Same, but stretch that 8 out to 9. Sunday dinner is typically about 6 and Friday about 7, but those are generally the only 2 nights we have control of.Highly dependent on the night's activities. Voted 5:30-6:30 but really, it could be anywhere from 5-8

I presuming they're going until midnight...TF are Spain and Portugal doing? They eat dinner then go straight to bed?
I grew up in a Polish Catholic family and this was our exact schedule.5:30-6:00 is the sweet spot for Mon-Sat.
Sunday is/was/always shall be 3:30![]()

Surprised they didn't include Argentina. It's even later.TF are Spain and Portugal doing? They eat dinner then go straight to bed?
Same but reverse order. Want the dinner table cleared by 7pm so we can watch Jeopardy. We try to time it so The Wheel is wrapping up and Jeopardy is on in the background.

7:30-8:00 is family time. You know what you do during family time time?
Well you talk about your day.
[At Jerry:'s. He's on the phone]
Jerry: Melanie, you can shush me at every opportunity. 5? 3? Oh, it was just an expression. All right, well, that's very sweet of you. Okay, I'll call you later. All right, bye. Hey!
Kramer: What?
Jerry: I had a very interesting lunch with George: Costanza today.
Kramer: Really?
Jerry: We were talking about our lives and we both kind of realized we're kids. We're not men.
Kramer: So, then you asked yourselves, "Isn't there something more to life?"
Jerry: Yes. We did.
Kramer: Yeah, well, let me clue you in on something. There isn't.
Jerry: There isn't?
Kramer: Absolutely not. I mean, what are you thinking about, Jerry:? Marriage? Family?
Jerry: Well...
Kramer: They're prisons. Man made prisons. You're doing time. You get up in the morning. She's there. You go to sleep at night. She's there. It's like you gotta ask permission to use the bathroom. Is it all right if I use the bathroom now?
Jerry: Really?
Kramer: Yeah, and you can forget about watching TV while you're eating.
Jerry: I can?
Kramer: Oh, yeah. You know why? Because it's dinner time. And you know what you do at dinner?
Jerry: What?
Kramer: You talk about your day. How was your day today? Did you have a good day today or a bad day today? Well, what kind of day was it? Well, I don't know. How about you? How was your day?
Jerry: Boy.
Kramer: It's sad, Jerry. It's a sad state of affairs..
Jerry: I'm glad we had this talk.
Kramer: Oh, you have no idea.

Man, I feel bad for those of you that only get to see your kids for a brief time every day. I get a solid hour with my kids in the morning before daycare and then probably 2.5 hours when they get home before bed. It often feels like I'm pulling my hair out getting them ready for daycare or eating dinner, but man those are the best hours of the day (that and having lunch with my wife most days).I’m usually not home from work/gym after work until 7:00. Kids go to bed at 7:30 so usually they’re eating when I get home and my wife and then need to get them ready for bed, spend some time, etc. then wait to eat until after they go to bed.
So, answered the question for now with 7:30 but my hope is that in a few years when the kids are older and my work hours reduce a bit it’ll be 6:30.
This. Plus it seems to follow the sun going down. In the winter when the sun goes down earlier we tend to eat earlier. After this time change and the sun doesn't go down until 8pm we tend to not start thinking about dinner until much later.Highly dependent on the night's activities. Voted 5:30-6:30 but really, it could be anywhere from 5-8

On topic: I voted 5-6 because my little rascals get hangry if we don't have dinner shortly after they get home. We've tried pushing dinner closer to 6 and it hasn't worked, so we usually start dinner somewhere between 500 and 530.
Sorry Woz, that wasn't meant to be a slam at all. It just makes me really thankful that I able to spend lots of time with my kids.I get some time in the morning but not much.
I always make sure I dedicate all or most of a weekend day to be with them.
Same. Up to possibly 9 on the weekends.Highly dependent on the night's activities. Voted 5:30-6:30 but really, it could be anywhere from 5-8
I didn't take it that way. Just completing the opportunities.Sorry Woz, that wasn't meant to be a slam at all. It just makes me really thankful that I able to spend lots of time with my kids.
