This beer doesn't suck.
4.25btw - Two Brothers Cane & Ebel is pretty good
 And Skylord will find out soon enough.
You sir, are a good man.
:lmao: You must have quoted the wrong post. That was a NG post. :lmao:
Yes, but he's sending me beer. :)
It's a fact, Gator. Deal with it. Don't blame the rest of us because you suck at FFB. Don't show us your ugly side. Please.Actually, I can't stress strongly enough how much we don't want to see your "ugly" side. :X

I only wish. I tried to get it for TT and couldn't. :kicksrock:
 hmm... maybe Fat Max or Skylord then?
I can get it, but I don't think I sent it to you. but then again, the brain cells that stored that data might have died an untimely death. :banned:
Pretty sure I sent it, but to be honest, I don't remember everything that I packed up for Furley. I just know that there was a lot of beer in that box.

Still no sign of the 60th Anniversary Abt 12. : :( Picked up a Foret which is what I am drinking now, and also a 6 pack of Abita 20th Anniversary Pilsner. Now, I normally would not pick up an Abita, but the beer clerk at the store gave it rave reviews and this guy has good taste in beer. Its also getting pretty good reviews on BA, and I am always looking for really good pilsners to try (not a lot of good ones out there).
Yeah, me neither. I forgot to ask my beer monger when I was shopping today too.
Speaking of beer mongers, I'm banning myself from the big beer stores in Sacramento. I can't walk through the front door without spending $100.
I am very familiar with this feeling.

Quiet around here tonight. Seems like Tip Top has been going out on the town more than normal, no?
Wasn't out of town this weekend. My brother, who I haven't seen since Christmas, is in town. We consumed many, many beers last night. I will take a picture of that damage later today and will be on after I bring him to the airport. Before that though, a trip to Town Hall. Growlers of the Smoked Porter will be purchased.

Hey FullerThere's a guy named Alaskaiscold in Tennessee that needs his ### kicked. If you see him, can you give him the once over for me? TIA
I agree. That guy backed out on a trade with me after I had already bought the beer.

It was a while ago. I remember it included a growler, but I am not sure what else it was.

Alrightythen. For your reference, I won't DK or skimp on any of our trades. Just ask Skylord. And regularguy for that matter with the BIF Box.

At least he backed out before you sent beer. Sounds like most of the people were not that lucky.

Yeah, after he backed out of that one he offered another trade. It was a good offer and I accepted it. I then gave it a thought and lied and told him that I couldn't get what he wanted. Just didn't trust him enough. Glad I made that call.

I will be back and in full effect. Just was out doing many things this weekend, which included much drinking, poker, and strippers. :)
Nice. Any good, plate glass bax stories?
Not that I know of, but when I left the bachelor party he was still there and looked like he was going to pass out sitting up.

I left at 12:30 (had to work at 4:30) and apparently he was there until the time I started work. Oh, and the strippers were dirty, dirty, dirty.

I just came back from a trip to Westvleteren, Belgium. I bought 2 cases of the Westvleteren 12. We had one tonight, and will probably store most of the rest to age. Anyone have any information about how long to let it age, what is the best tempurature to drink it at, etc?

Here is a link to some pictures from the trip:

The line of cars on the road = the line to get into the place?

About as long as it takes in transit to get to me, buddy.

Yah. People showed up as early as 4:30am to buy beer, it went on sale at 8:30am, 2 crates per car max., and they expected to be sold out by mid-day..

I know a great place here in North Carolina that is perfect for aging that beer. :D As far as aging, the Westies should last for years. I would plan on drinking a couple every year to see how it ages. It would be best to age the beer at cellar temperatures much like wine. As for drinking it, 55 degrees F would be ideal for the Westy.

ETA: Good article on storing beer

pretty sure you're my least favorite FBG right now :(

drank the Ithaca Cascazilla last nite.. man.. it was awful.

pretty sure i had a bad bottle as it was bottled in 2004. smelled like rotting vegetation/old dead grass. tasted like bratwurst boiled in beer that had been sitting out for 8 hours.

just not pleasant at all. i gave it the lowest review on BA to date. 2.75 but it really shoulda been lower probably.

noted in my review that i think i didn't get a fair representation of the beer... http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/651/1...?ba=thefatkid13

so today, i get an email from the brewer saying "You deserve better than a beer bottled in 2004. Send us your address and we'll drop a couple in the mail for you. I think you'll be able to write a better review after that."

:pickle:

how cool is that!?

:lmao: seems like a lot of brewers are on that site.. i've heard from at least 4 in my 1.5 years there. this is the first one to offer me beer but others have sent schwag (Deschutes).

Hasn't been on IM all day either.

Just got back from Town Hall. Had lunch with my brother, had a couple beers, and picked up two growlers of their Smoked Porter. They will be shipped tomorrow.

next time you're at Town Hall, go across the street to Bully's (think that's it)... scream out "WARF!!!!!!!!" and then punch in the nuts the first guy who responds.

that's it.. Bullwinkle's.

chances are he's gonna be prepared for it. he might stash an ashtray in his drawers in a pre-emptive maneuver. be wary.

sometimes the penalty does fit the crimes...hello again, you might remember me from such recent beers as gritty's halloween ale and stone imperial russian stout. two nights ago, i had stone vertical epic 06.06.06 which i'd give an affirmative two thumbs up.

tonight, i'll be making a beer run over to florian's market and hope they have allagash 11th anniversary ale. why does a beer with 5 ratings over '4' have an overall WR of 3.78? [Overall (Weighted Rank - WR)

An applied Bayesian-style formula, that takes into consideration the beer's average, number of reviews and other beers in the dB. For statistical purposes, a beer must have 5 or more reviews in order to be assigned an overall WR.]

One random thing I wanted to ask where you guys have all been here longer than I have. Does no one at this site partake in the free ESPN or Yahoo pick'em groups? I started a topic about it in the Shark forum and got 0 responses. WTF.

Oh, and cheers. :banned:

i gave it 4.5's on all but taste which i gave a 5

really wish they had .25 increments.. kinda nerdy, sure.. but.. i'd have given it 4.75's across the board plus the 5 for taste.
