What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

Two Brother's Ebel's Weiss Beer. Very much a German style wheat.
Sounds good. My nephew got a "6 pack" of beers from his dad. All minkegs. Mostly average stuff like Bitburger and Spaten. One was Paulaner though. He's never had a hefe. I offered to take it off his hands. No luck.

why are people (not the regulars) who check in here with the beer of their choice so defensive about it?

"Bud Light. deal with it."

"Keystone - you guys can stick it if you don't like it"

etc.

when have "we" criticized someones choice? okay, i mean.. when have "we" seriously criticized someone's choice?

this thread is A Place of Happiness and Joy. we're just here to talk beer and... well... observe Nucular George in his natural habitat.

Still one of my favorite beers in any style, including Dreadnaught and GI Imperial. It's obviously not on the same level as those two, but it's a super easy beer to drink and it has plenty unique flavors to be interesting. I usually keep a 6er in the basement and work through it.

Guinness Extra Stout in the bottle
:wingnut:f'n hillbilly!!!
not out of the bottle
So you opened it and just left it in the bottle? :lmao:
Awesome! Good schtick here, Gator. At least I hope ;)
What shtick? Pretending to be Furley?
I hope the rest of the brews your try from me are skunked. :gang1:
Then send him Keystone Light. Avoids that whole problem.

Wrong. I send beer that is "supposed" to be good, then he tries it and :X .Keystone just gets thrown right the #### out upon seeing it.

Saw some Ballast Point beer locally for the first time last night, so that was good. My local beermonger brought in Calico Copper Amber Ale. Pretty good I thought. Reminded me of Lagunitas Red, in that it is hopped enough to almost tread into IPA territory.

Unfortunately, that's all he had from Ballast. I put in a request for Big Eye and Dorado, but I'm not holding my breath.

TT - I see this on your want list. Did you ever get some? I can include a couple of bottles for your FF winnings if you'd like.

I haven't had this one yet. A couple bottles would be great. :pickle:

can you Cali guys post a general review of what beers are available in the North/South/Statewide?TIA
I can get pretty much everything at my stores except for El Toro, Alpine and Beermanns
Other than the Bourbon Barrel stuff, you're not missing much with Beermann's. Oh, and I can hardly find El Toro either, so don't feel too bad.Like Skylord said, I think almost all NorCal brews make it South. Only a couple SoCal brews make it up here with any consistancy and those are Firestone Walker and Stone. Can't get Alesmith, Port/Lost Abbey, Ballast Point (until very recently), Alpine, etc.
