What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

I tried some Fuller's 1845 last night for the first time and really liked it. Not as much as I liked Thomas Hardy's Ale, but I will definitely have it again.

You a fan of the English ales?
I never was until I tried Thomas Hardy's and Fuller's, but I like both of them quite a bit.
 It's been awhile since I have had either. I should revisit them again sometime soon. Historically, I have never been a fan of English ales, so I have pretty much avoided all of them for the last few years. Probably a dumb stance for me to take.

1554 New Belgium Enlightened Black Ale

A little heavy for me, but I ran out of the Alexander Keith's my inlaws brought in from Canada.

Immanuel Kant was a real pissant

who was very rarely stable.

Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar

who could think you under the table.

David Hume could out consume

Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel,

And Wittgenstein was a beery swine

who was just as sloshed as Schlegel.

There's nothing Nietzsche couldn't teach ya

'bout the raisin' of the wrist.

Socrates himself was permanently pissed.

John Stuart Mill, of his own free will,

after half a pint of shandy was particularly ill.

Plato, they say, could stick it away,

'alf a crate of whiskey every day!

Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle,

and Hobbes was fond of his Dram.

And Rene Descartes was a drunken fart:

"I drink, therefore I am."

Yes, Socrates himself is particularly missed;

A lovely little thinker, but a bugger when he's pissed.
