What time did San diego's plane arrive home last night (1 Viewer)

I can't imagine they touched down before two in the morning nor got home much before three. Given that they have to travel again this week, I wonder if travel fatique could be a factor. It's awefully early in the year to be fatiqued, but their trip to Green Bay is certainly looking like more of a challenge than it appeared when the schedule was released.

oh jesus christ --- dude, I already dedicated a thread to chargers fans to use for their excuses.

how many threads do you guys need??

Thanks for your thoughts. I am aware you have been running around being a #####y punk in any number of charger threads. Your presence is as obvious as a turd on a thanksgiving table. This thread, however, is not a charger excuse thread and I am not a Charger fan. This thread is an attempt to explore a somewhat shortened preparation week for a team that had it's confidence shaken going on the road for the second consecutive week to face a team gaining confidence. It is, actually, a gambling thread.

If I only had an "owned" smiley. . . .

don't get carried away w/gb.

just because the chargers got their asses beat by the best team in football doesn't mean some nfc will pop up and hand it to them.

gb's a good team, but let's not get crazy.

It might be possible to get carried away with Green Bay were Jennings and Morency healthy. With those two the Packers would have enough additional offensive tools to use more or less their full offense. As it stands right now their offense is quite one dimensional and that is not a good thing against S.D. defense.

On the other hand S.D. did have some defensive bumps and bruises as indicated by the braces some wore in the second half. On a somewhat shortened week they game does not look as lopsided as it once did, and Jennings may be back this week.

To me what was once an obvious "W" in S.D.'s column is now somewhat of an open question. I'll be watching S.D.'s reaction this week to their thrashing to see if it stiffens their resolve or if it depletes them.

Hey man Im thinking the same as you. Im always looking at the travel schedule. These guys will have minimum one less practice day. Flying to west coast is definatelty a factor. That guy jawing you sounds foolish to me for not thinking this is a factor.GB's D is pretty good.

The answer to the question is: 5am PST.

The Chargers have the day off today.

Most significant injuries were Jamal Williams (who says he'll play this week) and Shane Olivea.

gb's d IS pretty good, against their nfc peers.

the chargers barely beat seattle last year, and they have some glaring holes in their team --- one of which plays into gb's strength, but I don't think you'll be seeing anything like that giants team.

I wouldn't take gb straight up, but since this is supposedly a gambling thread, it's kind of pointless w/o the points.

Olivea hurts their depth, but he is the weakest part of that line anyway. Jamal Williams would be a HUGE loss to the defense.

Why do you say that Olivea is the weakest link?

They just resigned him didn't they!

I have him signed through 2011 with a nice reasonable contract.

The Chargers have Norval to rally them. The game's already in the bag.

With his arm clearly very much weakened traps and draws in his gap would be favorable. The old Packer's ran these, the current regime, not so much. Less pressure up the middle helps on all the drags and crossing routes Driver and Lee run.In the end I think this game is a stay away game. Neither team has convinced me they are how they have appeared thus far.

:violin: You think you know, but you don't know........and you never will.
I jest of course (sort of) as a long-suffering 'Skins fan who has been long suffering in large part because of Norv, but the fact is that it seems every year we constantly have to relearn the lesson that otherwise good teams that switch coaches tend to have transition problems. Bad teams (e.g. the 2006 Saints) have nothing to lose and can often get a boost, but if you were 14-2, you don't have anywhere else to go but down. The Chargers will be in the playoffs and will probably will win the division (though Denver figures to give them more of a fight this year) but I'm not sure that we're going to see them as being a dominant team earlier than the middle part of the season.
