A few things here:

1. I'm starting to wonder about Maclin's nerves. That's 3 times now where he has failed to come through in the clutch. He had an easy first down on the last drive and he tripped over his own feet, because he started running before he had caught the ball(could have been a better throw, but he had time to gather himself) he also lost a fumble on a potential game winning drive against San Fran, and dropped the huge TD pass in Atlanta. If Maclin makes all three of those routine plays, Philly might very well be 6-2 right now.

Not to take anything away from your statement as its perfectly valid, but they would be 7-1 right now if their defense could hold a 4th quarter lead.

THIS is far more disturbing to me. TOo many 4th qtr leads dissapearing.

They out-did themselves this week giving up not 1, but 2 4th Q leads. So technically they've blown 6 4th Q leads this year. Maybe Reid's realizing now that to be a DC for a team with Super Bowl aspirations you need more on your resume then just sitting next to Jim Johnson all those years (for the readers who have not been following along as intently as some of us Eagles fans, yes that was one of Andy's rationales for promoting Castillo to DC).
