When I was younger I would have said Pizza. Nowadays, it's hamburgers and it's not close.
This.

Pizza is a fat/carbs disaster.

At least with a burger I can pick a healthy meat like a grass fed beef or bison and do a lettuce wrap instead of a bun and have a good meal.

I know there are healthified options with Pizza but they are a lot worse than what i just described with the burger.
Neither is healthy. But cauliflower crust veggie pizza is arguably better than any burger. Even if your “burger“ is bunless, with the finest grass fed meat.
Why would you say that?

I almost never eat either of these nowadays. Both are awesome, of course, but they often involve eating from restaurants, which I rarely do.

Going with burgers because, the older I get, the more awful I feel after eating pizza. My body just can't take that load of carbs and cheese anymore.

People have become so obsessed with processed carbohydrates, they‘ve forgotten other stuff is unhealthy, too.

Red meat has a lot of protein, and a few micronutrients, like B vitamins and iron. It also tends to be high in saturated fat, and devoid of fiber. High intake of red meat is associated a higher risk for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and premature death. The key word is “high”, of course.

Now if the pizza is piled with cheese, some of those same risks apply, and salt content can be a problem, too.

But if dairy products are used sparingly, the veggie pizza on cauliflower crust offers a ton of vitamins, fiber and none of the down sides of red meat.

Really the only potential health advantage of the burger is the amount of protein, but animal protein isn’t as healthy as that obtained from plants.

Hmm.. might have to just agree to disagree on that.

That’s fine. But you may want to double check the data supporting your beliefs. Then look at what long lived populations eat.

Anyway, this isn’t a thread about nutrition.

Pizza is the answer because:

1. It offers more variety - styles, toppings
2. It can be enjoyed at any temperature
3. It can accommodate any dietary preference
4. It can be eaten any time of day, and as any meal course
5. The leftovers are nearly as good as when it’s fresh
6. It’s easier to eat

Exactly, it's not close as the poll indicates

Go back to Russia!

Agree with those citing pizza's variety. I was a vegetarian in my younger days. Not now but I could easily see myself giving up beef in the future. My body doesn't really require beef and the industry isn't great, environmentally. Burgers are yummy and I'd miss them, but would miss pizza more.
