Miss. ALWAYS miss.

Tell an 80 year old woman miss, get a smile and never upset.

Tell a 29 year old ma'am and you done.

Did someone already list MILF?  (or is that censored)?

Edit: Not censored

In a professional setting, young women "ma'am" and old women "miss". Similar to telling pretty women they're smart and smart women they're pretty.

This is not always correct.  Us southern gents can pull this off with no problems. :brush:
You say that - I've witnessed the opposite.

Like I said, can't go wrong with the youthful implocations of "miss"

Now, if you KNOW a women is a southern belle she won't be offended.  If you know wrong, well.. like I said...

Pro tip, they will most likely prefer to be called miss (can't speak for the southerners where it appears to be standard).  From those who I have talked to, ma'am makes them feel old.  I always use miss.
If I'm not in the south then yup, ma'am sounds like I'm an older woman.
