It's obviously a lot easier to call for risky throws when you know your offense can easily make up the points later. Can't see them throwing into triple coverage too often this year...

He should be a decent #1WR if everything goes well. There's also the distinct possibility of him returning to his Oakland #'s. Cassell sucks and I don't have anything close to the high hopes for the patriots that most people seem to.

I tried trading for him before the season started thank god I got denied.
No, and to be determined.I was happy to see Moss's feedback to the media post Jets game. Paraphrasing, "not one of you guys in the media had us winning this game..haters keep hating because we're comin...". It would seem that his relationship with being a Patriot is deeper than having a pet quarterback, which is nice.

The Jets specifically gameplanned to take Moss out of the game, including at times using Calvin Pace to bump Moss at the line, backed up by Revis covering AND a safety rolled to Moss' side of the field.

Most teams will not be doing this.

To be argumentative, why wouldn't they?

1. It allows Welker to pick up 10 yds a pop at will by removing a safety and a LB from the middle of the field2. By removing a LB from the box, makes the defense far more easier to run on.

3. Cassel looked like a backup college QB on Sunday and the Jets made the game easier for him by turning him into a 1-2 read quarterback, and as a result the Patriots won this game fairly easily on the road.

4. Although this argument may be counterproductive, a lot of defensive coordinators are just plain lazy and set in their ways in their gameplans.

If I may, because it allows the otherwise pedestrian Patriots run game to control time of possession and win football games that it might otherwise not.

Agreed. It seems Moss really is buying into the Patriot way at this point - putting the team before himself - which is great to see. Still, one does have to wonder if winning will continue to be enough. It's a long season.

I think now is the time to buy low. At worst you are going to have a guy that will get 1150 and 8 TDs barring injury and as Cassel continues week after week the confidence and relationship will build. I traded J. Stewart and Royal for him and couldn't be happier.

I just moved Sproles (WW pick up) & Holt for Moss. I'm very happy.
