What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

Got a nice promotion today (w/a nice bump in cab-bahj),

so, what's my first stop on the home from work?

The local fridgerated cases of course!

Only got 3 bombers, but for your ole' Uncle H,

that's livin' it up these days.

Coolin' in the fridge:

1 Rogue Shakespeare Stout

& 1 Anderson Valley Brother David's Triple Abbey

(not usually of big fan of Belgian style, but AVBC is my personal fave brewery,

and I've never had the pleasure with this particular offering).

Currently sipping one of my recent brews of choice:

Moylan's Moylander Double IPA.

Yuh-um

:goodposting:

Makers and diet ginger ale, all while playing $6.50 pokerstars.

This is after finishing a bottle of Dynamite cab with a bone-in ribeye with baby port's and garlic bread.

Mud out

At the reccomendation of people on this board, I went to the store last night to get a six pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. They were out of the Pale so I got Porter instead, and was pleasently suprised. I think i even like it better than Guiness.

Well on the East Coast we're past noon, so I'm kicking off the day with a Long Trail Hibernator. I have various Stone Brewings chilling for company (Arrogants Ruinations and Smokers).

And my beer guy gave me a free sample of Brooklyn Brewing Chocolate Stout. Nice guy.

,Also for you guys in the know I've seen Double IPA's mentioned here and there. Anything I should try? TIA.

Awesome. Welcome to the club.

So the gang is coming over for a fish fry/crawfish boil. And the one brings in Miller Lite.... WTF :bye:

Should I kick his ### out or do I really have to sit him down to explain it. :wall:

GDB people living their lives in bubbles :goodposting:

Maybe not kick his ###, but a back hand to the cheek will help.

Just keep your eyes on him. There's nothing quite as irritating as the morning after a poker game when I notice that all the Hop Devil is mysteriously gone, while all the Miller Lite people brought is still in my fridge.

IMO, identifying the hops you like is the key in finding IPAs/DIPAs that you might like. For example, Wyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA has the name of the primary hop right in the title so you will have somewhat of an idea as to whether you like IPAs that use Simcoe after trying this beer. Find some brewers that list their ingredients right on the website like Smuttynose whose IPA and DIPA are well-regarded. DFH 60 Min. and 90 Min. are widely distributed popular IPAs. Stone is good as well. Of course you can look up the style at BeerAdvocate or RateBeer and just look for what is rated well.

Definitely if you like the hoppier IPA's. Recommendations would depend on what's available to you. Where are you located?

Duckboy> :popcorn:i'll take a bottle of HOTD EveTIA
Well, those seem only to be available at the HOTD Dock Sale. When that comes around, I'll probably take preorders, though I'm not sure how many I can get. And it will be for cash likely - if I bring home a sixer for $210 and don't see some cash out of it, my financial advisor will be none to happy.

No clue what happened to the other board. I emailed the site from their "contact us" area. So we'll see if they have an answer. I am getting an error on both our site and another I have myself there. So not sure what's going on. The Home page for the site says that he started using different software because of spam bots, and says something to the affect of "sorry I didn't migrate the databases over". Not sure what that means eventually, but sure sounds like our stuff got lost. Sucks if that's the case. Anyway, we'll see if they say anything to me.

THIS IS NOT HAPPENING. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING.

$35 for a 12 ozerThough as I understand it, probably worth every penny.
I am as big a beer snob as anybody here. But there is no ####### way I'm paying $35 for a 12oz bottle. No. #######. Way. And you're talking to a guy who bought two cases of Supplication and a case of Depuration from RRBC. So I'm not shy about plunking money down for good stuff. Looks like I won't be doing that though, sadly.

If you click your heels three times, you'll be back home in Kansas.

Well, I'm going to take a nap now. Will deal with the BTG issue later. Don't know if there's anything I can do until I get an answer from them. If I do. If we do lose everything, then this will serve as a reason for us to simply migrate to a permanent website for the BS. We'll see what happens around 4pm Central when I wake up.
