Coke guy here. Normally I go diet Dr Pepper but if not available, it's always Diet Coke. Even the smell of Pepsi makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

Not a big pop guy anymore but used to love Coke. Would drink 2-3 cans a day as a teen and young adult. It's an easy W over Pepsi. As a matter of fact, I was born loving Coke. Actually I loved it even before I was born. My mom was a daily Pepsi drinker for years. When she got pregnant with me, she all of a sudden stopped like Pepsi and began loving Coke. This carried through (until maybe 5 years ago when she also stopped drinking pop). So I think I was a Coke fan even as a zygote.

I was a Pepsi only, binge drinker for years. When I was about 40 I stopped pop all together for probably six months and when I went back, I was Coke only for five or six years. I rarely drink either now (I’m 52). I prefer Root Beer or if I have to, Sprite.

Diet Dr. Pepper is first choice. If not available then I'll do Diet Coke. I'll drink Diet Pepsi if it's all thats available, and it's fine, but I'm never choosing it if one of the first two are there.

Most of the time when I drink a soda, it’s at a fast food restaurant’s drink machines. There, most of the time it’s orange Vanilla Coke. If they don’t have that, it’s either lime coke or a Dr Pepper flavor.
If we’re buying from the store, Kroger brand is sufficient.

Truth be told, I prefer Coke Zero, but figure I can do without the caffeine. I do have the occasional caffeinated version from time to time.

I'm actually in the same boat here. My favorite "cola" is Cherry Vanilla Coke, but if it comes to a plain cola, then I'm taking Pepsi every time.

Funnily enough, even though I rarely drink either.... I also prefer Mello Yello over Mountain Dew, which I'm sure would be opposite the majority of soda drinkers.

You could definitely tell the difference. You just may not be able to say which one is which. But I will help you. Pepsi is less carbonated and much more syrupy. Coke is very carbonated and much better.
