "obsessed" with winter/seasonal/holiday beers and will probably be wanting to trade a lot.Y'all been warned.

Speaking of Duck Rabbit, they are coming out with a Baltic Porter (ale, not lager) as their next seasonal. Should be out in the next month or so.
i want one :drive: and an RIS too! or two of each. whatever.
I'll start setting some of these aside as I get them. The RIS probably won't be out until Jan or Feb.

*** Liquid Solutions News ***

Liquid Solutions is going though a lot of changes right now and I thought I had better let everyone know about what is going on. I hope all of you will understand that these changes are necessary and please bear with us until things settle down.

*** Computer Issues ***

As I am sure many of our Internet customers know we have been have serious computer issues as of late. It has been a matter of website availability and our host services going down with greater and greater frequency. Rest assured that the data you have entered into our system has in NO WAY been compromised. Security is currently and has always been rock solid and will always be one of our top concerns.

Since our web host could not provide a stable platform for us to run on we are currently moving the site to a different host. We have a new host selected and a migration path planned out. We should be completing the switch this week if all goes well. We will try and minimize impact by doing the switchover during non-peak hours and we expect a smooth transition.

*** No Sale and New Location ***

Those of you who have received our newsletter for some time know that we were trying to sell the business at one point. We had been working with an individual for some time to that end and although both parties worked hard to come to an agreement, it was just not to be. That left Sherri and I with the quandary of what to do next. This along with the fact that the lease at our current location had expired, made us think long and hard about our present business model, our growth pattern for the last 2.5 years, and where we want to be 5 years from now. All of this has lead us to the conclusion of shutting down our retail showroom, finding a commercial space and setting up shop there.

What this means for our internet customers is that we will have more space, better effiencies, and shorter turn-around times. What this means for our local customers is that there will no longer be the "Wall of Beer" to stare at. All of your products will be displayed online (like they are now) and will be available for purchase online with an "In Store Pickup" option. The "In Store Pickup" orders will be pulled, charged and ready for pickup during will-call hours. This was not an easy decision for us to make but it is the right long term answer for Liquid Solutions.

This transition will occur at the end of July / first of August. Please bear with us, as this transition will take some time. We will have to take the business down for a couple of days as we move and reconfigure our processes. Our new location will be in Oregon City and I will provide everyone with more details in a day or two as well as information on our moving sale.

*** New Beers! ***

Deschutes 18th Anniversary Pilsner 22oz:

Yet another fine brew in their Bond Street series. This Pilsner pours a pale straw color with a thin but lacy head. Lightly malty in the aroma with a fruity hint of hop. Light refreshing body along with a good hop bitterness makes it very drinkable. The flavor is of pale malt and a spicy / tangerine hop character. As with all of the Bond Street seasonals, this is in limited supply.

Eel River Triple Exultation 22oz:

OH MAMA!!!! This is my kind of beer. This old ale style beer is totally malt driven. Ultra rich and caramely, 9.7%, big body, smooth finish. Who could want anything more!!

http://www.liquidsolutions.biz/pro ... 222126.htm

Eel River Raven's Eye 22oz:

This Imperial stout is BIG and black. Inky black and pours with an ample dense head. Tons of coffee and chocolate tones in both the flavor and aroma, this stout finishes with a medium hop bitterness peaking over all of that roasted malt. And the 9.5% is certainly appropriate for the style.

Butte Creek Revolution X 22oz:

Their 10th anniversary Imperial IPA pours a deep golden orange color. The head is not huge but big enough for a 9.1% IPA. The aroma is pine a grapefruit with a touch of sweet malt. The flavor is resinous and woody with a caramel tone as well.

That's all for now!

I am nearing my 100th review on BA and don't know what I should have to mark that feat. Any suggestions?
Give us some options. I know you still have beer I sent you from a while ago. Perhaps an Alesmith Grand Cru or Old Numbskull?
At first was thinking that I should rate a DIPA, my favorite style. Candidates were looking like Double Simcoe or Moylander. Now I am thinking either Beatification or Raspberry Eisbock.

Either the Beatification, Simcoe or Eisbock would be good choices

I have not had any New Glarus, but from reading some of your reviews it is high on the list of things I need to try. Fortunately, there is good news on the horizon locally. A distributor said that St. Bernardus Abt 12 60th Anniv. Edition should be out soon as well as Jolly Pumpkin expanding their distribution down here. Plus the Brewgrass Festival is only 6 weeks away, as well as the selling of the limited edition "Double" Gaelic Ale that Highland Brewing is coming out with in 1 liter swing-top bottles. Almost the one year Anniversary of popping the cap, and I am very thankful.
New Glarus is building a much larger brewery to increase production. My dad is the project manager for and the good news is that he told me the owners are being very meticulous about how it is built because they don't want to sacrifice quality for quantity.
:excited:where yah been!?what can you tell us about whether or not they're canceling the Edel Pils and others?
No inside scoop on brewery business since my dad works for the builder, but I went out with him several years ago when they built an addition on the existing brewery and met the owners, did a tour & some sampling. I have asked/begged to go out again and if it happens I will try to get some info and report back.

This just in. Beatification is really really good beer! Thanks again Nucular George.
 I can still smell and taste it. Also want to see how good the Sanctification is too.Glad you like it. Happy to help you get a chance to try it at least.And.....um....."nice box".

Ok, I have found a problem with Beatification...It drinks way too easily. It's almost gone.
No kidding. I remember sitting there about 2/3 of the way through thinking "I wonder how long I can make that last 1/3 drag out?" I was hoping I could make it drag out for a few hours. But my lack of willpower being what it is and all.....

And FatMax,Beatification, #####!
Currently looking into trading for more on BA. I have more than enough to offer to get some.
You do have a bunch to offer. But I have had several people ask, and no one has come close. Honestly, I personally can't think of what it would take to get this beer off my hands. I sent that one to you because I knew you'd appreciate it and obviously was vindicated in thinking that. If you find more, then grab as much as you can. I have interest too, but let's face facts here --- any amount you do manage to get will almost certainly be enough for YOU and not anyone else. Happy hunting, and best of luck. But maybe the Westy 12 is enough to make some people part with it. I dunno, never had the Westy 12 yet. We'll see.

With the power of Masala Mama, Peche Mortal, and Westy 12 on my side I should be able to get some.
