What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

I have me a Sam Adam's Variety pack left over from Turkey Day.

Right now Im segueing from a Winter Lager right into a Cranberry Lambic... :banned:

WTF is a Lambic anyway?

picked up 4-packs of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout and DIPA today. along with a couple bottles of Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye and Black Bear Stout.

unfortunately they were out of Racer 5 and according to the store owner don't know if their Bear Republic pipeline is being cinched off or not as they haven't got any new bottles in for quite a while.
Pay day?
guy, i pack a pimp roll in my cuffs.. every day is pay day.

Another F'n Brooklyn East IPA.About to venture out and find a beer store. The BA pretty much says all the stores near here suck, but I have to do something. Wish me luck.
here's my third shot at this.get in a cab (or on the train) go to Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens) and head over to Thrifty on Court Street (i think it's 256 Court Street).they will have all the beer you need.

You live in Green Bay. Let's be realistic here. You don't have cuffs.

buying all my clothes at the Salvation Army means the pants can be a little longish at times. i'm taking it back to the Jets and cuffing my pants.

Hey- Cuff Boyee! WTF is a "Lambic?" ;)

trying some new stuff tonight...

Sierra Nevada 2006 Brown Ale

Sleeman Cream Ale 64*

Sleeman IPA 46*

Green Valley Brewing Wild Hop Organic Amber Lager

all four were pretty good. Was surprised by the Wild Hop Lager. After reading how horrible organic beer was, I actually thought it was alright.

LambicI will say that the Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic is a very very loose use of that term though. Don't let that beer make you decide what you think of the style.

wikiThe SA cranberry lambic is fruit lambic...a beer that has fruit added to it during fermentation.

Thanks, but I dont have that kind of time unfortunately. That is a good 30-45 minute drive ONE WAY unless I go at 9 pm. Unfortunately working one week on, one off, means I bust balls my one working week, and get my crazy brew my week off. I found some good brews in queens (as stated above) so I am happy for tonight, and leaving Sunday.

Well, it's most certainly cider like...in a cranberryesque sort of way.

I went HERE. I saw all the places in Brooklyn and around, but they were too far or to confusing for me to get to. Don't forget to rate your local markets at BA, it seriously helps us travelers. My locals are all rated, so I never rated them. But if your local is not on the list or isn't pimped the way it needs to be, people like me appreciate your knowledge.

Pyramid Thunderhead IPA. wasn't expecting much but was presently surprised

If you make it to MN on business consider yourself taken care of. We will raid my cellar a bit and hit up Town Hall. :suds:

Believe me, I have looked at every store that has been rated at BA. Then I mapquest them. I spend hours trying to find a good beer place. These last 2, Community (linked above) and Beer Garden are doable. I would never recommend them, but they at least had a variety, not just Bud. Thanks for the link. Next time I am traveling (head to detroit, I know Dertoit, on Dec 11) but when I travel next on Jan 14th (month off paid :pickle: ) I will look for advise here once again.

A few weeks back someone linked an online store many use. Can someone link me to that again? I am not buying, I just wonder what I paid for these brews, cause it seemed extremely steep (I didn't get a receipt).

I'm in sunny Florida (not so much sun today). I was able to pick up a couple of interesting brews for the weekend. I had a Hitachino Nest White Ale tonight. Very interesting interpretation of a belgain wit. Other beers that I picked up included a Samiclaus, a Cuvee Diabolique, a Grottenbeir, and a Stoudt's Double IPA. Its definitely not a beer wasteland down here, just not any local beers of significance.

Wow, I have never said :honda: and am sort of sad to since it was just a couple posts up.
Yeah, no one had answered him so I started replying, got pulled away for a few minutes, came back and posted. Saw yours but didn't feel like deleting.

for that area I would think Vintage Cellar would apply best.
Not it.. and don't think about the area... give me a place that has EVERYTHING.
I am gonna recap...I think I paid for a 6er or 2 that I didnt purchase.

I bought

750ml of Allagash White

6 pack of Smuttynose Finestkind IPA

12oz Keegan's Ale Mother's Milk

12oz Keegan's Ale Hurricane Kitty

cost (incl. tax and 5 cent deposit) $27

Is there any way this correct?

You rock! It was the Archer link I think!ETA: Oh well, lost per diem... guess no reason to cry over spilt milk. I was about to dog em for the over price on BA, but meh, not worth my time. Live and learn. They saw the sucker Gringo walk though the door and took my scrilla. Live and learn.

One place I checked had the Allagash for 6.95 and the Smuttynose for 8.95. Not sure how much the singles would have cost.

Inlaws are in town this weekend. No beer for me, its all about the wine. I'll switch back to our regulary scheduled program for the games on Sunday. I've got a Great Lakes Barrel Aged Blackout Stout burning a hole in my cellar...

Am I the only loser sitting here drinking?Finishing up my Smutty Finest IPAFly home tomorrow... so for now I drink alone.
Just finished Hell Hath No Fury by Bell's. Very good.I may go have a Vertical Epic 06/06/06 to celebrate Michigan getting into the National Championship.

Well after futher review, the Allagash is a January 2005 batch. So maybe that jacked up my price.
