What would it take for u to trade (1 Viewer)

FWIW, I was counter-offered (but revoked an hour later):myTurner + Rivers + 1.06for hisCalvin + Flacco + 3.10 + 4.10I'm not sure I would have taken it anyway, but based on this thread, I'm sure some people would.
I offered:Chris Johnson + Rivers + 39th pickforCalvin + Flacco + 33rd pickWas turned down without a moments thought. Think I'm done trying to buy him in that league.

i'm sure calvin will turn out to be a good WR, but for those players it will be several years before he(calvin) catches up to the points they produce.

I was offered 1.01, 2.12, and 3.12 for Calvin. I countered asking for 1.01, 1.03, 2.01, and 3.12. From the looks of some trades, this still isn't good value for me...

I am in a situation where I have to trade Fitz next season by week 10 or lose him without compensation (4 year keeper). Before coming to this thread, I thought I could get Megatron, no questions asked (and I really would prefer to keep Fitz)...I guess I am wrong. Honestly, if I had my druthers, I would take Fitz and not look back. Both are young, but Fitz has been elite for a couple of years now, his QB2 is better than anything throwing to Calvin, Calvin has all the attention while Fitz has Boldin and Breaston to draw coverage, one team in going to the Super Bowl while the other set a record for futility...wait, why do "we" prefer Calvin to Fitz??
Probably because when you consider everything you just listed, Calvin still had the same number of TDs and only 100 fewer receiving yards...and that was only Calvin's 2nd year. No stud WR would have had as many negatives as Calvin did this past year and still put up monster numbers. That doesn't even factor in Calvin's upside.
Remember that Fitz also had a monster sophomore season with a line of something like 100 1400 10. Granted he had Warner throwing to him for much of that season, but he also had Josh McCown chucking the ball to him about half the time. Similar situation to CJ's second season with constant shuffling of QB's and a bad team. Was his situation as bad as Calvin's? No. Just trying to put things in perspective.
Yeah, I agree (obviously) on this. I just always prefer the guy that did it longer (not too much longer where age would come into play), but even in dynasty/keeper, I play for the next few years, not next ten. You have to wonder whether teams will totally sell out on covering CJ and we do not know what to expect with the new regime. As I stated, i would prefer Fitz and really see no downside (contract is in hand, better supporting cast).

 Yeah we are all waiting patiently for Calvin to show us he is a "good" WR. After Moss's rookie year did you think he would be merely "good"?

Moreno, Crabtree and maybe some IDP prospects for Calvin? I'd do it if I was him.

You're looking at it wrong.

This thread and a couple other threads discussing the top WR's have been pretty enlightening.

The discussion here and elsewhere seems to indicate that the first 7 picks of a startup dynasty draft might look something like this:

ADP

MJD

Calvin

Fitz

SJax

AJ

Turner

There may be other RB's thrown in, and maybe even a QB, but those 4 seem to be the only ones that people are throwing out there as similar in value to the top WR's.

I wonder, though, is it likely that startup dynasty drafts will see 3 WR's in the top 6 picks?

It would take quite a bit for me to deal a guy like Calvin.

Straight up the only one i'd consider is ADP.

I like Fitz just as much, but wouldn't trade either for the other.

I was just offered.....

Warner, Fitz, Wayne and Owen Daniels

for

Hasselbeck, CJ, AJ, and Cooley

This is still not enough for CJ and AJ even though I have Manning and could have the Manning to Wayne hook up.

I'm not sure why MJD is in that company. I wish I had him but he's (IMHO) got some question marks and is not at that level yet.I might take Fitz and a worthwhile bump in draft position for CJ.

I have the 1.05 pick in an 09 dynasty that only requires starting one rb. I was seriously thinking of taking CJ before reading this thread. Now I think it's the best move. I really don't see any rb's that I would rather have at 1.05, too many questions at that point. any opinions on how soon is too soon to take Calvin in this format?

How many WR's do you have to start, and is it PPR? How many teams in the league? Assuming a 12 person league, where you have to start 3 or more WR's, i would take CJ, Fitz and AJ 1,2, and 3, even in a non-PPR.

This seems to basically be the same players for the same players.

in a ppr dynasty league, i just traded:

1.01, steve smith (car), terrell owens and chad ocho cinco

for

1.08, calvin johnson, anquan boldin and mark clayton

Great deal for you. Id rather have the CJ package by a good margin

I've turned down the following recently for CJ in a 12-team PPR league:

1) straight up for Cutler

2) for Tony Gonzalez and Roy Williams

2) for Reshard Mendenhall and Roy Williams

2 and 3 were from the same guy.

You might want to link that guy to this thread.
