Drinking my first Beatification.

NG was dead-on with his remarks on this beer. I gave my buddy in IL one of my six for all of the hassles he had with FedEx getting the box delivered. I'm seriously tempted to drive back up there, kick his ###, and bring that one back.

A lot of people may not like this beer. It's tart, bordering on sour; it's funky, bordering on stinky. But for those of us who love those qualities, it's incredible.

If anyone knows of a single woman who likes this beer, please let me know. I'll start ring shopping.
:hey:
 With that username, I'm going to need some serious verification. Besides, doesn't "mrs" kind of imply "not single"?
That can be taken care of real quick. He need's his #### kicked out the door anyway.

Sanctification is already sold out at Russian River. Thank god for you guys. I might have not known it was even out to get my order in.

Deification (not defication) is supposed to be coming out soon. Keep your eyes peeled.

Moylander.

#### this is good stuff!

Any of you hard-cores got any recommendations of similar brews (huge floral hops, but balanced)?

TIA

Isn't there a program that lets you know when a web page has been updated? I'd like to do that with Russian Rivers page

Stone Ruination would be a good starting point
Yum!Definitely the right direction here.Used to be a regular part of the rotation (that is, until last year when Monterey County's Stone distributor went out of business! Monterey County!!!! Parts of which are less then a 5 hour drive from the brewery!!!!   )Mas?

Unfortunately a lot of the beers you'd like aren't available unless you do some trading. Ideally, you want this beer. Can you get Great Divide? The Hercules Double IPA fits the bill

Confession time.

I spent my entire Saturday drinking in the pool at Bally's. I drank nothing but bud light . And a lot of it. Everytime we ordered a bucket of 16ozers they gave us two bottles free.

Between seven of us, we drained the entire stock at the pool. Literally. Some guys a few cabanas down ordered some bud light and the waitress told them they were out, that we had drank them out of stock. The waitress then brought them over just so they could see who we were.

How much bud light did we drink? from 10:30am to 4:30pm we drank $700 worth of bud light before the tip...which doesn't take into consideration all the free bottles. And that was just the beginning of the night....a night that got really ugly. I'm am still hung over at this moment.

OK, I feel better now that I got that off my chest.

I feel dirty after reading that.

Don't forget to factor in the Bud Lite Beer Conversion Factor. It's really not THAT impressive when you consider the beer. Although, the level of formaldehyde in that beer makes up for that somewhat.

good point 2.5 Bud Light = 1 "normal" beer
And what does 1 "normal" beer equal in "good" beer?
2.5 Bud Light = 1 "normal beer" = 0.25 "good beers"
So even if they had 250 Bud Lite, that'd be only 25 real beers. What was there, like 7-8 people right? I'm too lazy to scroll up and read. Damn Furley, I thought YOU were a light weight.... :oSo that's about 3 beers each. Hell, for Furley that's a party!

I don't know the technical side of things, but I signed up for their email list last week. I don't know if they announce beer releases, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

I talked to Natalie about this. Mentioned that I had signed up for the email, and she said I should find out in there that things are being released, etc. Not a thing from them on this release for Sancitification. Had to have Skylord ping me on it. And even then, I was concerned that I might miss it, as I had to call and leave a message because I couldn't order online.Sanctifiction was only 70 cases, so I suppose there are lots of people who are "out" on this one. I've got mine though thanks to Skylord. Yay.

With that small amount, I'm surprised that they let people buy up to a case at a time, considering that Beatification was limited at six bottles per. I haven't even received my Sanctification, and I'm already kicking myself for not buying more than four bottles.

Finally got around to trying the Founders Imperial Stout last night courtesy of Nucular Gerge (thanks again). Really good stout, one which I liked a lot better than Bell's Expedition and only slightly less enjoyable than Stone RIS or Speedway only due to being less complex. Nice deep black color it pured with nary a head on it. The mouthfell was about perfect, as it was thick without being too oily. Roasted malts and chocolate dominated the flavor, and it had a nice bit of alcohol burn. Easy to drink for such a big beer, and while it could have been more complex that may have taken away from its drinkibility. Solid RIS, one which I would pick up if it were available here in the South.

I was shocked.I asked if I can buy a case. She said yes.I said, please. She charged my card. They shipped it yesterday because they wanted to avoid having it sit somewhere over a weekend. They sent me a nice email saying it was sent.I replied Thanks with some other very kind words.I think they like me.

You are wrong, sir. Much easier to drink that Bell's Expedition. KT speaks the trufe.

when Nucular George is on your side, you know you're wrong.

Bell's is 10x better than Founders (Imp Stout wise anyways).

in terms of what you like, your opinion means nothing. you're just wrong. because i said so.

Bell's Expedition = 4.31

Founder's Imperial = 4.25

it's like an earthquake. 4.31 is 60 times more powerful than 4.25.

it's a scientific fact.

Ouch. Furley quoting science to back up a position. No way in hell can I compete with that. Just don't ask him to 'splain that science.
